Angry Birds Birthday

Hey Stampers,

Good Wednesday to you !! Well, being summertime that is birthday season for us !! Jackson has 2 birthday parties just this weekend !! The first one, on Friday evening, is for his little friend Ethan. His birthday party theme is Angry Birds so I knew I HAD to make a Punch Art Angry Birds card !! I had seen so many of these around, and I thought they were SO adorable !! So I searched around and found a few tutorials on how it should look (nobody in my house plays the game, so I'm not exactly sure what they even look like). I love the bold, fun colors of this card too !! I decided to make the red bird and thought that Real Red and Crushed Curry were the perfect match !! Take a look at this fun card, perfect for the gamer in your life !!

Isn't that awesome !?! I used my Circle Collection Framelits to cut out the large red circle, the 3rd largest one measuring 3-3/8". I then took my 2-1/2" Circle Punch and a scrap of Crumb Cake to make his belly. 2 squares measuring 1-3/8" and 1-1/4" of the Crushed Curry (I cut them in half to make triangles) created his beak. 2 1-3/8" Circles of Whisper White made his eye balls, with the 1/2" Circle Punch in Basic Black making the pupils. 2 Basic Black Modern Label punches are his eyebrows. And that little feather on his head ?? Its one of the petals from the new Pansy Punch !! Cute right !?! I also sponged the Real Red, Crushed Curry and Crumb Cake pieces (in their matching inks) for some added dimension before I assembled.

My background is a piece of Whisper White that I embossed with the Chevron embossing folder using my Big Shot. The fun greeting is from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set. I stamped it in Jet Black StazOn  onto a scrap of Whisper White and then die cut it out using the matching Bitty Banners Framelits. All of this was put onto a Crushed Curry card base. Love these bright colors !!

Well thats it for me today !! Make sure you check back tomorrow - we are starting a new month and that means new challenges at Catherine and Cathy Create !! So that means you have the rest of the day to join in on our July challenges if you haven't already as well !! Take a look over there are see whats happening !! Thanks so much for stopping by today and Happy Stamping !!

Hexagon Overload !!

Hey Stampers,

How is everyone today !?! I am doing pretty good. I had a HUGE nap last night, so I feel nice and rested !! I fell asleep in my sons bed after reading him a bedtime store (at around 8:30), woke up at 10 just long enough to make it to my OWN bed and slept until 6:45 this morning !! WOW !! Thats a lot of sleep ... hahahahaha. I was planning to go down to my craft room and get some stamping done, but I guess that wasn't happening !! LOL The cute card I am showing you today features a FUN little shape - the Hexagon !! I used the new Six Sided Sampler stamp set, the matching Hexagon Punch and the Honeycomb embossing folder !! Lots of fun hexagons ... hahahaha. Take a look at this sweet card !!

Isn't that adorable !?! Loving this color combo of Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo and Pear Pizzazz !! I pulled the colors from the Gingham Garden DSP, even though no DSP actually made it onto this card. And the Hexagon Punch makes popping out this great images a snap ! The little greeting also comes from the stamp set, and I die cut it out using the Bitty Banners Framelits. I punched a 3/4" Circle out of the centre of the hexagon outline, and the banner fit in it perfectly !! Love it !! And those new Designer Buttons have some great tiny embellishments, right ? I used the tiniest Melon Mambo one on my banner - so sweet !!

Well, thats it for me today !! Hope you enjoyed my card - thanks so much for coming by and Happy Stamping !!

By the Tide Birthday

Hey Stampers,

Good Monday to you !! I am shocked that July is almost over, aren't you !?! This month totally just flew by !! August is only a few days away, meaning that SUMMER has only a few weeks left !! I know, that sounds pretty mellow dramatic - but its true !! My hubby is lucky enough to have this week off (and I am working ... even luckier again for him, right ?? Hahaha) so he is planning on doing a lot of fishing - yummy yummy for fresh cod in our freezer this winter !! So, in "celebration" of fishing season, I broke out the awesome By The Tide stamp set ! I love this set, its totally fabulous. And this awesome color combo of Raspberry Ripple, Midnight Muse and Sahara Sand is SO nautical - I love it !! I did use a touch of retired DSP as well. This pattern from the Print Poetry DSP Stack was to perfect not to use !! Take a look at this fun nautical card !!

Isn't that awesome !?! First, I took a piece of Whisper White and stamped my images. That coral piece is BY FAR my fav in this set !! And it looks great in Sahara Sand ink. I then just tore around the images for a nice distressed look and sponged my tears with Sahara Sand ink. I also stamped the beautiful sea shell (also in Sahara Sand) onto a scrap of Whisper White and fussy cut it out with my Paper Snips. The skinny strip of DSP was also torn and sponged. My background layers were stamped as well. The Raspberry Ripple layer was stamped with the coral image all around the edges also in Raspberry Ripple ink. The main Sahara Sand layer (measuring 3-3/4" x 5" was stamped with the script image (also from this awesome stamp set) ion Sahara Sand ink for a fun addition of texture. Love that scripty stamp !! After adhering most of my pieces, I felt it needed a little something extra. So a few strands of Linen Thread and an Antique brad really finishes off this great masculine card !! Love how that style of Antique Brad looks like a compass !! Awesome !!

And here's a quick view of the inside. There was so much going on on the front, that there was no room for a sentiment. So I added this beautiful Happy Birthday from the Perfectly Penned stamp set, also with another coral image and fish !! So nice !!

Well, thats it for me today !! I have some fun new projects to show you (including the Make and Takes from Convention) so make sure you come back soon !! Thanks so much for stopping by today and Happy Stamping !!

Perfect Blend Convention Card

Hey Stampers,

So, were you aware that Stampin' Up! is now in the Guinness Book of World Records !?! When we were at Convention, we took part in the "Most Handmade Cards Sent From One Location" event !! So, lots of demonstrators brought cards from home, all addressed to a friend at home and sent them from Convention !! And now SU is in the Guinness Book !! Cool, right !?! I actually ended up making my card for it while I was hanging out at Cathy's house (and helping her finish her swaps) the day before we left. Its not the greatest picture, I took it in a real hurry, but the card was SO cute that I still had to share it !! It uses the Perfect Blend stamp set and Epic Day DSP. I don't drink coffee myself, but I still LOVE this cute stamp set !! I think this simple card turned out great - what do you think !?!

Isn't that sweet !?! I ended up having to stamp the coffee cup 3 times - once on my Epic Day polka dotted DSP, once on Pool Party and once on Very Vanilla. I then cut out my pieces and pieced them together. Love the fun look !! And then I added a fun Cherry Cobbler heart using the Small Heart punch and a Dimensional. My card base is a piece of Crumb Cake and I embossed the bottom half of the front with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. I then added a strip of that awesome DSP again and then some of the Crumb Cake washi tape from the Epic Day pack - I am becoming SO addicted to washi lately !! Love it !! Before adding my coffee cut with some Dimensionals, I added a piece of Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine for another pop of that red color. I stamped my sentiment onto a scrap of Very Vanilla and punched it out with the new Artisan Label Punch. I thought I needed another little punch of color, so I added a Pool Party Artisan Label (embossed with the Polka Dots again) and that finished off this cute and simple card !! I hope the recipient (a SU Team Canada member that couldn't make it to Convention) likes it too !!

Well thats it for me today !! Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend and Happy Stamping !!

Epic Day Congratulations

Hey Stampers,

Well, did you worry that I was NEVER coming back !?! LOL I worried about it haha. That trip to Convention REALLY kicked my butt. I am still exhausted and just not in the mood to do anything buy sweat to death (it is SUPER humid and hot here) and lie around. LOL But, I need to get back into the swing of things, right !?! I had an amazing time at Convention !! I totally am so glad that I went. One of the most exciting parts when when my Stampin' Sista Cathy Caines won a spot on the Artisan Design Team !! Super SUPER exciting !! I actually made this card for her before we even went, but I knew she was gonna make it !! I made it a "Cathy Style" card. Lots of white space and splatters. LOL In love hoe it turned out !! What do you think !?!

Isn't that fun !?! I took a strip of Whisper White and wrapped some of the fun Basic Gray striped Washi Tape from the Epic Day Suite around it, and then used my Hearts Collection Framelits to pop out a fun heart ! So easy. And of course, I broke put my Aqua Painter to make some fun Basic Gray and Cherry Cobbler splatters on my Whisper White layer. A couple fun Candy Dots and punched out hearts completed the fun look !! And my congratulations is from the SUPER versatile Delightful Dozen stamp set. A complete must have !! If you are trying to figure out where that gray bakers Twine is from, you are not losing it !! It is non SU, the color Stone from The Twinery. It was just to perfect not to use on this card !!

And here's a fun shot of the inside !! I colored the fun sentiment from the Really Good Greetings set with my Basic Gray and Cherry Cobbler markers and stamped it on a scrap of Whisper White. I then die cut it using one of the Chalk Talk Framelits, and tied some more twine through the tag. The cut out heart from the front of the card was too adorable not to use, so I tucked it behind my greeting piece for another fun element !! Cathy TOTALLY loved the card (and I do too) !!

Thanks so much for dropping by today !! Sorry I was gone for soooooo very loooooong but I am back now and expect lots of fun new stuff in the days to come !! Hope you have a wonderful Friday and Happy Stamping !!

Flower Shop Convention Swap

Hey Stampers,

Happy MOnday !! Well, the day is FINALLY here !! Today, I leave for Convention. Technically I don't fly out until tomorrow, but today I am driving into St John's and staying at my moms tonight for my flight out early tomorrow morning ! It seems surreal - I have been counting down to this day for months and here it is !! So, I have some final things to add to my suitcase and then I leave around lunch time. Don't worry though, I am totally taking my laptop and will keep you up to date on lots of fun Convention Happenings !! The card I am showing you today is my other Convention Swap !! If you remember, my other one I shared with you right here. This one is a bit more involved than the other one, but I LOVE it !! It uses the awesome Flower Shop stamp set and matching Pansy Punch along with the Daydream Jumbo Wheel and the Circles Collection Framelits. I used this fabulous layout on an earlier card you can see right here and I loved it so much I used it again ! Take a look at this fun card !!

Isn't that just lovely !?! And I love this color combo of Wisteria Wonder, So Saffron and Coastal Cabana. First, I took my So Saffron layer (measuring 4" x 5-1/4") and stamped across the middle in So Saffron ink with my Daydream Stampin' Around Jumbo Wheel. I must admit, I don't really use wheels very often but I might try them more !! Love this fabulous look !! I then used my Circle Collection Framelits to cut out a circle to the right hand side. I used the 2-3/4" circle (#5 if you're counting from largest to smallest) to cut out my layer, and then used the 2-3/8" Circle (#6) to cut out a piece of Wisteria Wonder to layer inside of it. Love that extra layer of color ! A piece of the beautiful 3/8" Coastal Cabana Ruffle Stretch Trim was added to the layer. That ruffle is just to sweet !! I embossed a square of Very Vanilla with the Fancy Fan embossing folder and added it behind my circle window with some Dimensionals. This was then added to my Wisteria Wonder card base.

My sentiment is from the Simply Sketched hostess set. I stamped it in So Saffron ink onto some Very Vanilla scrap and punched it out with my Scallop Oval Punch. I added it to my card using some Dimensionals. I stamped one of the beautiful images from the Flower Shop stamp set in Coastal Cabana ink onto Coastal Cabana card stock. I punched it out with the matching Pansy Punch and used my Bone Folder to curl up the edges. I adhered it to the middle of my embossed piece with a Dimensional and added some Dazzling Details to the centre for a bit of nice sparkle! I bet you are wondering where that cute butterfly came from !?! Its another flower from the Flower Shop set ! I stamped it in Wisteria Wonder ink onto some Very Vanilla, and after punching it out I trimmed it down to 2 petals that look like butterfly wings !! Isn't that CUTE !?! I added it to my card using a Dimensional, and then took a strip of 3 Pearls for my butterfly body. LOVE IT !!

Well thats it for me today !! I am pretty prepared for Convention, but of course there is still lots to do before I leave my house !! Like, try to say goodbye to my little boy. I sure will miss him while I am gone for 8 days !! Thanks so much for dropping by today !! Have an awesome day and Happy Stamping !!

My Convention Bag Tags !!

Hey Stampers,

Happy Saturday to you !! I am getting everything ready to pack, because on MONDAY I leave for Convention !! I am one of the lucky demos who have my swaps all finished, so I had some fun last night making some tags for mine and Cathy's convention bags !! Every demo (almost 6000 of us !!) will get some sort of fun purse for Convention - thats a LOT of the same bag !! So people will lots of times make some cute ID tags for them, so you can tell them apart from everyone else's !! I made two last night, one each for me and my roomie Cathy. And of course, where we are BOTH C initials, they couldn't really be the same. So I made hers with her fav color Bermuda Bay and mine with Strawberry Slush ! I am really tickled with how cute they turned out - take a look !!

Love them !!! I used the second largest flower shape from the Floral Frames Framelits for the base piece. Then the circle framelits cut out the 2 circles - one in Whisper White and the second in our "secondary" colors - Pink Pirouette and Coastal Cabana. I stamped these inner circles with the awesome Dictionary background stamp, in Strawberry Slush and Bermuda Bay. Love that 2 tone stamping !! I cut the cute C's using some Basic Black cardstock and the Typeset Alphabet Bigz Dies. I popped the initial up on some Dimensionals, love how that pop of black looks !! My little banner is stamped using the Remember This and That Rotary Stamp in Jet Black Stazon, and I adhered it to my tag using a Silver Glimmer Brad. This being the 25th Anniversary of SU, I had to use some pops of Silver ! I used the Silver Glimmer Paper to punch out an Elegant Butterfly, and then layered a stamped butterfly from Papillon Potpourri on top. I stamped it with more StazOn onto a bit of Vellum so it would show through !! Love that look !! A dot of Basic Black from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack Circle gives some extra stability to my 1/8" Basic Black Taffeta Ribbon, and I have some little silver clasps to add to this so they can clip onto our bags too ! Love it !! Here are some close ups of the tags:

Love this gorgeous color combo of Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, Whisper White, Basic Black and Silver !! Really makes a statement !!

Here is a sort of side view, so you can see all the dimension that the Elegant Butterfly punches add. Isn't that Silver Glimmer one gorgeous !?!

Thats is for me today !! I hope you likes my fun tags. I can't wait to get a fun purse and clip it on !! If you are needing some fun inspiration today, why don't you run over to the Catherine and Cathy Create blog and join in on a challenge !! There are some beautiful design over there to look at, and then join in on the fun !! Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

New York State of Mind

Hey Stampers,

Happy Friday !! Any plans for the weekend !?! We are sticking close to home ( have to work tomorrow) but will be super busy on Sunday packing for Utah !! I can't believe Convention is so close - I leave here on Monday !! Crazy. I am so excited for a vacation too !! I am pretty lucky in the holiday department, we travel quite a bit ... but its always exciting to go to a place you have never been before ! And I have never been to the western part of the USA before, so thats so cool !! The card I am sharing with you today is also in the "travel" theme. My best friend Justin is in NYC right now ! We are HUGE fans of the Big Apple, and we always help each other plan things we are going to do there whenever we get to go ! So, I made him a fun card using the awesome Soho Subway DSP to celebrate his Manhattan trip !! I paired it with the Really Good Greetings stamp set, and also the vintage Extreme Elements set. I am SO excited to get the Gorgeous Grunge set when I go to Convention, but until then this older set is really fitting the bill !! take a look at what I came up with !!

Is that fun and funky or what !?! First, I took the DSP pattern with all the words on it and cut out some of the ones I wanted to use. I then roughed up the edges with the Stampin' Distress Tool and sponged them with some Early Espresso ink. It was at about this point that I realized I needed a bigger than normal card, so my overall card measured 5-3/4" square. I then added a distressed and sponged layer of Summer Starfruit measuing 5-1/2" square. My DSP layer is also from Soho Subway - love this grid pattern !! I stamped the edges with the splatter image from Extreme Elements in Summer Starfruit ink, and added some of the dots to the top corner in Island Indigo. I thought th "and it's all really good" sentiment was really cute with this card !! Its saying "all the places you visit in NYC are all really good" or something. Clever ! So I added that with Early Espresso ink. All my location pieces were then added with Dimensionals, and that was it !! A pretty easy card really, just lots of cutting, distressing and sponging. But I totally love the effect !!

Well, thats it for me today !! I hope you like todays card !! And don't forget, we would love to see you over on Catherine and Cathy Create - why don't you enter one of our fun challenges !?! Hope you have a wonderful weekend !! Thanks for coming by and Happy Stamping !!

CCC #003 - Cool Cards Thursday - Buttons & Bows !!

Hey Stampers,

Welcome to the first ever Cool Cards Thursday !! Ever second thursday, we will be having a fun Card Challenge over on Catherine and Cathy Create !! My theme for this week is Buttons and Bows - so any  card using buttons and ribbon !! Pretty easy right !?! Why don't you play along with us !!

My card today uses some of my fav new products - the new Designer Buttons (love these new patterns this year!!) and the Ruffled Stretch Trim ! This ribbon is SO fabulous - I love it ! I paired it with some punched flowers, embossing folders and the Really Good Greetings stamp set - this came together so quickly !! Take a look !!

Isn't that adorable !?! I am loving it. My first step were those fun flowers !! I love how well the Blossom Punch and the new Pansy Punch layer together - isn't that the cutest flower !?! I used some "Dynamic Duos" for my 2 tone flowers: Coastal Cabana with Soft Sky, Daffodil Delight with So Saffron, Strawberry Slush with Pink Pirouette and Calypso Coral with Crisp Cantaloupe. I embossed the Blossom Punches with the Square Lattice folder and the Pansy Punches with the Perfect Polka Dots folder. They were all sponged with their matching ink colors, and layered together with Dimensionals.  I then added a striped Subtles Designer Button to the middle of each one - cute right !?

My card ended up being a 6" square (so I could fit on all my flowers) so I used lots of layers to dress it up. I stamped my sentiment using my Strawberry Slush and Coastal Cabana markers, and decorated all around it with some Subtles Candy Dots and Rhinestones. I also used 2 pieces of the Ruffle Stretch Trim (also Strawberry Slush and Coastal Cabana) for the fun layered look. So beautiful !!

Well thats my card for today !! Wouldn't you love to come and join us on Catherine and Cathy Create !?! All you need is to make a card using Ribbon and Buttons - what could be easier !! So click the link here to post your project !! Thanks so much for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

Beautifully Vintage Card

Hey Stampers,

Well, the day is here !! Stamp Club Day !! Its seriously my favourite day of the month LOL The cure card I am showing you today is one my girls will be making tonight !! I apologize in advance, for some reason I can NOT get this card to photograph well !! The Sahara Sand card base looks so BLAH here, but in real life it looks better - I promise !! I semi caed this layout and idea from Kristen Kortonick over at Stampin' and Scrapin' with Kristen. I just love the effect of the 2 stamps layered over each other - don't you ?? And this color combo of Sahara Sand, Pistachio Pudding and Smoky Slate is so soft and delicate - just lovely !! Take a look !!

Isn't that so delicate and beautiful !?! I took a piece of Very Vanilla and stamped the Dictionary background (so in love with that stamp!) onto it in Smoky Slate, and then tore the top and the bottom for an "old book" type look. I then stamped the Beautifully Baroque image right on top in Pistachio Pudding ink. I cut a very thin strip of the Pistachio Pudding DSP (I think it's about 3/8") and layered it onto the stamped piece. I took another thin strip, this time in Very Vanilla, and stamped my sentiment on it in Dsahara Sand ink. The phrases in the Express Yourself hostess set are SO awesome, and any number of them would work perfectly for this card !! I took a little piece of the 3/8" Pistachio Pudding Ruffle Stretch Trim and adhered it to the back, made a banner end on the cardstock and adhered it to my card using Dimensionals. I tied some Linen Thread through one of the beautiful Very Vintage Designer Buttons, and added it to the piece with a Glue Dot. Lastly, a Large Pearl - and that was it !! I adhered the embellished layer to a Sahara Sand card base and it was all finished ! So easy, but so impressive !! Love it. And it would be a gorgeous card to duplicate in any number of colors !!

Well, thats it for me today !! Thanks so much for dropping by - have a wonderful day and Happy Stamping !!

Hey Stampers,

Good day to ya !! Its another beautiful day here in Newfoundland, hardly makes me want to leave next week for Convention !! HAHAHAHA Just kidding, I can't wait !! Today's project is for another fun challenge over at Catherine and Cathy Create !! It's out first Tags Challenge and the theme for this one is Let's Part-ay !! Cathy is the leader for this team, and it was her little girls' 3rd birthday this week - so she was in total party mode ! So thats the inspiration for our challenge today !! Now, a tag is a VERY fun thing to create !! And it can be any type of tag !! A single gift tag, a tag ON a gift or even a tag on a card !! Why don't you hop on over to the blog right here and play along with us !! And now, onto my entry into the challenge !!

CUTE right !?! I am SO loving the awesome Tag A Bag Bundle in the catalogue !! The Tag A BAG comes with these fun Chevron paper bags, and a bunch of tags, mini clothes pins, sticker strips, 3 new colors of bakers twine, and even some Dimensionals !! All you need for a party right there ! There are also cool Tag A Box kits that are on my wish list - love em !! So easy and fun to create and give for lots of fun occasions !! I decided to pair my tag kit with the Butterfly Punches (both Elegant and Bitty), the Chevron embossing folder and the Remembering Your Birthday stamp sets for a fun look ! And those mini clothes pins are SO sweet !! I just clipped the tag onto the bag with it, so it is super easy to get into the bag (and the treats inside).

Well thats my fun project for today !! Why don't you make a fun party themed tag and join us over on Catherine and Cathy Create ?? Hope to see you there !! Have a great day and Happy Stamping !!

Dahlia & Dictionary Card

Hey Stampers !!

How is everyone's Monday going so far ?? I have the morning off to bring my son to an appointment out of town, so thats nice ! A little extension on the weekend. LOL I had some time to play with some more new stuff this weekend, so the card I am showing you today uses 2 new stamp sets ! Two favs I might add ... Regarding Dahlias and the Dictionary background stamp. I semi cased this fun tag idea from the Annual Catty, and they are so easy to make !! Just a rectangle of cardstock with the corners clipped off - couldn't be easier !! Take a look at what I came up with !!

Isn't that so fun !?! First I made my tag. I used a rectangle of Whisper White, and cut off the corners. I stamped the AMAZING dahlia image onto it in Melon Mambo ink, and added the "hello you" greeting (also from the Regarding Dahlias set) in Basic Gray ink. a 1/2" Circle of Basic Gray at the top makes this really look like a tag, and I added a small piece of the 1/8" Old Olive Taffeta Ribbon through it. A Large Rhinestone finishes off this main element of the card.

My background piece is some Smoky Slate stamped with the Dictionary stamp in Basic Gray ink. I wanted to add some more fun pink, so some strips of Melon Mambo stamped with the dahlia image was added to either side. I adhered this down to my Whisper White card case. It still wasn't quite enough for me, so a banner of the Old Olive paper from the Polka Dot Parade DSP was the perfect finishing touch !! Love that large circle pattern. I added it to my card base horizontally, and then added my tag on top with some Dimensionals !! So loving this card !!

Well thats it for me today !! Don't forget to come back tomorrow, when I will be showing off another Challenge Sample for Catherine and Cathy Create !! Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

Flower Garden Note Card

Hey Stampers !!

Happy Sunday ! It has been a pretty busy weekend around here,  my mother is out to visit and we have been doing lots of things with Jackson. And yesterday I had a full day of beauty - my hair dyed and cut and a pedicure !! Getting ready to go to Convention sure is HARD work !! Hahahahaha Today I need to try and get some stamping work done, as I have my July Stamp Club on Wednesday night ! So make sure you come back all week, I will be showing you all my fun projects for that ! My cute card today is a little note card that I dropped into a friends "just because" gift a little while ago. I think its so cute - take a look !!

Isn't that adorable ! I used my fav bundle from the new Catalogue again - the Flower Shop stamp set and the matching Pansy Punch. I stamped my flower in some Melon Mambo ink onto Whisper White and then punched it out. I used my Bone Folder to curl up the petals, and added a Crushed Curry button to the middle. There are no Daffodil Delight buttons in the Brights anymore, but the Regals Crushed Curry still worked well !! I tied a cute bow in it with the White Bakers Twine and adhered it to the middle of my flower with a Glue Dot.

My embossed layer is a piece of 2-3/4" square Whisper White that I ran thought my Big Shot with the Modern Mosaic embossing folder. I added a few strips of the Gingham Garden Washi Tape to it, and then my flower over the top with a Dimensional. My sentiment is from the essential set Teeny Tiny Wishes. It was stamped with Island Indigo ink and punched out with the Word Window Punch. I layered a Pear Pizzazz Modern Label punch behind it, adhered it to my card, and trimmed off the excess. A couple of Rhinestones added some nice sparkle. I then layered it onto a 3" square card base using some Dimensionals.

Here is a shot of the inside of the card! I took another 2-3/4" square of Whisper White, and did a bit of stamping. I stamped the fun sketchy flower in 2 corners with Daffodil Delight ink and then added another cute greeting with Island Indigo ink ! Very cute and simple. Love it !!

Well, thats my fun card for today. A perfect card to give to a friend with a lovely note, don't you think ?? And please don't forget to drop over to Catherine and Cathy Create today ! One of our awesome Design Team members, Megin Gallagher, has written a post about one of her favourite products - to see what it is, come over and check it out !! Hope you have a lovely day and Happy Stamping !!

CCC #001 Color Challenge Inspiration !!

Hey Stampers,

Happy Friday !! I am SO excited for todays post !! It's the first EVER Color Challenge for my new blog Catherine and Cathy Create !! Our July Challenge is a sweet Color Combo, here is the inspiration:

I chose this fun combo, and I interpret the colors as Coastal Cabana, Raspberry Ripple and Basic Black. A combo that I would NEVER think to use on my own, but I really love it !! I actually ended up making 2 cards for this challenge, and of course couldnt decide which one to use - so you get a 2 for 1 deal here today !! Hahaha. Here is card #1 !!

Isn't that CUTE !?! I so love the Floral Fusion Sizzlets Die. I used it to cut out 3 flowers in the Coastal Cabana, and then sponged all the edges with Coastal Cabana ink. I folded up the petals, and adhered the layers together with Dimensionals. The smallest flower also get a Black Glimmer Brad - so glamorous ! I punched out 3 branches from the Bird Punch to layer behind them. That awesome sentiment piece is from the new Hostess set called Express yourself - 12 awesome greetings that are a total must have ! I love all the punches that I layered it with as well. Really makes it pop !!

Now on to Card #2 !!

Isn't that COOL ?! I am so loving the new trendy Polaroid shape ! I just took a rectangular piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock, and used one of the Squares Framelits to cut out the window !! So easy ! I layered a square of Whisper White behind it using Dimensionals. On my square, I stamped the fun layer cake from the Make A Cake stamp set with some Jet Black StazOn and used my Blender Pen to color the bottom layer with Coastal Cabana ink. That tiny bit of Paper Piecing on the middle layer uses a scrap of DSP from the Birthday Basics paper pack. This cake is really easy to paper piece - such easy layers to cut out and layer ! Its hard to tell on the photo, but the top layer of my cake is covered with Dazzling Details - lots of fun sparkle ! I layered my polaroid onto a splattered background of Whisper White. I made the splatters using my Aqua Painter and Ink Refills. Loving the Raspberry Ripple and Coastal Cabana together here ! And those punches of black really makes it pop !!

Well, thats it for me today !! Why don't you join us over on Catherine and Cathy Create for our July Color Combo Challenge CCC #001 !! Since it's our fIRST EVER challenge, we have a fun prize for this one !! If you participate you will be entered to win a Stampin' Up! goodie bag valued at $50 !! Golden Anniversary

Hey Stampers,

Well, the end of the week is nearing ! Its Thursday, and I feel like this week has FLOWN by ! I have been so busy trying to set up Catherine and Cathy Create. Messaging between me and Cathy is at an all time high (which is saying something haha), lining up our fabulous Design Team, laying down a schedule of posts, etc etc it seems to be never ending ! Fun and everything, but still a lot of work. So when I had a few minutes to myself lat night to do some stamping - it was very relaxing ! I had to prepare a couple projects for the CCC Color Challenge that Cathy and I are posting tomorrow, but I also had to make a 50th Anniversary card for a friend of my Mother In Law's ! And when I think 50th, I think GOLD. So take a look at this blinged out beauty !!

Now, is that a celebration card of what !?! I used lots of gold here - Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder, Champagne Glimmer Paper and Brushed Gold Cardstock. Love it ! I embossed the 50th using Versamark and my embossing powder, how beautiful ! I stamped the "happy anniversary" and the border using Soft Suede ink, really goes will with the gold I think. All of these images are from the Memorable Moments stamp set. I then die cut the piece out with my Label Collection framelits, plus the Champagne Glimmer Paper piece. These were layered with some Glue Dots. I sponged a Tea Lace Paper Doily with some Crumb Cake, and added it to the back of my Labels. Love those sweet doilies !

My dry embossed layer is a piece of Very Vanilla measuring 3-3/4" x 5". I embossed it with the Beautifully Baroque embossing folder, and layered it onto a piece of Brushed Gold Cardstock measuring 4" x 5-1/4". I took a 3/4" strip of the Glimmer Paper and added it to the centre of my embossed piece. I layered some Victoria Crochet Trim and some 3/8" Soft Suede Taffeta Ribbon over it, for a nice layered look. I then added my die cut piece on top with some Dimensionals. Really pretty easy, but SO impressive !!

Well, thats it for me today !! Come back tomorrow to see my FIRST EVER post for Catherine and Cathy Create ! I will highlight my project on here, but to see mine and Cathy's make sure to visit the CCC blog !! Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !

Mosaic Madness Flower Convention Swap

Hey Stampers,

Good morning !! It is a beautiful day here today - supposed to get NICE and hot ! Well, hot for here being the hugh 20's ... hahaha. I know that in the rest of the world, that is just regular but here thats a cause for celebration !! LOL I am SO excited today, cause I have a BRAND NEW BLOG !!! Now, don't panic ... I am still having THIS blog, this blog is my first love (hahaha). But, my awesome stampi'n friend Cathy Caines and I have started a new Challenge blog - Catherine and Cathy Create !!

Its going to be SO fun ! We're going to have lots of fun monthly challenges, Christmas year round, lots of fun cards and scrapbook pages !! You should TOTALLY come over and check us out !! We have our first July Color Challenge going on RIGHT NOW !! So awesome !! Can you tell that I'm a tiny bit excited !?! LOL

OK so on to todays project ! As I am sure you all remember, I am going to Utah for Convention in a mere 12 days ! I'm sure I've mentioned it one (or twice, or 20 times ... LOL). I am involved in 2 fun Swaps while I am there, and I am going to share one of those creations with you today !? A swap is SO cool. I make a big pile of the same card, and then I trade with other demos and get a big pile of DIFFERENT cards ! Lots of fun inspiration and stuff going on ! So, take a look at Swap #1 !!

Isn't that darling !?! I have seen a few ideas using the Mosaic Madness set and making a flower, so I thought that would be a SUPER cute card for a swap ! And, with the awesome Mosaic punch to help me out - it hardly takes any time at all ! My color combo for this sweet card is Blushing Bride, Pool Party and Pistachio Pudding - love those soft colors ! I stamped the solid mosaic image in Blushing Bride 5 times, and punched them out. I used some Snail to attach them in a flower shape onto a 1"
Circle Punch. I stamed my little flower centre in Pool Party ink, and then fussy cut it out. I added it to the middle of my flower with a Dimensional.

My main layer is a piece of Whisper White measuring 4" x 5-1/4". I chose a lovely Pool Party piece of DSP from the Quatrefancy paper pack, which I cut to 2" x 5-1/4". I layered a tiny Blushing Bride scallop that I punched with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch behind it, and added it to my Whisper White layer. My sentiment is from the Really Good Greetings stamp set, stamped in Pool Party ink. This was all layered onto a Pistachio Pudding card base. 2 Pistachio Pudding striped mosaic "leaves" and a couple Pearls finishes off this adorable card ! Love a touch of pearly bling !!

Well, thats my card for today. This swap is done for the Team Canada ladies - I hope they like it !! I cant wait to see what they came up with too. Thanks so much for coming by today ! And don't forget to follow me on my Catherine and Cathy Create blog as well !! Gonna be a blast !! Have a great day and Happy Stamping !!

Make A Wish ...

Hey Stampers,

Good Morning to ya ! It looks like its gonna be another beautiful day here today. Yesterday was SUPER hot and beautiful, and I even got a sunburn ! Not so nice, but it was fun while I got it !! Hahaha We went on a lovely ATV ride yesterday, and it was just beautiful. We also went out for a delicious dinner ! It was a great anniversary, for sure. I am sharing a really cute birthday card today. I have seen so many cards using candles, that I thought I would try my hand at one ! And I am so pleased with the fun results !! I paired it with some other cute elements as well. Take a look !

Isn't that so cute !? Another bright summers color combo as well - Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral. Love these tropical colors together !! My main stamped layer is a piece of Whisper White measuring 3-3/4" x 5". On the left hand side, I stamped the cute oval chevron image from the Oh Hello set in 1/2 strength Coastal Cabana ink. That means, I stamped my inked up image off once on a piece of scrap paper, so I got a lighter version of the color. Perfect for when you want that COLOR but a shade lighter! For my candle, I used a scrap strip of the Calypso Coral DSP from the Epic Day papers. I also used the Corner Rounder punch to give it a rounded top. I punched out a wing from the Bird Punch in Daffodil Delight for the flame as well - CUTE right !?! I adhered that above my candle with a Dimensional and covered it with some Dazzling Details for a bit of sparkle. I saved the other half of the card for my sentiment !

The ADORABLE sentiment is one of my favs EVER. Its from the Make A Wish stamp set, which was in the Spring Catty and then carried over into the new Annual Catalogue. I used my Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight markers to color it in, and stamped it onto my layer. I wanted to try a cute frame to highlight the fun sentiment, so I made one using Coastal Cabana cardstock and the Window Frames Framelits ! I cut the smaller window, and then layered my larger over it and ran it through my Big Shot again. Isn't that a cool effect !! I then adhered it to my layer using some Dimensionals I cut in half. A cut bow using the Calypso Coral Bakers Twine really added another fun details. I added this stamped layer onto a piece of Daffodil Delight measuring 4" x 5-1/4", and then added that to my Coastal Cabana card base with some Dimensionals. Love how it turned out !

Thanks so much for dropping by today !! I am so in the summer mood lately, so expect lots of more quick and bright cards ! Something you can make easily in-between barbecues and swimming !! LOL Have a wonderful day and Happy Stamping !!

Splattered Anniversary

Hey Stampers,

Happy Canada Day !! Well, if you are in Canada that is. Also, happy anniversary to ME ! LOL My sweet hubby and I have been married 7 years today ! That seems so crazy to me. Hahaha So, to "celebrate" our anniversary today we are going to go to our cabin and do some clean up work. Romantic right !?! But we love spending time at our cabin, and we need to get it ready to use for the summer ! It is supposed to be another beautiful day here, so it should be lots of fun ! Our cabin is right on a nice beach, so Jackson will have lots of fun throwing rocks in the water and everything too. LOL It was nice and warm here yesterday, so Jackson and I went out in the backyard and he ran through the sprinkler. He loves the water, so he had a lot of fun. I also had a few moments to do some stamping ! One of the cards I made is the anniversary card I made for Brian ! I am SO obsessed with splattering my cards lately, so I was excited to do it on his card. I used some fun new products on this card, along with some of my favourites. Take a look at what I came up with !

I am SO loving this style lately. My good friend Cathy is totally having an influence on my stamping ! LOL Love of white space, with splatters. LOVE it ! And this color combo of Island Indigo, Crushed Curry and Real red is so bright but still masculine. My stamped layer is a piece of Whisper White measuring 3-3/4" x 5". I stamped the "you" using the Morning Post stamp set in Island Indigo ink. Then I took the sketchy outline heart from the Hearts A Flutter set, and stamped it right above it in Real Red. I thought the new ABC-123 Outline Alphabet and Numbers set would be a fun match of these 2 sets, so I used that one to stamp my "love" in Crushed Curry ink. Love how perfectly these stamped images fit together !! I then took my Island Indigo and Real Red re-inkers to do my splattering. I squeezed a small drop of re-inker into the cover of my ink pad, and used my wet Aqua Painter to pick up the ink. Using the re-inker instead of just ink from the ink pad gives a really nice, vibrant splatter. I just flick the Aqua Painter over my cardstock as many times as I want to get the look I am going for. So fun!!

I then took a small strip of the 3/4" Crushed Curry Chevron Ribbon (this new ribbon is SOOOO fabulous) to wrap around the side. I cut a point in the ribbon, like an arrow, to point at the sentiment. Cute right !? This was adhered to the card using Glue Dots. I took a large Island Indigo button (from the Regals Designer Buttons) tied with some Linen Thread and layered it on top of my ribbon. This whole stamped layer was added to a piece of Real red measuring 3-7/8" x 5-1/8", love that really slim 1/8" border. This was then added to my Whisper White card base using Dimensionals. I wanted a but more splatter, so I added a couple of the new Candy Dots on here as well !! Love those fun things. Don't they look cool !?!

Here's a pic of the inside of the card. I used the Occasions Alphabet set to stamp the fun sentient in Island Indigo ink. I punched it out with the Large Oval Punch, and layered it onto a Crushed Curry Decorative Label. I tiny Real Red heart from the Owl Punch finishes off the inside ! I just love putting the sentiments in the bottom corners of cards lately. It leaves lots of room for writing a message ! I may write a mushy love note to my sweetie in here. LOL

Well thats my card for today !! I am SO pleased with how it turned out. Expect lots more splatters in my future ! Its a super fun technique, and a great way to use the re-inkers !
