Perfectly By the Tide

Hey Stampers,

Good Friday to you !! I am SO EXCITED because the day is FINALLY here !! Starting at Noon MST (3:30pm Newfoundland Time) the 2013-2014 Annual Catalogue is LIVE and available o order from !! WOO HOO !! I was getting my list all finalized last night, so I right ready to enter it this afternoon !! Yay !! So, in celebration, I have a card saying "Celebrate Today" !! I used the so awesome stamp set By The Tide, which is in our new catty, along with the Perfectly Penned sentiment set ! My color combo of Soft Sky, Pool Party, Island Indigo and Crumb Cake is so soft and beautiful, really makes me think of the water ! I am really pleased with how this lovely card turned out. Take a look and see for yourself !!

Isn't that beautiful !?! I love it. My first step was to die cut 2 of the Apothecary Accents framelits, one in Soft Sky and one in Crumb Cake. I stamped the Soft Sky one on the edges with Soft Sky ink and the beautiful coral image, and then sponged the edges with Crumb Cake ink. I am SO loving this Soft Sky color !! It is just gorgeous. I stamped my crumb cake die cut with the Pool Party ink and that awesome coral stamp again, on the top and bottom. The middle I stamped with Island Indigo ink and my sentiment. Love how these colors look stamped on Crumb Cake !! I also sponged this piece with the Crumb Cake ink. I cut my Soft Sky die cut in half, and layered it behind my Crumb Cake one. A really lovely look !! I stamped the fish in Island Indigo ink onto Pool Party cardstock and the shell in Pool Party ink onto Soft Sky cardstock. I cut both of them out with my Paper Snips. I added them to my die cut piece with some Dimensionals, and gave them some "ocean sparkle" with my 2 Way Glue Pen and some Dazzling Diamonds glitter. A Silver Basics Designer Button tied with some Linen Thread really adds a lot. I am gonna miss these buttons a LOT as today is the last day to get them !

As for my layers, I tore the edge of a strip of the First Edition DSP and stamped it all over with the Sea Horse stamp with Soft Sky ink. I stamped a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of the retired Sent With Love DSP with the script image stamp in Island Indigo ink all down one side. It was really easy to stack, even without a Stamp-a-ma-jig ! I wrapped a piece of the 7/16" Natural Trim around my layer, and adhered it to an Island Indigo card base. I tucked my First Edition DSP under the ribbon, and attached my die cuts with Dimensionals. Love this card !! It would be perfect for a birthday or any sort of celebration. Don't you think ???

Thats my card for today ! I am so happy I get to use this gorgeous set all year long. It is perfect for masculine cards, but as you can see here, it also makes beautiful cards you can give to anybody ! Don't forget to place your order today !! If you haven't seen the brand new catalogue yet, click on the link to the right of this post !! Also, I would love to send you a copy if you are wanting one. Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

More Amore Valentine's Scrapbook Page

Hey Stampers,

Tomorrow is the LAST DAY to order from this year's awesome Spring Catalogue. Even though it is also the first day we can orer from the NEW catalogue, it is still sad to say goodbye to so many awesome products. My fav fav FAV item from the Spring "Mini" is the so beautiful More Amore DSP. I also love the matching Hearts A Flutter stamp set and framelits, but we are lucky that they are in the new catty !! Yesterday I printed a bunch of pictures to do some scrapbooking with. I haven't made any pages using 2013 pictures yet, so last night I made my first 2013 page !! I printed some cute pics of Jack from Valentines Day and thought it was the perfect opportunity to say goodbye to that gorgeous DSP. I am SO happy with what I came up with !! Take a look !!

Isn't that sweet !? Its a pretty basic layout, I really let the cute pictures and fun DSP speak for itself. First thing I did was trim my pictures. I then matted them onto Pool Party and Primrose Petals. I love double mats for my pictures, they really stand out that way. I took a piece of 12x12 Pink Pirouette cardstock, and trimmed it to 11-3/4" square. I then stamped the chevron heart and outline heart from the Hearts A Flutter stamp randomly over it with some Pink Pirouette ink. I also used my (retiring) Color Spritzer Tool to spray some Pool Party and Primrose Petals splatters using my Stampin' Write Markers. I took my FAV pattern of DSP, those adorable tiny hearts, and cut it at 3-1/2" x 11-3/4" and layered it onto a piece of polka dotted Pool Party DSP from the Patterns Stack. I then wrapped some 3/8" Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon around that, and put some 1/4" Real Red Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon on top of THAT ribbon. I love those little ruffles peeking out !! I used my last remaining heart shaped laser cut doily (also from the DSP pack) and put a DSP heart that I cut with my Hearts Collection Framelits in the middle of it. I adhered my 2 smaller pictures straight down to my page, and used Dimensionals on my large picture. I put my doily heart behind my large picture. I thought it would be fun to say when these pics were taken by using the "Happy Valentine's Day" stamp from Teeny Tiny Wishes, so I stamped it in Real Red ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock and die cut it out using my Bitty Banners Framelits. I added it to my doily heart.

My title of "Love You" is from the Seasonal Sayings stamp set (also showing up the new catty). I used my Pool Party and Primrose Petals markers to color it and stamped it onto some Very Vanilla cardstock. I die cut it out with my Hearts Collection Framelits, and also cut out a Primrose Petals layer. I paper pierced my layer heart with the Occasions Paper Piercing Pack. I used some more DSP patterns to make my banners at the top of the page, and made a little medallion using the 1-1/4" Scallop Circle Punch, 1" Circle Punch, 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch and Real Red button tied with some Pool Party Bakers Twine. I used the new Artisan Label Punch folded in half attached to a strip of Very Vanilla for my little journaling tag. I finished off that piece with a Pool Party Printed Designer Brad. Everything was put on a 12"x12" piece of Crumb Cake. Love this layout !!

Thanks a lot for coming by today. I know I don't do scrapbooking pages very often, but expect some more in the near future because I have a bunch of pictures printed !! Yay !! Hope you have a great day and Happy Stamping !!

Quite A Pear !!

Hey Stampers,

I knew this would happen. I am back with ANOTHER Perfectly Preserved project. I love this awesome set so much, and I wanted to make another fun card to show you guys !! Today I used the ADORABLE pear stamp. This is SUCH a cute image, with the little heart and everything in the middle - I just love it !! I am also using the retiring Storytime DSP. This colorful paper is so bright and cheerful. I got my awesome color combo of Pool PArty, Wild Wasabi, So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, Riding Hood Red and Early Espresso from this fun pack of paper. This actual stripe pattern doesn't include the Pumpkin Pie or Early Espresso, but with some other touches the colors still go great. Take a look at my sweet project and see for yourself !!

Isn't that SO cute !?! I LOVE it !! I took a piece of Whisper White cardstock measuring 1-3/4" x 5-1/2" and stamped my pears on it. I started with the So Saffron one in the middle and worked my way out. That is the best way to make sure everything is centred. I then used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to add on my little leaves in Early Espresso ink. So easy and they get put in the PERFECT place every time !! I layered this stamped piece onto some Early Espresso cardstock measuring 2" x 5-1/2" with some Dimensionals. Love adding this dark border to really make my stamped images POP! I took a scrap of Wild Wasabi 5-1/2" long and die cut it with my Large Scallop Edgelit. I used the Essentials Paper Piercing Pack to add the fun piercing to my scallops. I wrapped a piece of the 1/8" Pumpkin Pie Taffeta Ribbon around my scalloped piece, and then added a bow with a Glue Dot. Cute !! I used Dimensionals to attach my scallops onto my stamped piece. Love all that fun Dimension !!

My card base is a piece of Riding Hood Red. I added my DSP (measuring 4" x 5-1/2") to the card base, and then added my main stamped layer. I stamped my "thank you" sentiment from the (retiring) Wishes Your Way stamp set in Early Espresso ink onto a scrap of Whisper White. I punched it out with the Word Window Punch, off to the left hand side of the punch. I wanted to leave a space for my button !! I took a So Saffron button, tied a bow in it with Early Espresso Bakers Twine, and added it to my Word Window. This was layered onto a Pool Party Modern Label. Love the added cuteness from my sentiment piece, don't you !?!

I am TOTALLY in love with how this card turned out !! I hope you like it too !! If you want to make your own version of this sweet card, please place your order for this retiring stamp set and DSP before June 3rd !! Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

Elements of Style Vintage Dress Up

Hey Stampers,

On the journey towards June 3rd (the last day to order off the Retirement List), I have another card to show you using some retired products !! This is actually one of the cards I did in my May Stamp Club this month. I got the idea from this beautiful kit that Stampin' Up! has available in our online store, called Dolled Up Birthday. I thought it was SO beautiful, and was pretty happy cause I could create a version of it myself with products I already had !! I jazzed mine up a tiny bit, call it a Stepped Up version if you will. I really LOVE how it turned out, and so did my Stamp Club Girls. Take a look at my beautiful version !

I am SO into the vintage style lately !! Love anything sponged, and this card has that in ABUNDANCE. But, first things first. I used my SO FUN Dress Up Framelits (which are in the NEW catalogue too ! Yay!!) to die cut this dress form image using the (retiring) First Edition DSP. I then took the huge flower stamp from the Elements of Style set (also sadly retiring ) and stamped some flowers and leaves where I wanted them in Jet Black StazOn Ink. Then it was time to watercolor !! I used my Blender Pens to add Riding Hood Red and Lucky Limeade (also both retiring) to my stamped image. LOVE how beautiful it turn out !! Stamping on this DSP always looks so great. Love the printed words showing through my coloured parts ! This this was sponged with Crumb Cake ink. I wrapped a little piece of the 1/4" Early Espresso Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon around "her" waist, and then added a Vintage Faceted Button and a Basic Pearl. I then adhered the dress form to a sponged piece of Very Vanilla measuring 1-1/2" x 5". I stamped my cute little tag using the Tiny Tags set and matching Jewelry Tag Punch (both retiring!!) and added it with a Glue Dot.

My main layer is a piece of Crumb Cake measuring 4" x 5-1/4". I stamped the flower image in the 4 corners using Early Espresso ink and also sponged around the edges with Early Espresso. I took a Tea Lace Paper Doily, sponged it with Crumb Cake, and added it to the middle of my layer. This was a great background for my stamped piece, don't you think ?? Love those awesome Doilies, and we get to use them for a lot longer cause they are in the new catalogue !! All of this was added to an Early Espresso sponged Riding Hood Red card base. Really love the effect of all this sponging ! So gorgeous.

Well thats my fun card for today !! My club gals had a GREAT time making it ! If you would love to join our club, please let me know. We would love to have you !! Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

Farewell Perfectly Preserved

Hey Stampers,

Well, it has happened. My FAVOURITE stamp set is retiring. And yes, I know that it was in the Holiday Mini and I had to say goodbye to it once - but Perfectly Preserved has to be one of my ALL TIME fav sets. And with matching framelits !?! I dream come true. I cant promise you that this will be my last project with this awesome set though. I may even use it again this week before it retires on June 3rd ! I was overwhelmed with fun ideas for this set when I went to my scrap room last night, but I finally decided to case this GORGEOUS card by Erica Cerwin that I saw on her awesome blog Pink Buckaroo Designs. She posted her version a while ago, but I have loved it and didn't get a chance to make my own version until last night !! I also am using my favourite of all time Stampin' Up! color of Rose Red paired with Wild Wasabi. Take a look at this sweet bouquet !!

Isn't that just darling !?! First thing I did was prep my jar piece. I took a piece of Whisper White measuring 2-1/2" x 4-3/4" and stamped my jar towards the bottom in Jet Black StazOn ink. I layered this piece onto a piece of Rose Red measuring 2-5/8" x 4-7/8". I then stamped my stem image in Wild Wasabi ink a bunch of times. The most fun part of this card was they way I did the ribbon. I took my Paper Snips and Stampin' Pierce Mat and cut little slits on either side of the mouth of the jar, and fed my ribbon through there ! Very easy and really makes it look like the ribbon is wrapped around the jar !! Then I tied a nice big bow. LOVE my 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain !! And this Wild Wasabi is so nice and soft isn't it ?? I like how its soft but still a rich color, if that makes any sense. I great match with the Rose Red I think.

I then used my Rose Red marker to color my sentiment. The "For You" is part of the "Just For You" banner stamp from this set, but with my marker, it was easy to just get the part I wanted. I stamped it onto a scrap of Whisper White and punched it out with the also retiring Jewellery Tag Punch. A little Glue Dot adhered it right under my bow. I stamped the fun blossom cluster image 5 times onto Whisper White scrap and punched them out with the 1" Circle Punch. Not an exact match, but I think it works great ! I then adhered all of these with some Dimensionals. Some of them got a double layer so they would not be all the same thickness. My card base is Rose Red, and my DSP layer is a Rose Red pattern from the Floral District DSP. Love the monochromatic look !! I then added a bunch of the tiniest pearls from the Basic Pearls to some of the flowers. Sweet !!

Thats my card for today. If you don't have this awesome MUST HAVE set (and the matching framelits that I didn't use on this card) please grab them before they are gone forever !! You have until June 3rd to get them. And the fun thing is, the new catalogue goes live on May 31st so you can order retiring things AND new things together after then !! Wicked or what !?! Love that. Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

Simple Sundays #1 - Mosaic Madness Banners

Hey Stampers,

Happy Sunday to you !! It is a gorgeous day in Newfoundland today - I have all my windows open so the warm air can blow through my house. We were outside all yesterday, and plan to go outside again after lunch. I was doing a bit of laundry this morning, and since my laundry room is also my Craft Room I decided to make a quick card ! I have been really drawn to simple cards lately. Something about a card that uses minimal products and that you can create in about 15 minutes is SO wonderful - who doesn't have 15 or 20 minutes to spare ?! I am going to start a series today called Simple Sundays - it probably wont be every Sunday but I will come back to it from time to time. My first in this series uses an idea that I saw on Stampin' Connection from the talented Nicole Tugrul (www.becreativewithnicole.blogspot.com). She made 2 really sweet cards using this fun design, and I wanted to try one for myself ! Heres what I came up with with the awesome Mosaic Madness and Banner Greetings stamp sets.

Isn't that cute !?! I am SO in love with this fun color combo - Bermuda Bay, Rich Razzleberry and Strawberry Slush. Aren't they so fun and fresh !?! For my stamped piece, I used a piece of Whisper White measuring 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" and made this fun repeating pattern. It took no time at all using my Stamp-a-ma-jig ! I then cut a banner end on the bottom of it. I layered this onto a piece of Strawberry Slush measuring 2" x 4", also with a banner end, using some Dimensionals. I wrapped some of the so sweet 1/4" Rich Razzleberry Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon around the top, and added a fun little bow with a glue dot. I stamped my sentiment in Bermuda Bay ink and sniped it out with my Paper Snips. I added a tiny scalloped edge that I made with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch and a scrap of Strawberry Slush to it, and added it to my stamped panel with some Dimensionals. I embossed my Bermuda Bay card base with the Modern Mosaic embossing folder, and then added my panel right on top ! So quick and easy !! And of course, we needed some bling with some Basic Rhinestones. LOL

So thats my Simple Sunday card today !! I am so in love with all of these new products. They are available on FRIDAY (May 31st) so scoop them up then !! Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

Best of Butterflies In Color Intro !!

Hey Stampers,

There is nothing like something NEW is there !?! A new outfit, a new lipstick, a new friend ?? Well, what about new COLORS ?! I LOVE new colors. Even more ways to create beautiful things. Today I am going to introduce to your our BRAND NEW In Colors for 2013-2015 !! They are SO lovely - all I can call them is delicious !! With yummy names that remind me of delicious desserts - how can they be anything but ?? My card today uses all 5 of the new colors - Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe, Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana and Baked Brown Sugar. I decided to pair them with a mix of products - brand new, a current favourite and retiring !! Take a look at this sweet card !!

Like I said, can that be called anything but yummy !?! I used the beautiful new butterfly stamp from Best of Butterflies and stamped in 4 of the new colors. These awesome stamp matches our fabulous Elegant Butterfly punch, so of course they got a quick pop out. For some more rich color, I stamped the gorgeous HUGE flower stamp from Betsy's Blossoms in the 4 colors again onto their respective card stocks. Isn't that just a gorgeous background !?! I then punched each of them out with the Curly Label Punch and adhered my butterflies with a Glue Dot. A group of 3 Rhinestones make their sparkly bodies. Cute, right ??

I cut a piece of Whisper White at 4" square to mount my stamped pieces on. I embossed it first with the retiring Cloudy Day embossing folder - this is a DEFINITE must have !! This was then layered onto a 4-1/4" square piece of that gorgeous Coastal Cabana. I added this piece to the left hand side of a Baked Brown Sugar card base. I stamped my sweet sentiment from the brand new Really Good Greetings stamp set in Baked Brown Sugar ink and punched it out with the Ticket Duo Punch. I used a Strawberry Slush scrap to punch out a Petite Curly Label, which I folded over as a fun tab on my Sentiment. A bit of Whisper White Bakers Twine really set off my sentiment piece, and looks so great with the right brown of the Baked Brown Sugar. Awesome !!

Well, I hope you are just as excited as I am about these 5 new colors !! I am so looking forward to using them a LOT over the next 2 years !! Thanks a lot for coming by today !! Leave me a comment telling me which of the new In Colors is YOUR favorite !! Its hard to choose, but I think that Strawberry Slush will get a lot of use in my Stamp Room. Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Stamping !!

Printed Petals & International Bazaar Card Collection

Hey Stampers,

I could weeks ago, I showed you this fun post, where I made a card collection using the Tea Shoppe stamp set and Tea for Two DSP. I had such fun making these sweet and simple cards, that I decided I would make another collection for my Mother In Law. I gave them to her for Mother's Day and she LOVED them ! I used the retiring Printed Petals and Friendly Phrases stamp sets along with the International Bazaar DSP. I love these bold and fun products together !! I made 5 cards (with matching DSP envelopes) and a little belly band to hold them together ... take a look !!

Here is the collection all together in the Belly Band. I used a some 12" Chocolate Chip cardstock and a strip of the DSP folded around the cards to hold them together. I then decorated them with some of the flowers from the Printed Petals set that I fussy cut and attached together with the retiring In Color Printed Brads (which I LOVE and will miss a whole lot). The little sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set, and then it was die cut using the matching Bitty Banners Framelits. Some lovely 3/8" Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon finishes off this fun package. I love the colors I used on these cards !! I pulled them from the DSP of course, they are Pool Party, Daffodil Delight, Lucky Limeade, Rich Razzleberry, Tangerine Tango, Pacific Point and Chocolate Chip. So bright and bold !!

Here is card #1. I used the same process for these cards: a standard card base of Whisper White with a 2" x 5-1/2" piece of of DSP and a strip of ribbon. All of the sentiments were all stamped in Chocolate Chip ink and punched out with the Decorative Label punch. This card uses the 1-14" Circle Punch to punch out my Tangerine Tango flower. I then layered it onto a 1-3/8" Circle of Lucky Limeade and added a Printed Brad. This was then put on a 1-3/4" Scalloped Circle of Tangerine Tango and added it to the card with some Dimensionals ! A couple of Basic Rhinestones were necessary, of course. LOL

This card used the HUGE flower stamp in Pool Party ink. I stamped it a couple times before adhering my DSP and 1/2" Tangerine Tango Scallop Dots Ribbon. This one needed LOTS of bling, so I used a bunch of the Rhinestones to really add that yummy sparkle.

I think this one is my favourite of the set. I LOVE this DSP so much ! I stamped my 3 flowers in Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight and Rich Razzleberry and punched them out with the 1" Circle Punch. I added an Old Olive Brights brad to the centres, and attached them to a 1-14" Scalloped Circle of Lucky Limeade. This was added to my card using more Dimensionals. The ribbon here is the 1/4" Pacific Point Stitched Grosgrain.

The flower stamp on this card matches the 1-3/4" Scallop Circle punch. I stamped it in Daffodil Delight, punched it out and added it right on top of my strip of 1/2" Chocolate Chip Scallop Dots Ribbon. Remember, all of this Scallop Dots ribbon is RETIRING and its on for 40% off too !! So scoop some up !! I took a Rich Razzleberry button (also retiring) and tied some Early Espresso Bakers Twine in a bow in the middle and added it to my flower. Fun and simple !

This last card is another one of my favs. I just love that fun flower embellishment !! This time I stamped 2 in Daffodil Delight ink and 1 in Rich Razzleberry. I punched them with the 1" Circle Punch and added some Pool Party printed brads. I layered this onto some 1-1/4" Scalloped Circles in Pool Party. So sweet !!

Well, thats my FUN card collection today !! Its so amazing to see how the basic design of these cards is identical to the Tea Shoppe collection, but they turned out SO different !! How much DSP and different stamp sets change a project is so surprising sometimes !! Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

Eiffel Tower in the Sunshine

Hey Stampers,

I am still on a Happy High from last night's Stamp Club. Me and my ladies had an AWESOME time making some fun projects and just having a blast in general. I used a bunch of retiring products last night, and I will continue to show you guys as many projects as possible using these going away products for the rest of the month ! There is not much time left now for some of these awesome items - so make sure you get in your order before its too late !!

The fun card I am sharing today was made out of a bunch of stuff that was sitting on my desk. I was playing with the awesome Sunshine and Sprinkles DSP, Wishes your Way stamp set and Brights Brads when I made this card, and before I put them away I wanted to play with them again ! I had seen an AMAZING card by Julie Ramos over on her blog using the Artistic Etchings stamp set, and I loved her design so much I wanted to make one of my own !! She used some new colors, stamps and DSP for hers but I wanted to keep enjoying my retiring stuff for a while longer ! I love this fun way to use the Apothecary Accents and Ovals Collection Framelits. What do you think !?!

Isn't that SO awesome !?! I love, love, LOVE that fun frame !! Heres how I created it. I die cut the label shape from the Apothecary Accents framelits with the striped DSP, Then I cut out the centre with one of the Ovals Collection framelits. I then cut a larger Oval out of Whisper White to layer underneath it. I stamped the beautiful Eiffel Tower stamp with Basic Gray ink, and layered the frame over it with Dimensionals. I added some punched Melon Mambo flowers I created using the Itty Bitty Punch Pack to the stamped piece and the frame with some Brights Brads in Daffodil Delight. For my sentiment piece, I stamped the polka dotted frame image from the Four Frames set in Melon Mambo and put the happy birthday from Wishes Your Way inside it with Lucky Limeade ink. I punched this out with the matching Decorative Label Punch. A couple more of those sweet flowers (this time in Daffodil Delight with Old Olive brads) really make this sentiment pop !! Love it !!

My main layer is a piece of Daffodil Delight that I embossed with the Stripes embossing folder. I added some of the fun 3/8" Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon to it, and then added everything to a Basic Gray card base. These bright colors and fun designs are sure to make anyones birthday a happy one !!

Thanks for coming by today. I am going to squeeze in as many posts as I can between now and when stuff retires on June 3rd, but they wont all be retiring products !! I have some more Sneak Peeks in store for you from the new Annual Catalogue as well !! So make sure you come back soon. Have a great day and Happy Stamping !!

Language of Friendship Stacked Fancy Favor Die

Hey Stampers,

I am SUPER excited because tonight is my May Stamp Club !! I just love getting together with my club girls and having lots of fun stamping, creating, chatting and eating !! The project I am showing you today uses all retiring products and it my Hostess Gift for tonight !! One of the items I am most sad is retiring is the AWESOME Fancy Favor Die. This die makes the cutest bags and I am so bummed that it is going ! I made a stacked or double fancy favor for this project - twice the Fancy Favor goodness !! I am also using retired ribbon, DSP, cardstock, inks and the stamp set Language of Friendship. I really love how this project turned out !! Take a look !!

Isn't that SO sweet !?! My first step was to actually make the favor. I used a 12" piece of Riding Hood Red for my bottom box. I just die cut it on my Big Shot and assembled as normal. For my top box, I used a piece of the lovely Twitterpated DSP. When that was cut out, I cut off the flaps that would normally make up the bottom, and that became my top. I adhered the box together on the side (remember to use Sticky Strip for this) and folded on all my score lines. Then I used the small scallop punch from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack to punch 2 holes on the top for my ribbon to go through. You could use a regular hole punch as well, but I liked the scalloped holes. I then fed through my 3/8" Island Indigo Ruffled Ribbon and tied it in a bow. Then you just fill the bottom part with treats, and slide the top down over it !! VERY cute !! Then, it was time to decorate it !!

I used my Labels Collection Framelits to die cut a Blushing Bride label and a Whisper White label (I used the 2 smallest ones). I embossed the Whisper White one with the Square Lattice embossing folder and used my Festive Paper Piercing Pack to do some paper piercing around the Blushing Bride one. I adhered these 2 together, and used Dimensionals to attach it to my Twitterpated piece of the Favor Box, so it would still open and close easily. Then it was time for some stamping !! I stamped the beautiful bird from the Language of Friendship set in Baja Breeze ink and the branch in some Pear Pizzazz ink. I used my Bird Punch to pop both of these out and used more Dimensionals to add it to my Labels. I used Blushing Bride and Riding Hood Red ink to stamp the fun flowers, and punched them out with my Boho Blossoms punch. I used an Old Olive Glimmer Brad to create the centre of my flower and added that to my box as well. And thats it ! Very easy and beautiful. I just love it !! I hope my hostess tonight does too.

Thats my fun project for today !! Please drop over to my Online Store to pick up these retiring products before June 3rd !! Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

Sunshine & Sprinkles Pinwheel Birthday Card

Hey Stampers !!

Happy Victoria Day !! If you are in Canada that is. Otherwise, Happy Monday !! LOL I am so happy to have a nice day off today and be just relaxing at home with my 2 boys (child and man LOL). We had a big dump of SNOW yesterday (yes, snow ... in May ...) so it doesn't look very springlike outside - but my card today is a lovely spring or summer Birthday card !! I am using the awesome Pinwheel Sizzlit Die, which will retire when the Spring Catalogue is over the end of this month. So if you haven't scooped up this ADORABLE little die yet, please do so soon !! I paired this fun die with the super fun Sunshine and Sprinkles DSP (also going with the Spring Catalogue) and love how fun they are together !! I also used the fun stamp set that co-ordinates with the Pinwheel Sizzlet called Wishes Your Way - very cute sentiments !! Take a look at the cute card I created !!

Isn't that so bright and cheerful !?! The color combo of Lucky Limeade, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo and Marina Mist is such a great Summer combo - I will really miss Lucky Limeade when it retires on June 3rd ! First thing I did was pick 3 cute patterns from the Sunshine and Sprinkles DSP for my pinwheels. I then die cut them with my Big Shot. This die takes a little bit of fiddling to put together, but its totally worth it in my opinion !! I use a tiny bit of Snail to help me keep it together before I add my Brad to the centre. I used the retiring Subtles Brads in marina Mist for the centres of my pinwheels. The die cut holes are a bit small (they are designed to use with the Silver Mini Brads) but I used my Paper Piercing Tool to make them a bit bigger so I could use coloured brads. I took some 1/8" strips of Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight cardstock for my pinwheel sticks. I adhered them to a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of this beautiful cloudy sky patterned DSP, also rom the Sunshine and Sprinkles pack. I took a 1-1/4" piece of Lucky Limeade and punched it with the (retired) Pinking Hearts Border Punch because I liked how the pointed edge looked like grass. I adhered it to my DSP layer, and then added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Daffodil Delight.

My sweet sentiment is from the Wishes Your Way stamp set. I took a 3/8" wide strip of Whisper White cardstock and stamped it in Melon Mambo ink. I gave it a banner end with my 1" Square Punch and used my Bone Folder to curve the paper into a fluttery banner. I used Snail and a double layer or Dimensionals to attach it to my card layer. I needed something else, so I took the small scallop punch from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack and punched out 2 Melon Mambo flowers. I used some Daffodil Delight brads from the Bright Brads for the flower centres and used my Paper Piercing Tool to attach it straight down to my layer. Love that fun splash of color !! The my layer was adhered to a Lucky Limeade card base using more Snail. A fun and funky card for some lucky person this summer !!

Well thats my summer inspired card today from a Winter Wonderland. LOL I am using lots of retired products lately, so don't forget to go by my Online Store to check out the Retirement Lists and pick up some of these great products for yourself ! Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

Quatrefancy Suite Sneak Peek !!

Hey Stampers,

Well, it's Victoria Day Weekend. Here in Canada that means a long weekend !! But, I am working today. Ha ha. Oh well !! But, I did wake up to SNOW this morning - so I am glad I am not out camping !! LOL I have another FUN sneak peek for you today of products and new colors from the new Annual Catalogue that goes live on May 31st !! It uses my new FAVOURITE color combo of Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay and Strawberry Slush. I am SO in love with these bright and fun colors !! I paired them with the Mosaic Madness stamp set and its matching accessories. I am loving everything about this Quatrefancy Suite ! Take a look at this awesome birthday card !!

Don't you just LOVE it !?! First, I took a piece of Whisper White cardstock measuring 3-3/4" x 5" and embossed it with the new Modern Mosaic embossing folder. Love this fun pattern !! I stamped me stamped images on some scrap Whisper White and punched them with the matching Mosaic Punch. I added the little Strawberry Slush stamp to the inside of the Bermuda Bay outline using my Stamp-a-ma-jig ... it couldn't have been easier ! After punching them out, I added them to my embossed design with some Dimensionals. I trimmed any overhanging edges with my Paper Snips. I also used my trusty Stamp-a-ma-jig to create the Coastal Cabana stamped banner piece. I cut a 1" strip of Coastal Cabana and stamped one of the long banner stamped in a repeating patten onto it and then gave it a banner end with my 1" Square Punch. I also cut a 1" strip of the beautiful Strawberry Slush pattern from the Quatrefancy DSP. I adhered these 2 banners onto my left hand side. I added a 1-1/4" Scallop Circle of Bermuda Bay for my Strawberry Slush Mosaic image to adhere to. My fun sentiment is from the new Banner Greetings hostess set. I stamped it in Bermuda Bay ink and it was a breeze to cut it out with my Paper Snips. All of this was added to a Bermuda Bay layer measuring 4" x 5-1/4" and then to a Strawberry Slush card base. Easy and SO fun !!

Thats my fun card for today !! I am SO excited for you guys to be able to order from the new catalogue. it is PACKED FULL of the most fun and beautiful products !! If you want a new catalogue, and don't already have a demo, please let me know and I would be happy to send you one !! Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

Best of Butterflies Little Girl Birthday

Hey Stampers !!

So, what do you think of my BRAND NEW blog design !?! I was lucky enough to get the very talented Heather over at www.blogsbyheather.com to help me create a blog design that was just right for me ! And I am SO pleased with it !! I hope my followers like it too !! I am posting 2 projects today - a card and a matching gift bag. You guys know, I LOVE decorating fun gift bags to match the birthday cards I give away - but I think this might just be my prettiest yet !! Its for a special little friend of Jackson's named Sadie who turned 2 not too long ago. And I wanted something girly and sweet for her ! I decided to use the so beautiful Best of Butterflies set and I am so pleased with the results !! Take a look !!

Isn't that just lovely !?! I am so loving the color combo of Blushing Bride, Pool Party and Wisteria Wonder. I am so happy that all of these colors are now in our "permanent" collection ! My stamped layer is a piece of Very Vanilla measuring 3-3/4" x 5". I used my markers to color my butterfly in the 3 colors and stamped it all over. I then took a 1" x 3-3/4" strip of Pool Party that I embossed with the Fancy Fan folder, wrapped some 3/8" Wisteria Wonder Ruffled Ribbon around it and adhered it to the layer. This was adhered to a Wisteria Wonder layer measuring 4" x 5-1/4", and then added to a Pool Party card base with Dimensionals. I stamped the birthday sentiment from Petite Pairs in Wisteria Wonder ink, and punched it out with the Large Oval Punch. I layered it onto a Blushing Bride Scalloped Oval, and added some more of the sweet ribbon to it. A couple of Rhinestones really makes my sentiment pop. Next it was time for my flower !!

I punched out 3 Fancy Flower punches out of Blushing Bride card stock. I then spritzed it with some of the (retired) Blushing Bride Smooch Spritz we had a couple years ago.  I crumpled up the flowers and made then more curly and fluffy with my Bone Folder, so it would look more like 3D petals. I adhered my 3 flowers together with some Dimensionals for a real WOW. The largest Vintage Faceted Button was adhered to the centre with some Glue Dots and a Large Rhinestone in the centre added the perfect bit of sparkle !! LOVE it !!

Heres the inside of the card. I stamped a couple more sentiments from the Petite Pairs set in Wisteria Wonder ink and a butterfly in Blushing Bride. Simple and sweet !

Here is my gift bag !!! Isn't that STUNNING !?! I almost hated to give it away !! First I stamped the front of the gift bag all over with Soft Suede ink and the same butterfly image. I also stamped the butterfly in Wisteria Wonder ink onto some Wisteria WOnder card stock and fussy cut it out with my paper snips. A piece of Very Vanilla measuring 3" x 6" was my main decorative piece for the bag. I cut a banner end onto it before I started. I stamped a pretty flourish from the Flowering Flourishes set in Pool Party ink in 2 opposite corners. I then stamped out her name "Sadie" with the Morning Post stamps set and more Soft Suede ink. I used my (sadly soon retired) Color Spritzer Tool with my  Blushing Bride and Crumb Cake markers for a bit of interest. I then added my sweet butterfly with some Glue Dots, fluffed up her wings and gave her a row of Rhinestones for her body. I took some different strips of In Color Patterns Stack DSP to layer behind my tag for some more added color. I also added the old retired Blushing Bride ribbon that I had left over too !! SO lovely !!

Here is a picture of them together. So perfect for a little girl, don't you think !?! Sadie (and her mom) both loved them ! I hope you do too !! Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

Daring Adventure Father's Day Card

Hey Stampers,

Today is my day off so I am excited to bring Jackson to his play group this afternoon. I am so lucky that I have a day off during the week to bring Jack to these things ! I know it would be nice to have every weekend off, but there is something to be said for a weekday to get stuff done !! The cool card I am showing you today is one that my Club Girls will get to make at my May Stamp Club next week !! it is only May, but we are doing a fathers Day card - that will be here before you know it !! I wanted to use as many retiring products as I possible could - and I am using 5 of them on this project !! The Daring Adventure stamp set, the Family Reunion stamp set (one of my must MUST haves), the Two Tags Die, Comfort Cafe DSP and Regals Buttons !! I am really loving how they all came together too ... take a look and tell me what you think ?!?

I re-used a great layout that I did a couple weeks ago (see that card here ) but they really couldn't be more different !! I love how the same layout can have so many different looks. I die cut a Very Vanilla tag using the Two Tags Die and my Big Shot. I then used ALL the stamps from the Daring Adventure set. I stamped the words background in Sahara Sand ink, the flourish in Summer Starfruit, the foot prints in Soft Suede and the sentiment in Midnight Muse. I took a small piece of the tweed like pattern of Comfort Cafe DSP, tore a strip off the bottom and sponged it with Soft Suede ink. I adhered the DSP to the top of my tag, and cut around the tag shape with my Paper Snips. I stamped the foot prints in Soft Suede ink and the "dad" from Family Reunion in Midnight Muse. I really love stamping on DSP, it gives such a great textured look ! I then sponged the outside edge of the whole tag. I cut a small piece of the 7/16" Natural Trim Ribbon and attached a safety pin from the Vintage Trinkets to it. This was added to the top of my tag with a couple Glue Dots. Lastly, a Cajun Craze button was tied with a knot of Linen Thread and adhered to the bottom of the tag with some more Glue Dots.

My background layer is a piece of the Comfort Cafe DSP measuring 4" x 5-1/4". I roughed up the edges using the Stampin' Distress Tool and then sponged with Soft Suede ink. I wrapped a piece of 3/8" Soft Suede Taffeta Ribbon around the bottom and adhered it to a sponged Cajun Craze card base. I really love the dirty distressed look of this card - perfect for a man ! And just change the "dad" to son, brother, husband, uncle ... and you have a wonderful masculine card for any occasion !! Love it !

Well thats my card for today. I can't wait to show it to my Club Girls next week !! I hope they love it as much as I do !! And if you love any of the items that I used that are retiring on June 3rd, make sure you head on over to my Online Store to grab them while you can !! Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

Label Love & Really Good Greetings Sneak Peek !!

Hey Stampers !!

Today I am FINALLY sharing with you some Sneak Peeks from the new Annual Catalogue that is going live on May 31st !! I got my box of goodies last week, but haven't really had a chance to play with the new stamps until yesterday. I always find that when I get  LOT of brand new stuff, I get a big overwhelmed. So I had to just look at them a bit before I decided what I wanted to do with them. LOL I knew that I wanted to use a bunch of the new colors as well, so I decided to get some inspiration for my color combo from the PAST! the returning colors of Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry were In Colors back in 2010, before I was involved with Stampin' Up! so they are new colors to me. But some of the coordinating In Colors from that year I am very familiar with - Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry and Soft Suede !! So I thought to pair these 5 colors together again would be a fun place to start ! And I can see why these colors were put together initially - they look SO great together !! Vibrant and fun. I decided to use 2 new sets  - Label Love and Really Good Greetings, along with my faithful Papillon Potpourri. I really love what I came up with !! Take a look !!

Isn't that so cute !?! First, I prepared my sentiment piece. Since I don't have any of the new colors markers yet, I had to stick to my Soft Suede, Rich Razzleberry and Melon Mambo. I coloured this fun staying with my markers, and stamped it onto some Whisper White. I die cut it out with my Ovals Collection framelits, as well as a layer in the Bermuda Bay. I paper pierced the Bermuda Bay oval and adhered the stamped oval with some Dimensionals. I also popped a fun Crushed Curry star that I punched with the Merry Minis Punch Pack on the top, and glittered it up with some Dazzling Details. Fun !!

Next I stamped the fun label from Label love. Most of the stamps in the new set have sentiments, but I love the versatility of this frame image ! I stamped it in my 4 colors, and punched them out with the NEW matching Artisan Label Punch. I adhered them to the 4 corners of my Chevron embossed Whisper White layer measuring 4" x 5-1/4". I then stamped my favourite butterfly from the Papillon Potpourri set in the 4 colors as well, and punched it out with the Bitty Butterfly punch. I attached them to the middle of the "frame" with a Glue Dot and added a fun trio of Rhinestones to the middle. All of this was then added to a Soft Suede card base.

So thats my Sneak Peek for today !! If you want to have the new 2013-2014 Annual Catalogue (and don't already have a demonstrator), let me know and I will gladly send one out to you !! It is SO full of amazing products !! Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

Simple Swallowtail

Hey Stampers,

Happy Monday to you !! I hope all of you Momma's out there had a lovely Mother's Day ! We had a big family dinner out at a restaurant, so thats a plus !! No dishes !! Hahaha. Today, I am going to show you another item using the beautiful Swallowtail background stamp. Its such a beautiful image, that it really leans itself to both fancy and detailed cards, but also plain and simple projects. The card for today is one of the former - I can't see this card taking me any more than 5 minutes ! So a very quick card to make in a hurry, or to make a BUNCH of ! And of course, a one layer card is very easy to pop in the mail without worries that it will get destroyed on the way to its destination ! I really love the idea - take a look !!

I have CASEd this card from a card that Stampin' Up! did with it's Rising Stars this year. If you sell and promote a certain amount in your first year as a demonstrator, they call you a Rising Star and you get a trip and everything !!  They did a Make and Take of this fun card, and as soon as I saw it I thought it was so sweet. The color combo I used is Basic Gray, Pool PArty, Daffodil Delight and Lucky Limeade. I punched a Bitty Butterfly in each of my colors first. Then I took a Basic Gray card base and stamped the Swallowtail stamp right on it, also in Basic Gray ink. It just BARELY fits on tho the card ! I then took my sentiment from the Sweet Essentials stamp set, and stamped it with Jet Black StazOn ink. This sentiment could be switched up for pretty much any occasion. What a lovely birthday card this would make ! I then adhered my punched butterflies with some Glue Dots. I fluffed up their wings, and adhered 3 Basic Pearls I cut from the long strands in their middles. How easy and beautiful !!

Well thats my VERY quick card for today ! I really love it. And it would be great in any color combo ! Thanks a lot for coming by today, and Happy Stamping !!

Tea Shoppe Card Collection for Mother's Day

Hey Stampers,

Happy Mother's Day !! I hope all of you mothers have a wonderful day. My Mom is out visiting me for the weekend, and we have been baking and stamping - the perfect way to spend time as far as I'm concerned !! My mom really wishes she lived closer so I could help her with her Stamping, so when she does come out I always try to teach her a thing or two !! LOL The project I am showing you today is a really sweet card collection that I made for my Grandmother. My Aunt Sandra asked me to make them for her (to go along with the Beautiful Bouquet that I made here). My Grandmother LOVES tea, so I knew that the beautiful (and retiring) Tea Shoppe set paired with the Tea for Two DSP would be perfect ! I made 5 cards, matching envelopes and a belly band to hold them together. I am so pleased with the results !! Take a look for yourself !

Here is the compete package. Isn't that sweet ?? I took a piece of Early Espresso measuring 12" x 3-1/4" and adhered a piece of the Tea for Two DSP measuring 12" x 3" to it. I then scored it to fit around my card bundle. I tied a piece of the (retiring) 1/4" Pretty In Pink Stitched Grosgrain ribbon in a bow around it. I stamped the beautiful large tea cup in Lucky Limeade ink onto a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock, and cut it out with my Paper Snips. I tied a bow around the handle with some Linen Twine, so sweet ! I stamped one of the great sentiments from the set in Early Espresso ink onto a scrap of Very Vanilla and then punched it out with the Ticket Duo Punch. A couple pearls finished off the sentiment piece nicely. Now take a look at the cards !!

This one uses the lovely flower patterned paper. I cut it to 2" by 5-1/4" and adhered it onto my Very Vanilla card base. Some 3/8" Calypso Coral Ruffled Ribbon covers up the seam of where my DSP meets the card base. I stamped the 3 teacup stamps in Lucky Limeade, Crumb Cake and Calypso Coral inks across the top. The Just for You from the set is added at the bottom, punched out with the Modern Label Punch. I wanted something extra to add to my ribbon, so I used one of the Bronze Designer Buttons that was in the Holiday Mini tied with some Linen Thread. Cute !

This card uses the tea cups stamps again. I stacked them together it Lucky Limeade, Pretty In Pink, So Saffron and Calypso Coral inks. The 3/8" Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon is used here, love that beautiful bow !! All of my cards in this set the DSP measures 2" x 5-1/4" so they were very easy designs to put together.

I used my favourite stamp from the stamp set on this card, the lovely quote from Louisa May Alcott. I stamped it in Early Espresso ink and punched it out with the Curly Label Punch. I think its one of my favourite sentiments ever ! So lovely.

This card uses the beautiful BIG tea cup. I stamped it in Pretty In Pink ink onto some scrap Very Vanilla and fussy cut it out with my Paper Snips. One fun tip with this stamp, the wing from the Bird Punch fits in the handle PERFECTLY ! A great and easy way to punch it out. Love that !! I added a smattering of pearls to this great image, and again tied some Linen Tread around the handle. I also love how the 5/8" Victoria Crochet Trim looks with these colors and papers. So dainty !

Her's the LAST one. LOL I really love this pattern of paper from the pack. The color combo of So Saffron and Island Indigo is so lovely. But it would be hard for me to pick my favorite card of this collection !! They are so all beautiful.

That's my project for today !! I gave this package of lovely cards to my Grandmother last night and she LOVEd them. If you love them too, make sure you purchase the awesome Tea Shoppe stamp set and Tea for Two DSP before it's gone forever on June 3rd !! Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!
