Gold Glitz Watercolor

Hey Stampers,

Morning ! Well, I have to confess something. Not EVERY card I make is a masterpiece. Hahahahaha. Do you ever just make a card and not sure if you even like it or not ?? Thats the case with todays card. I was loving it while I was making it - and then the finished product left me feeling kind of “meh”. So I’ll leave it up to you guys! Was this one a hit or a miss ??

I went uber crazy with the Gold Heat Embossing on this baby. As you may have been aware, I am on a total gold kick lately ! So I took the awesome Off the Grid stamp and embossed it in gold. Then I added some Gorgeous Grunge splats and splatters in Crisp Cantaloupe and Pistachio Pudding. But there STILL wasn’t enough gold, so the polka dots image from Happy Watercolor got added there as well, embossed in more gold. So as much as I love all that shiny bling - I am still not sure if I love this card of not hahahaha. Even with the Gold Bakers Twine and Gold Fancy Foil Vellum making an appearance.

So, leave me a comment ! Do you like this card ? Or if you don’t, what would you do to change it up ?? Thanks so much for dropping by today and Happy Stamping !!

Sweet Baby Boys

Hey Stampers,

It seems everyone I know are having babies this year, and they are ALL boys! SO I have made many a blue baby card this  year. I found an awesome GIRL card on Pinterest by Robin Merriman. I decided to recreate it for a boy ! See her girlie card on her blog here and compare it to mine !!

I am SO SO sad the Happy Watercolor set is not carrying over into the new catty !! That little background splash is SO useful for so many things !! Hopefully the new Work of Art set will be able to fill it shoes. But the awesome Baby We’ve Grown set IS staying around - so yay ! I paired the adorable shoes here with some Fresh Prints DSP and the Deco Labels framelits. LOVE how it turned out ! And the colors of Bermuda Bay, Pool Party and Baked Brown Sugar are so fab together. Love it !

And here is a peek at the inside !! My friend Krista and her little baby Jarrett loved this card, hope you do too !!

Well thats it for me today !! Thanks a lot for coming by and Happy Stamping !!

Striped Secret Garden

Hey Stampers,

One of my FAV perks of being an SU Demo is the awesome Stampin' Success magazine we get ever 2 months. It is SO full of awesome ideas and information. And of course, beautiful samples of projects !! The card I am sharing with you today is one that I cased pretty much EXACTLY from the Stampin’ Success from last month. The only difference is that I had to mix up the Blendabilities colors, because the sample they had used some colors they hadn’t released yet. I am SO in love with this awesome card !! Take a look !!

Isn’t that AWESOME !?!?! And to be honest, as much as I love the beautiful flowers, my labourite part of this card it the card base !! Those cool stripes were made using some Washi Tape and my Whisper White Craft Ink !! I just masked off some stripes with some washi, and sponged all one my Crumb Cake card base with my white ink. When I pulled off the washi, this pattern was what I had ! So so beautiful. I can’t wait to try it with some more colors !! And of course, the Blendabilities (and MATCHING RHINESTONES!!) are so cute too !! Just a note - the Secret Garden stamp set is on for 30% off and the matching framelits are on for 25% off during the Retirement List Blowout !! So grab them while you can, they will be gone forever on June 4th !!!

Well, thats it for me today !! Thanks for coming by and Happy Stamping !!

Another Great Year Gusseted Treat Bag

Hey Stampers,

The project I am showing you today are super fun sand easy treat bags ! SU shared the fun pattern for these at the Annual Catalogue Premiere Events they held last month. I saw a video showing how to make them over on Kim Skinners blog Stamping Imperfection. Take a look to her video if you wanna see how to make these awesome bags !! And here is my version !!

Cute right ?? My club girls will be making these this week at our meeting. I used some retiring products - the Fresh Prints DSP Stack (it uses a full sheet of the 4-1/2” x 6-1/2” paper), the Another Great Year stamp set, Hearts A Flutter set and matching framelits (which are not retiring) and the Baked Brown Sugar Ruffle Trim. So fun and easy !!

Well thats it for me !! Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Stamping !!

Very Vivid Vases

Hey Stampers,

Happy Friday to you ! Hoping you have some funs stuff planned for this weekend ! We are in for some wet weather, so no real plans for us. Hoping that means I can get some fun stamping time in !! I have a card for you today that I CASEd from the new catty ! I love using SU’s amazing samples for inspiration ! And this new catalogue is a wealth of it - it is chalk full of amazing pictures !! I am using the Blendabilities again and I paired them with the Vivid Vases single stamp from the Occasions catalogue that is carrying over into the new one ! Yay ! Take a look at this awesome card ...

Isn’t that so beautiful ! I used the Blendabilities in Coastal Cabana, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight and Rich Razzleberry to color my fun vases and flowers. This sample used more straight colouring than shading. I also love the fun stripes and polka dots too !! So easy and cute. The sample used some new DSP that I don’t have yet, so I substituted this cute Daffodil Delight pattern from the Quatrefancy DSP which is ON SALE for 50% OFF now until supplies last !! Awesome deal !! One last thing I want to highlight is that awesome new twine ! its super thick and luxurious and I am in love. This one is Coastal Cabana but the new catty will have it in all 5 of the 2012-2014 In Colors ! Awesome.

Well thats it for me today ! I hope you enjoy todays project. I am loving the Blendabilities and can’t wait until you can play with them too !! Have a lovely weekend and Happy Stamping !!

Grungy Simply Stars Birthday

Hey Stampers,

Good morning !! I have to say, the stamp set that I am the SADDEST panda ever about retiring is Simply Stars. I am SO in love with this awesome set. I will never let it go EVER !! Hahaha. So, I wanted to share the love with my Stamp Club girls this month and make a super fun card using it ! I am also pairing it with the retired Off the Grid single stamp, the Banner Greetings hostess set and some Gumball Green ink and DSP. Loving how it turned out !!

Isn’t that awesome ?!? I love this color combo of Gumball Green, Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise, Basic Gray and Silver. Those silver stars you see are from the NEW Project Life set called Point & Click. Love how well the Silver Metallic Encore ink pad shows up on the Basic Gray cardstock !! So shimmery and just enough glam to make me happy. LOL I also used the lines image from the Gorgeous Grunge in this ink as well, love it.

Some more fussy cutting on this card ! I cut out my stars and banner with as little white border showing as I could. And a strip of DSP as “faux washi” along with some real washi from the Epic Day and Retro Fresh packs. Awesome !! Loving the whole thing !!

Well thats it for me today !! If you LOVE this card as much as I do, I would love for you to join my club so you can make one too !! We have a great time !! Have a lovely day and Happy Stamping !!

Oh Hello Polka Dots !

Hey Stampers,

I had a super fun weekend of stamping so I have a bunch of new projects to show you this week !! I am trying to love on my retiring sets while they are still considered current, so thats what I used in todays card ! I LOVE the “Oh Hello” set, and am sad to see it go. That little flower is just so sweet. I also have been dying to try to make circles with the Sponge Daubers (that I don’t have), so I borrowed a couple from my sister in law and did that too !! Take a look at this CUTE card !

I am SO in love with how those dots turned out !! And the Coastal Cabana, Crumb Cake, Wild Wasabi and Real Red looks so great on the Crumb Cake layer ! One of my favourite things to do is fussy cut (I know, people think I am crazy) so I did 3 of the flowers and did them in a little bundle. The fun frame is made using the Fresh Prints DSP stack and the Deco Labels framelits. Love that look !! I just marked where I wanted to put my frame with a pencil, and then did the polka dots around it so I didn’t need to add an extra layer.

Love the fun techniques I used in this project today !! What do you think ?? I love getting comments so leave me one ! Thanks so much for dropping by today and Happy Stamping !!

Happy Watercolor Wonder-ful

Hey Stampers,

My card for today is one I did with my Club Girls a little while ago - and they LOVED it !! It uses the awesome (and soon gone FOREVER once the Occasions Catty is over on June 1st) Happy Watercolor stamp set and coordinating Watercolor Wonder DSP ! A match made in heaven if I do say so myself !! Take a look !!

Isn’t that gorgeous ?? I cased this fun idea from Marisa Gunn, as I saw it on Pinterest. See her version here. I did change it up a bit, and I love it so much ! That sentiment is embossed in Gold with my Heat Tool, and cut out with the Banners Framelits. It ALMOST doesn't fit, but I squeezed it in there hahaha. And I love using 4 different patterns of the DSP here. Great way to use a lot of the papers as they are so gorgeous it is very hard to choose just one !! And of course, my Gold Sequins is back. My official FAV thing to add to a card I think. LOL I stamped the flower image onto Watercolor Paper and used my Blender Pens to color it in. Love how the Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight and Wild Wasabi make that flower look !!

And here is a quick peek at the inside. I didn’t really know what kind of sentiment to add here, so I decided to leave it blank so I can add one later. BUT I did use the stamp set to jazz it up a bit !! And of course - sequins !! No surprise there hahahaha

Well thats it for me today !! Thanks so much for dropping by and Happy Stamping !!!

Blended Bloom in the Moonlight Sneak Peek !

Hey Stampers,

Happy Saturday to you !! it is a GORGEOUS day here in Newfoundland. And lots of people are taking advantage of the beautiful weather, because its Victoria Day Weekend !! Lots of campers around my area this weekend. We aren’t going anywhere, just staying around the house and cleaning up the yard from our long winter. Amazing how much dirt and stuff can accumulate UNDER the snow hahaha

I am showing a card today using a BUNCH of sneak peek items from our new catalogue !! My preorders (yes, multiple hahaha) came this week and I have been having such a blast playing with them !! The main item I was so psyched for was the Blendabilities markers !! I have been drooling over stuff made with alcohol markers for ages - but never tried them myself ! So I was SOOOOOOO ecstatic when Stampin’ Up! decided to come out with there own line !! So the first thing on my preorder was the Blendabilities !! I paired them with the fabulous new Blended Bloom stamp for this card. What do you think !?!

I am SO pleased with how this card turned out. And I must admit - I am impressed with my colouring abilities for someone who had no idea how to really use them !! Thats how awesome they are - you can’t make a mistake ! They just layer and layer and make beautiful images !! I used the new Memento Tuxedo Black ink to stamp the image on Whisper White and then used the Rich Razzleberry and Daffodil Delight Blendabilities sets to color the flower. Gorgeous right !! And you might be thinking “Where did she get those awesome yellow and purple gems?” Well I MADE them !! Yes, I coloured my Basic Rhinestones with the Blendabilities and voila - coloured rhinestones !! YAY !!

The other sneaks on this card are the new Hello Honey in color satin ribbon (sooooo yummy), the Moonlight DSP stack, the Something To Say stamp set and matching flower punch from the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack. Love them all !!

Well thats it for me today !! I have a fun day planned with my little family, so I better get to it !! Thanks so ugh for stopping by today and Happy Stamping !!

Best Decision Ever New Recruit Card

Hey Stampers,

I had a new member join my team recently (Hi Donna!!) so I sent her a fun card to celebrate !! It uses the awesome demo only stamp set Best Decision Ever !! I LOVE it so much - a perfect way to say “thanks" or “hi” to a customer or stamping friend !! I used some pieces from the awesome Good As Gold card kit that I earned for free during Saleabration. I love how it turned out - take a peek !!

Isn’t that fun !?! I am so obsessed with GOLD lately !! The Gold Foil Paper along with the Gold Sequins adds such a fun glam touch. I used the Dictionary background stamp for my card base, and the Banners Framelits for my fun banner accents. Fun right ?? Now, take a look at the inside of the card !

This stamp set is so great. Love the SU Logo stamp !! And of course, Happy Stampin’ which I saw ALL the time. Woo hoo !! My own stamp catch phrase !! Hahaha And this color combo of Tangerine Tango, Bermuda Bay, Sahara Sand and Gold is awesome.

Well thats it for me today ! If you would like to join my team, I would love to have you !! Then you can get a fun card like this !! Thanks a lot for coming by and Happy Stamping !!

Morning Post Rose Frame

Hey Stampers,

A couple of months ago I shared with you that my baby daughter Rose had died in January. Today I am showing you a beautiful frame that I decorated for her! There is a little table in my house that we have all of the things that remind us of her on it - the dried roses from her funeral, her little urn of ashes, a few toys, candles and figurines. It is a very special area to me! I was browsing in Wal Mart last week and came across a beautiful frame. If she was still alive, I would have bought it to put her picture in. But where I don’t have any pictures I decided to decorate it for her instead ! And I used a few of my favourite retiring items to do so. Take a look !

Isn’t that just lovely ? I am so happy with the results. I used one of my favourite retiring stamp sets, the Morning Post alphabet, to spell out her hame. Embossed in Gold it is just a beautiful effect. I then layered it onto 2 of my favourite pinks - Rose Red and Blushing Bride. Very soft and vintage. Paired with Very Vanilla is is just stunning. And I used the gorgeous Spiral Flower die to make some 3d (what else) Roses ! I dug out my hot glue gun for them to make sure they stay together for a long time. My background Very Vanilla was embossed with the beautiful Pretty Print folder which goes with the Morning Post just perfectly. I then sponged it with Sahara Sand ink to make the script really pop.

Thank you so much for coming by to see my project today. I hope it was ok that I shared it with you ! Have a wonderful day and Happy Stamping !!

Happy Mothers Day !!

Hey Stampers,

I hope you are enjoying a Happy Mothers Day wherever you are! We went and had out outing yesterday. Out to dinner and a movie with my hid band and my little boy ! It was nice. Today I am sharing with you the cards I made for MY 2 moms - my mom and my mother in law !! First up is my Mother in Law’s card - take a look !!

I used my favourite stamp set from the Occasions Catty for her card - Happy Watercolor. Paired with the retiring Delightful Dozen set and the Gorgeous Grunge set - you can’t go wrong ! I love this color combo of Pool Party, Crisp Cantaloupe and Pistachio Pudding SOOOO much. So soft and lovely !! And you can’t tell from the picture, but I embossed my sentiment with the Pool Party Embossing Powder. And of course, it needed a spot of shimmer - so I used my Encore Silver Metallic ink pad to do the sweet dots stamp from the Happy Watercolor set. So cute !!

And heres a peek at the inside !! Gorgeous or what !?!?!? Up next, my moms card !!

I am loving the way this card turned out too. I used the Simple Stems set (also from the Occasions Catty) and paired it with the gorgeous Fresh Prints DSP Stack. Love the colors !! The Deco Labels framelits are such a fun shape, aren’t they ??

And here is the inside !! I don’t know what Im going to do when that Delightful Dozen set is retired !! Love the sentiments there.

Well thats it for me today !! Going off to enjoy the day with my family, making some cookies with my little boy ! Many hugs for you all !! Happy Stamping !

Spiral Flower Gift Box

Hey Stampers,

There are only a couple weeks left to until the NEW Annual Catty goes live which is AWESOME. But that also means, there are only a couple weeks until the current Annual & Occasions Catties retire. And there are some great items there that we will have to say good bye too !! So if you have some items on your wish list from the Retirement list or the Occasions Catty get them before its too late !!

My cute project today uses the FAB Spiral Flower Originals Die. I am SOOOO in love with it !! Though it is a bit difficult to put them on a card, one that needs to go in the mail at least hahaha. So I decorated one of our Kraft Boxes to give a gift to a friend. I love how it turned out ! Take a look ...

Isn’t that beautiful ? I love the Fresh Prints DSP Stack in the Occasions Catty. I used my fav pattern to decorate the sides of the box. Love that sweet floral !!

I couldn’t decide which color of Ruffled Stretch Trim to use, so I used both the Coastal Cabana and Baked Brown Sugar. So sad that this amazing ribbon is retiring !! But I am sure I will sneak it onto a few projects even after its retired LOL

And heres the view from the top of the box ! I used the Window Frames framelits, one of which was embossed with the retired Pretty Print folder. And the cute sentiment is from the Perfect Pennants stamp set and matching Banners framelits. And of course, my gorgeous Real Red roses !!

Well thats it for me today ! Thanks so much for stopping by, have a great weekend and Happy Stamping !!

Just Because Petite Petals ROCK !

Hey Stampers,

Good morning to you !! Even though it is the 6th of May - I awoke this morning to SNOW !! And a lot of it at that. Seems like ages ago my son was out playing in his sandbox, not just yesterday. Sigh. Heres hoping it disappears very quickly ! My card today is very spring like, so I hope it helps bring back the nice weather ! It uses the awesome Petite Petals stamp set and matching punch that you can get as a bundle in the Occasions catty. Saving 15% is awesome right ?? I paired it with the TOO fabulous Hardwood background stamp. LOVE it so much ! Take a look !!

Isn’t that just GORGEOUS ?!? I stamped the Hardwood background in my White Craft Ink onto the Crumb Cake card base. Love love LOVE how it turned out !! And you may be wondering why my little thumb is in the pic. Its because I used the awesome new Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits to cut out the spot for my sentiment !! Take a look at what it looks like when the card is open ...

So the sentiment is on the inside AND the outside ! And my pretty flowers are all clustered and beautiful aren’t they ?? Love them. And the little Pearl centres add the sweetest touch.

And heres a shot of the inside. The framelit was bordered with the matching shape from the Project Life Point & Click stamp set. And I thought some Naturals White cardstock would be a fun change from Whisper White for the inside. Love how great it looks with Crumb Cake !

Well thats it for me today ! I am so in love with the new Project Life stuff - I can’t wait to start scrapbooking with it ! But its super fun to use on cards too !! Thanks so much for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

Rev Up the Fun Birthday Card

Hey Stampers,

I ams till having lots of fun with the great items on the Retirement Lists. There are some sets that are leaving that saw way too little action! One such set of mine is the fab Rev Up the Fun set. I am SO smitten with the awesome car and motorcycle images. Perfect for boys of all ages I think ! I saw a great card using the set and the I Am Me DSP on Pinterest made by the awesome Mary Brown. I loved the way she used the squares with the motorcycles in them, and knew I needed to create a version !! Mine turned out much differently though … take a peek !

I love the fun I Am Me DSP and the color combo of Calypso Coral, Real Red, Pool Party & Basic Gray. I am also going to REALLY miss the 1/4” Stitched Grosgrain Ribbons. But the new catty has lots of fun new ribbons, I promise !! And of course, I needed to use the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set. I am so addicted to it LOL. Thank the SU Gods that is still in the new catty !!

Well that is all for me today. Hope you all have a great weekend and can find some time to create something beautiful !! Inky hugs to all and Happy Stamping !!

CCC #031: Starlight, Starbright

Hey Stampers,

Happy May !! It is a VERY happy day for me - and all Stampin’ Up! demos - because the new 2014-2015 Annual Catalogue is available online today for demonstrators !! YAY !! And also, our preorder. So I placed my order at 6am this morning for some brand new stuff !! LOL Yippee Skippee !!!

Also, being the first of the month, its time for a challenge over on Catherine and Cathy Create ! Our theme for May is Starlight, Starbright - so breakout your fun star items and make a project and go over and share them with us !! The samples our design team have made are UNBELIEVABLE !! Here is my example:

I am so pleased with this card. How I will miss the Simply Stars set !! Its hard to tell from a picture, but the little stars banner is free floating. I attached the stars by their tips with some Mono Multi Liquid Glue onto the fab Gold Bakers Twine. When it had dried, I just attached it to my layer. So when you pick the card up, the stars all move. Its such a cool effect ! I love the Yippee-Skippee! stamp set, and am well aware my sentiment is a bit squish. But I don’t care ! Hahaha Adds to the home-made look, right ?

Well thats it for me today !! Gone to drool over the new catty again. Please drop over to the CCC Blog to play along for a chance to win the So Very Grateful stamp set  !! Thanks so much for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!
