Make A Wish Gift Card Holder

Hey Stampers,

So, I had my August Stamp Club on Tuesday night, and we all had a lot of fun !! One of the projects I made was this SUPER CUTE gift card holder - using an envelope !! Its SO easy to make, and it would be really easy to make for lots of different occasions (I'm thinking a fabulous Christmas project). Take a look at this cool project !!

Here is a picture of the outside. Looks pretty cute right !? I decorated it using the I Am Me DSP and the Make A Wish stamp set. I love the Chalk Talk framelits as well, isn't that shape super adorable ?? I didint have a larger layer for it, so I traced the outside of the framelit onto a piece of Basic Gray cardstock and just cut it out with my Paper Snips ! Instant layer !!

And here's the inside. All you need to do it fold your envelope in half, and cut off one side of the flap to make your "pocket". Isn't that EASY !?! I love it. The cute sentiment in here is from the Occasions Alphabet set - such a versatile set ! There is a sentiment in there for every occasion imaginable ! I love it.

Well, thats it for me today ! Thanks so much for visiting today. Have a great day and Happy Stamping !!

CCC Christmas Year Round: Oh Christmas Tree

Hey Stampers,

So ... no you're eyes do NOT deceive you !! This is a BLOG POST from ME !! I know I have been MAJORLY MIA lately, but I found out just before I went to Convention that I am pregnant with #2 ! I have been soooooo tired and lazy that I haven't had the energy to do much of anything, so stamping went wayyyyy down on the priority list. But I am hoping to start up again soon ! Probably not with the same "every day" consistency that I was used to, but there will be something LOL.

SO today is the first ever Christmas Year Round post over at Catherine and Cathy Create !! I LOVE Christmas (I may or may not have already started listening to my holiday tunes) and I am so happy to have a little head start on my Christmas Cards ! The theme for August is "Oh Christmas Tree" and since it was the first card I have made in a long time, I decided to keep it nice and simple, but still nice ! Take a look at what I came up with !!

Ian't that cute !?! And it would be super easy to mass produce. I hope you can tell from the picture, but my stamped tree (from the essential Lovely as a Tree set) and sentiment (from the Greetings of the Season set) were stamped and then embossed with the gorgeous Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder ! Aren't they just sparkly and gorgeous !?! its super easy to do too. Just ink up your stamp in Versamark, then stamp it on your Classic Ink pad, and then you have COLORED Versamark !! Then you can emboss with either the Clear or Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder for a FAB look !! LOVE it !!

After my Heat Embossing i also Dry Embossed my main layer using the Northern Flurry folder. Love those snowflakes going up the side of the card !! Very wintery and beautiful. And of course, to add to the sparkle, I used some Basic Rhinestones and the new 1/8" Silver Ribbon. So shimmery and beautiful, right !?!

Well thats it for me today !! Check over on the CCC blog to see what my fellow Christmas Team friend, Justin Krieger, created for this challenge !! Thanks so much for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

OK so on to my project !!

Now, I am not really in that Back to School mode. My son is almost 3, so its a few years before I have to deal with that (that God hahaha). But I had a lot of fun coming up with a fun School Themed project ! I didn't have any school-ish stamp sets, so I did one of my FAV things !! Punch Art !! Take a look at the cute apple card I came up with !!

Isn't that sweet !?! And it was SO easy to create !! I used one of the circles from the Circles Collection Framelits to cut out my Real Red apple. Then the top of the Full Heart Punch gave me the "bumps" on the bottom, and the 1-1/4" Circle Punch clipped out a part from the top !! I used my Paper Snips to round the corners, and that was it !! SO easy right ! I then wanted it to look a bit more "realistic" so I sponged the apple with some Gumball Green ink so that it had that "red with a green tinge"that so many apples have. Love it ! I used my 1/4" Circle Punch to create my leaf as well. Love how the fun apple turned out !!

I was SUPER excited to use my new Alphabet Press embossing folder for the first time on this card !! I mean, whats more school than that ?! I also used some fun vintage products - my much loved (aka will never leave my stamp room in a MILLION years) Family Reunion set for the "for my teacher" stamps and the fun Spiral Border Punch for that stamped piece. Cute right !?! Love how this card turned out ! Now, I just need to hold onto it for a little while until Jack has a teacher to give it to !! LOL

Well thats is for me today !! Next on our stop is Tiz !! I can't wait to see what she's come up with !! Thanks a lot for coming by the Hop today !! Have a good one and Happy Stamping !!

CCC #005: August Cool Cards - In the Garden

Hey Stampers,

Good day to you !! I am so excited to share today's card with you - it is another Card Challenge over at Catherine and Cathy Create !! The theme for August is "In The Garden" ! So break out those flowers, butterflies and birds and come and play along !! The card I made uses the Stippled Blossoms stamp set, and I made it into a birthday card ! I gave it to my Grandmother for her birthday yesterday and she loved it !! I love it too - take a look and tell me what you think !!

Isn't that lovely !?! I just adore the images from this set - I have no idea why I don't use it more often !! The colors I used for the flowers are Blushing Bride and Primrose Petals, and the leaves are Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive. Love the two step stamping - such a professional look !! It may be a bit difficult to see in the picture, but my Whisper White layer was stamped very lightly with the En Francais background stamp with Crumb Cake ink. A nice subtle background ! It also looks like I can't stop using the great sentiments from the Simply Sketched hostess set either. LOL And isn't that texture just AWESOME !?! My card base was embossed with the awesome Beautifully Baroque embossing folder - love that one !

Well thats it for me today !! And remember, we would just LOVE it if you would drop over to Catherine and Cathy Create and play along with our fun August Card Challenge !! Under the Sea Fish Card

Hey Stampers,

Happy Weekend !! I am pretty excited for today, it's my little nephew's First Birthday Party !! Yes, my sweet little boy is 1 !! I am just hoping that the weather clears up. They have planned a "Beach Party" (well, at their house - not an actual beach) and it's raining here right now ! So fingers crossed that it clears up for this afternoon ! So knowing that they had a beach theme for the party, I was scouring my stamp sets for some fun kid style sets to match ! And I had NOTHING ! I mean, By the Tide is not exactly kid friendly right ?? Hahaha SO I decided to break out my vintage Ornament Punch and make some fun Punch Art Fishes !! They turned out SOO adorable, I just love them !! Take a look !!

Isn't that SO sweet !?! It does use a couple vintage items, but if you dont have them I am sure you can substitute other punches ! First to make that fun design on the fishes, I used the awesome chevron oval image from the Oh Hello stamp set. Then I punched out an Ornament, and added some of the smallest petals from the (also Vintage) Blossom Petals Punch. A couple circles from the Owl Punch made the eyes, and thats it !! LOVE it !! And this color combo of Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, Pool Party and Wild Wasabi just looks like "under the sea" to me.

My Pool Party layer was stamped with Wild Wasabi ink and the seaweed/coral image from By The Tide. The little sentiment is from the Banner Greetings hostess stamp set - LOVE that fun set !! But I must say, my favourite part of this whole card are the Pearl "bubbles" coming from the fishes mouths !! LOVE it !! I hope Quinton (and his mommy Lin) like it too !!

Thats all for me today !! I need to try and clean up mu house a bit (yikes) before Jackson and I go to the birthday party. Hope you have a wonderful Saturday everyone !! Thanks a lot for stopping by and Happy Stamping !

CCC #004: Here Comes the Bride !

Hey Stampers !!

Well, welcome to August !! And with the start of a new month - that means new challenges over on Catherine and Cathy Create !! Our monthly challenge over there this month is Here Comes the bride !! So, anything with a wedding theme can be entered !! I decided to make a wedding card, you know me - when in doubt, make a card !! But you should see some of the other fab projects the Design Team came up with !! So awesome - check it out !! But now, onto my card !!

I know, I know ... this is SO not a traditional wedding card !! But I'm gonna let you in on a secret - I don't have ANY wedding stamp sets !! Can you believe it !?! I have a few sentiments found in other sets, but no real wedding images. SO I have to get creative when I made a wedding card !! I knew I wanted to use the awesome "mr and mrs" stamp from the new Label Love set for my sentiment, and then I decided that I would use the GORGEOUS flower from Regarding Dahlias for my focal point !! How FAB is this flower - especially heat embossed with Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder !?! My color combo is pretty simple: Whisper White, Silver and small touches of Blushing Bride. I mean, with a theme of Here Comes the Bride - Blushing Bride is a MUST right !?! LOL I love how well the Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder matches the stunning Brushed Silver cardstock, don't you ?? Just softly shimmery instead of bold glitter. Very soft and lovely ! For some more color, I sponged some of the Blushing Bride into my embossed flower - love that look ! And for a touch of added sparkle, a Vintage Faceted Button with a Large Rhinestone added just the right bit of bling !!

Well thats it for me today !! Thanks so much for coming by. And please make a fun Wedding Themed Project and post it over on Catherine and Cathy Create !! We would love for you to play along with us !! Thanks a lot for dropping by and Happy Stamping !!
