Two Pocket Easter Treat Holder

Hey Stampers,

Happy Easter !! I hope the true meaning of this Holy day resonates with you and your family, at least in between some snacks of chocolate and jelly beans ! The Easter Bunny was very good to my son this morning ... he was so excited to see all those treats ! I am showing you some more treats today ! I made these Two pocket Treat Holders for my co-workers last week, and gave them out on Thursday. I made a Hallowe'en version of these in October and was one of my most popular blog posts ! You can see them here. The ones I made for Easter used the cute Happy You hostess set and some DSP from the Patterned Stacks. Take a look !!

Aren't they adorable !? I thought these cute springy images from the Happy You set would work great for Easter. I stamped them with Jet Black StazOn onto Whisper White cardstock and colored them with my ink pads and Blender Pens. My color combo is Regal Rose, Wisteria Wonder, Baja Breeze, Wild Wasabi and Daffodil Delight. Very colorful and spring like ! I punched out my images with the 1-1/4" Circle Punch, and then layered that onto a 1-3/8" Circle Punch. I then punched out some 1-3/4" Scalloped Circle Punches and adhered my stamped images with some Dimensionals. The Happy Easter sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and I punched it with the Word Window Punch. The punch was really too long for my liking, so I stuck the punch onto a little post it note and fed it back into the punch. With some careful lining up, I could then make my Word Window shorter ! A great way to make any word or phrase fit perfectly. Yay !

The treat pockets themselves are SO simple ! You just need a 6"x6" piece of paper and then you score it from corner to corner on your Simply Scored Diagonal Plate. Then rotate and score at 2" and turn upside down and score at 2" again (both of the scores at 2" should cross over the middle score). And thats IT !! Then fold your two corners in, and fold in half so you make 2 pockets, one in the front and one in the back !! I then used a regular hole hunch and punched at the top and used the 1/8" Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon to tie it closed, but you could also just use a staple or some Bakers Twine or something. LOVE IT !! They hold 2 Ghirardelli chocolate squares perfectly ... and who doesn't love those !?!

Well, thats my LAST Easter project for 2013 !! These would be perfect for any occasion though ... or even just as a sweet treat for a friend for no reason at all !! Thanks a lot for coming by today. Have a very Happy Easter and of course, Happy Stamping !!

Heart Framelits Easter Bunny !!

Hey Stampers,

How is everyone today ?? My mom is here, and when we are together we LOVE to bake ! So far this morning we have made 2 loaves of Irish Soda Bread with Molasses and Raisins and Carrot Cake !! Were taking a break now and then this afternoon we are going to make some Easter Shortbread Cookies ! Should be fun !  Not that we need to eat sweets but ... whatever. LOL My card I am shousing you today is the Easter card that I made for my son, Jackson. I wanted to try and create a bigger scale "punch art" bunny, so I decided to break out some of my framelits for bigger shapes ! I think he turned out so super adorable. Take a look and see if you agree !!

Isn't he SO cute ?!? I die cut his face from a Hearts Collection framelit and his body from the Ovals Collection framelit. His ears are the Scalloped Oval Punch (I liked how the scallops made his look fluffy haha). His nose and the inside of his ears was punched from the More Amore DSP; his ears are the Large Oval Punch that I trimmed a bit for a skinnier shape and his nose is the Small Heart punch where I trimmed off the top. His mouth is the 3/4" Circle Punch and his tongue is the 1/2" Circle Punch in Primrose Petals cardstock. And lastly, his eyes are the "sprinkles" from the Cupcake Punch. All of my paper pieces I sponged with Basic Gray ink before I assembled. I also used my Basic Gray Stampin' Write Marker to draw on his whiskers and my white Gel Pen for the little marks on his eyes. CA-UTE right ?!?! I thought he needed just a little something extra, so I created a Pool Party bow tie for him from the Pennant Parade stamp set and matching Petite Pennants punch. I trimmed the punched pennant a bit for a shorter tie, and stamped a 3rd image that I punched with my 1/2" Circle Punch for the knot in the middle. LOVE how that turned out !!

My sentiment is from the (surprise surprise) Wacky Wishes stamp set. I heat embossed it with Versamark Ink and White Stampin' Emboss Powder onto a 1" strip of Primrose Petals cardstock. I made banner ends on this piece, and then decorated with some Small Oval punched "easter eggs", also in the More Amore DSP. My main layer of Pool Party I embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, and everything was adhered to a Basic Gray card base. Isn't that fun !?! I can't wait to see Jackson's reaction to this awesome card !! I better give it to him before I give him any chocolate then ... hahahahaha ...

Well thats my card for today !! I hope you liked it. Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

Cute Easter Bunny Punch Art Card

Hey Stampers,

Hope you are all having a nice relaxing Good Friday at home with your families ! My mom is planning on coming today, but we are having a snow storm !! So here's hoping she can make it. The easter card I am showing you today is one that I made with my Stamp Club Girls a couple weeks ago. I love this cute bunny, but its still classy enough to seem not childish. I love it ! I paired it with the Tea for Two DSP and the beautiful oval from the Designer Frames Embossing Folder set. Take a look at what I came up with !!

Isn't that sweet ?? That bunny is made with 3 different punches: the Small Oval Punch for his little bum, the 3/4" Circle Punch for his head and one of the small petals from the Blossom Petals Punch. First I sponged all my Very Vanilla pieces lightly with Crumb Cake; then I layered the bum onto the head with half a Dimensional, and the ears onto the head with Glue Dots. A little fold of one of the ears gives him a bit of personality, don't you think ?? And don't forget the Basic Pearl tail !! Sweet !! I took a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock and die cut it with one of the Oval Framelits. Then I embossed that piece with the Designer Frames folder. Some more Crumb Cake ink sponged all over, and a piece of Tea for Two DSP punched with the Extra Large Oval stuck in the middle really made my little bunny pop ! I love how perfect the Extra Large Oval Punch layers with this cute embossed frame, don't you ??

I chose this great pattern of DSP from the Tea for Two stack as well. These colors of Pretty In Pink, Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade and Bashful Blue look so soft and spring like to me ... perfect for Easter !! I cut the at 3-3/4" x 4-1/2" and then this was layered onto a piece of Lucky Limeade just 1/8" larger, for a very slim border. I sponged both of those pieces with Crumb Cake ink, as well as my Pretty In Pink card base. I wrapped a piece of 3/8" Island Indigo Ruffled Ribbon around my DSP layer and adhered it to my card base with some Dimensionals. A 3/4" piece of Very Vanilla got stamped with my sentiment from the Delightful Dozen stamp set in Island Indigo ink. I made a banner end on it with my 1" Square Punch, curled it with my Bone Folder, sponged it, and tucked it under my oval focal point with some Glue Dots. Cuteness !!

Well thats my card for today. I have TWO more Easter projects to show you, so make sure you come back tomorrow and Sunday !! Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

Easter Chick Treat Holder

Hey Stampers,

yet another Easter post today !! I still have a couple left, so I will be posting them tomorrow and Saturday. It seems like Easter this year snuck up on me ... I don't really like it so much when its in March - not very spring like at ALL here where I live !! My project today is a SUPER adorable treat holder that I made using the Ovals Collection Framelits and some punch art ! I got the idea for the holder from the super talented Angie Kennedy-Juda. You can find her video on how to make it right here if your interested. But its super easy ! Take a look !

Cute, right ? I am LOVING these !! I am going to put them on my Easter table like little place card holders. The holder itself uses the largest Oval Framelit, the scalloped one, and I cut it out of Lucky Limeade cardstock. I scored the oval on my Simply Scored tool at 2-1/8" & 3" on the long side. Then the next size down oval I cut out this great Daffodil Delight and Whisper White chevron pattern from the Parker's Patterns DSP. That patten looks just like an Easter Egg to me !! I adhered my ovals together and then folded on my score lines. I stamped the funky sentiment from Wacky Wishes in Lucky Limeade ink right above my score line off to the left hand side. I punched the top of my holder with a basic 1/8" hole punch (non SU) and tied a knot in the 1/8" Pumpkin Pie Taffeta Ribbon. So cute !

Next its time for my chick !! The colors I used here are Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie. I needed a Daffodil Delight 1-3/4" Circle along with 2 wings from the Bird Punch. In Pumpkin Pie I needed the largest flower from the Boho Blossoms punch, a Modern Label punch and a tiny strip about 1/4" wide x 2" long. I cut my Boho Blossom so I had 3 little points, and adhered it to the back of the chick's body to act like the little feathers on its head. I used Tombo Mono Glue to adhere all of these small pieces. Then my Modern Label was cut in half, and I tapered in the sides to look mote like little birdy feet. Adorable !! I folded my little strip in half and cut out a triangle for his beak. Then I adhered the wings with Dimensionals, added 2 little eyes with my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker and he was all done !! A couple of Dimensionals popped him off of the holder. I just love how adorable this turned out !! I put a half size Kit Kat bar in side (this hold a nice sized treat) and now they are ready for my Easter dinner table !! Love it !!

Well, thats mu cute Easter treat today. They are so quick to make and you be easy to do for any occasion !! Thanks a lot for stopping by today and Happy Stamping !!

Masked Easter Cards x 2

Hey Stampers,

As promised, I am showing you another cute Easter project today !! Actually, today I am showing you two - both using the same layout and color combo !! I think its so cool to see how different the "same" card can look when you use different stamp sets !! The color combo I used today just screams Spring and Easter to me - Regal Rose, Pool Party, Daffodil Delight and Lucky Limeade. Very soft and beautiful. Take a look !!

Isn't that just lovely ?!? And its is only a one layer card ! My Whisper White piece of cardstock measures 4" x 5-1/4", and I reserved 1-1/4" in the middle for my sentiment, and then used a 4"x6" Post-it Note for my masking. Masking is when you cover up an area and then stamp - when you peel off your mask you have clean paper underneath ! Great for creating the illusion of layers. I colored the beautiful Rose image from the Oh, Hello stamp set with my markers, and just stamped away. After I pulled off my sticky note, I used my Simply Scored tool to create those embossed lines. Very easy and classy ! My sentiment comes from the Delightful Dozen stamp set, and I stamped it in Regal Rose. A couple of sweet butterflies in Daffodil Delight and Pool PArty from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set were then stamped and punched out using the Bitty Butterfly Punch. Then my stamped layer was adhered to a Regal Rose card base. very easy ! And I love the simplicity of this card.

And here is card #2 !! See how different it looks !?!? This one seems so funky and modern to me ... Just with changing up the stamps !! The Betsy's Blossoms stamp set paired with the Wacky Wishes Hostess set and a different butterfly image really creates a totally different style !! This card would be great for kids or anyone young at heart. Also, the butterfly stamp I used here is actually the bigger image which is supposed to match the Elegant Butterfly punch, but the Bitty Bitterly fits inside it perfectly as well !! Yay !! Love that.

Well, those are my Easter cards for today !! I hope you liked them. I still have a few more Easter things to squeeze in this week, so come back soon !! Thanks a lot for stopping by and Happy Stamping !!

Cousins Cutesy Owl Layout

Hey Stampers !

Even though you all know me as a card/fun little treat maker, the reason I got into paper crafting 9and then stamping) in the first place was because of scrapbooking. When my son was born, I really wanted to scrapbook all of those fun firsts and beautiful baby pictures, instead of just taking pictures and having them just sit on my computer. So scrapbooking was my first crafting love. I am one of those lucky (and rare) scrapbookers that are UP TO DATE on all of their layouts !! Can you imagine ?? I guess thats what comes from being lucky enough to have started my hobby at around the same time as my son was born. LOL I am anxiously waiting some Easter pictures so I can do another layout ! The beautiful page I am showing you today, is using pictures from this summer of when my nephew was born. Jackson loves "the baby" and its easy to see from these cute pictures, right ?? Take a look !!

Isn't that sweet ?? You might recognize those adorable owls from one of my most popular blog posts, the Cutesy Owl Valentine. The larger one was made with Marina Mist and Bashful Blue (and is the same sized one from the link above) and the small one is made with Not Quite Navy and Baja Breeze. I made the small one in pretty much the same way; just using the 1-3/4" Circle Punch for the body. My little hearts are the Small Heart Punch and the heart from the Owl Builder Punch. I really love these sweet owls !! I also embossed their little bodies with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder, love that yummy texture !! They are sitting on a little "bush" of Wild Wasabi cardstock that I ripped along the edges for a more leafy texture. Cute !!

My background layer is a 11-3/4" square piece of Bashful Blue that I sponged to look like clouds using my Whisper White Craft Ink. I sponged around a punched out 2-3/8" Scallop Circle for the fluffy cloud look. This was layered onto a piece of 12x12 Soft Suede. My stripe along the side is some Wild Wasabi striped DSP from the Subtles Patterns DSP Stack and I tucked some Soft Suede scalloped die cuts from the Tasteful Trims Die on either side. My title was made using the Notable Alphabet stamp set in Marina Mist and Wild Wasabi ink, layered with some of the same colors of cardstock and then a Soft Suede Apothecary Accents die cut (that I embossed with the Square Lattice Folder) was put behind that to make it really pop. I also layered my pictures with the Marina Mist and Soft Suede. Beautiful !!

Well, thats my project for today ! I hope you liked my fun little boys scrapbook page. This layout is really easy to duplicate for girls too, just change up the colors !! Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

Bloomin' Marvellous Vines

Hey Stampers !!

Well, its here. The LAST day of Saleabration 2013 !! I have one final project to show you using these awesome (and might I add FREE) products !! And this card is FULL of them ! I used the Bloomin' Marvellous stamp set, the Sycamore Street DSP and Ribbon and the Vine Street embossing folder, all items you can earn for free ... and today is the last day you can !! I think this little card is super cute, and if you haven't earned some of these products yet - do it today !! Have a look at my fun card ...

Isn't that so fun and colorful !?! This card is smaller than a regular A2 size, the finished measurement is 4-1/4" high by 4-3/4" long. It started off as a standard A2, but my design only filled up that much space, so I cropped off one side of my Sahara Sand card base so it would look just how I had pictured. LOL I wanted to duplicate those awesome embossed Vines (and the vine from the DSP) so I ended up embossing a bunch of scraps - Island Indigo, Tangerine Tango, Rich Razzleberry and Pool Party. Each of these strips ended up measuring about 15/16" wide by 4" high, but I just trimmed them after I embossed them instead of measuring. Hahaha I also cropped out the cute DSP vine, where I got my color combo in the first place. ALL of my vines were adhered straight onto my card base with Snail making this super fun textured rainbow pattern. Love it !!

My stamped images are all from the Bloomin' Marvellous stamp set. My 2 butterflies (one in Rich Razzleberry and one in Pool Party) were also punched out with the Bitty Butterfly Punch. My sentiment, which was stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink as well) was punched out with the Curly Label Punch, and then layered with another Curly Label Punch of Island Indigo cut in half. A little scrap of the 1/4" Pool Party Sycamore Street Ribbon peeks out from behind my sentiment piece, love that fun ribbon !! The flower and leaf images from the Bloomin' Marvellous stamp set were inked in Tangerine Tango and Sahara Sand ink and then i fussy cut them out with my Paper Snips. A smattering of Rhinestones and this colorful card was finished !!

Well thats my final SAB 2013 project ! I think all of the products this year were just fabulous, and I hope you got to earn some for yourself !! Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

Celebrate with Feeling Sentimental

Hey Stampers !

I am trying to fit in a couple more awesome SAB projects before its all over on Friday !! Todays card is SO quick to make, but the stamps itself are so beautiful, it still packs an pretty punch !! The stamp set I used is the Feeling Sentimental set, which I just LOVE. I also used one of my favorite color combos of Summer Starfruit, Midnight Muse and Soft Suede. LOVE this rich color palate, don't you ?? Take a look !!

Isn't that quick and easy ?? And it would be great for a masculine birthday card. First I stamped the beautiful ferris wheel image in Midnight Muse ink onto a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock. I then ripped all around the edges for a distressed look, and then sponged the piece with both Summer Starfruit ink and Soft Suede ink. Love how the Summer Starfruit makes the paper looked really aged. I then cut a banner in some DSP from the Comfort Cafe pack. This simple Very Vanilla and Summer Starfruit pattern can read either masculine or feminine, so it makes the card really versatile. I then layered the banner onto a piece of Midnight Muse cardstock, for a bit more dimension and color. All of those pieces were sponged with Soft Suede ink as well. My card base is a piece of Soft Suede, measuring 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and folded in half. I sponged it with Soft Suede ink and stamped my sentiment in the corner with Midnight Muse ink. I love how crisp the Midnight Muse looks against the Soft Suede !! I tested the stamp on a scrap first, and was SO pleased with how well the color shows up on the dark cardstock !! My final touch for a bit of semi-bling is a Gold Brad from the Metallics Collection. I don't use Gold very often, but it added the perfect look for this card I think !! Love it !!

Well, thats my quick card for today !! If you love this stamp set (like I do) make sure to get it before its gone !! Friday is the very last day for Saleabration 2013, so get your $60 order in now !! Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

Oh, Hello on Sycamore Street

Hey Stampers,

Well, as much as my card today will make you think of a lovely spring day, it is officially WINTER again here ! Sheila's Brush has come to Newfoundland (an old weather legend foretelling bad weather around St Patrick's Day ... which seems to always come true!) and there is lots of snow again ... But at least we an be content knowing it cant stay very long ! My lovely card today is one my club girls will be making tomorrow night !! It uses the (only a few days left) Sycamore Street DSP from Saleabration and the Oh, Hello stamp set ... Love both of these products !! Take a look !!

This is a VERY different card for me. Lots of little fun elements kind of thrown together, but I think it turned out great ! My card base is a piece of 4-1/4" x 11" piece of Sahara Sand cardstock, scored in the middle. I picked this gorgeous pattern of the Sycamore Street DSP and cut it at 2-1/2" x 4" and adhered it towards the bottom of the card. A 1-3/4" x 5" piece of Pool PArty was embossed with the Chevron Embossing Folder and then wrapped with a piece of the Sycamore Street 1/4" Island Indigo Ribbon. Another great SAB item !! Then it was time for some stamping !! I stamped the big chevron oval image from the Oh, Hello stamp set in Summer Starfruit ink onto Whisper White cardstock. I then die cut it with the Ovals Collection framelits. The oh, hello sentiment stamp was inked up with Island Indigo ink, stamped onto Whisper White and punched out with the Decorative Label Punch. I coloured the beautiful rose with my Tangerine Tango and Lucky Limeade markers and cut it out with my Paper Snips. A couple Glue Dots and a tiny drop of Tombo Mono Multi Glue on the stem attached this to my sentiment piece. After I layered my die cut pieces, I decorated with a 2011 Printed Designer Brad, a Sycamore Street Button and a bunch of Rhinestones. Beautiful !

Here is a shot of what I did to the INSIDE of the card !! The Oh, Hello stamp set is so full of great images, I needed to use a couple more. I stamped the patterned chevron stamp down the side of my layer with Tangerine Tango, Island Indigo, Summer Starfruit, Lucky Limeade and Pool PArty inks and then did my sentiment in Tangerine Tango as well. Really makes for a WOW on the inside, don't you think !?!? Love it !!

Well, thats one of my projects for my Stamp Club this month !! Don't you wish you were making one too !! I would love for you to join us !! Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

Patterned Occasions & Sycamore Street Gift Cards & Holder

Hey Stampers,

Happy Monday !! I cant believe that Saleabration 2013 will be over in only 4 days !! So if you still haven't taken part, run on over to my online store (link on the right) and with an order of $60, you can get something FREE !! Gotta love that !! The project I am shoeing you today was my hostess gift for LAST month, and I am totally not on the ball cause I haven't shown it to you yet. Its a cute not card set with a little holder !! I used all SAB products, so if you like them get them now before their gone !! Take a look !!

Isn't that cute !?! I saw the idea for this sweet Criss-Cross box on YouTube. it was made by the talented Tanya Bell in Australia !! Her post about it is here and the video showing you how to make the box is over here !! I used a 12" piece of Sahara Sand for the box and then decorate it with the Sycamore Street DSP,  ribbons and buttons. The cute butterflies are from the Bloomin' Marvellous set (also SAB) and then punched with the Bitty Butterfly Punch. I pulled all my colors from the DSP; Sahara Sand, Pool Party, Island Indigo, Tangerine Tango, Rich Razzleberry and Summer Starfruit. A very fun combo !! Now, lets look at the fun cards I out inside !

I made 5 3"x3" cards to go in this box. I cut some Whisper White at 6" x 3" and scored it in the middle to make my little note cards. Then a 2-7/8" square piece of the Sycamore Street DSP (in 5 different patterns) was adhered to the front. I used the Patterned Occasions stamp set for my 5 different cards. I coloured the images using my Stampin' Write Markers and punched each image out with the Decorative Label Punch. Easy and quick !! That Decorative Label Punch is probably one of my most used, so many stamped images fit inside !! See above the BandAid image and the Elephant image ...

Here is the sweet Mug and the Cupcake ...

And lastly, the adorable Jeans with another shot of the little box ... Love it !!

Well, thats my project for today !! I have a couple more SAB projects to show you for this week ... and don't forget !! Saleabration ends on March 22nd !! So get your free stuff while you still can !! Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

Retirement Rewind #8: Everyday Enchantment DSP

Hey Stampers,

Happy Friday !! And it is time for another edition of my Retirement Rewind Series !! This one is #8 and focuses on the FABULOUS DSP from last year's Saleabration, Everyday Enchantment. These papers were a HUGE hit last year ... I loved them and everyone else I know did too !! Such beautiful colors and patterns, super vintage and fun. I also got to dust of a couple of my favorite retired In Colors, Peach Parfait and Poppy Parade ! I was scanning the inter-webs and found the inspiration for this beautiful card trio over on Victoria's blog - www.bluejellystampin.blogspot.com. Her post was from LAST March, but I loved her design so I CASEd it !! I paired the beautiful DSP with the Beautiful Wings embosslit and love what came together !! Take a look ...

Aren't they stunning ?? And so quick and easy. This would be a great layout to duplicate with any DSP pack and even some butterfly or flower punches !! And my elegant sentiment is also from an item from last year's SAB, Elementary Elegance. But any sentiment would fit in well here !! Birthday, thank you, thinking of you ... The possibilities are endless ! Now lets take a closer look at the cards !

Here is the Peach Parfait one. My standard Whisper White card base was embossed on the bottom half with the Finial Press embossing folder (also retired) and then a 2-1/2"by 4-1/4" strip of the DSP was layered on a Peach Parfait piece of cardstock (1/4" wider) and adhered to the card. The sentiment was stamped in peach Parfait ink, and then some Peach Parfait butterflies (with some blingy Rhinestones) finished it off. So simple !!

Here is the Poppy Parade version. The only difference here other than the colors, is that I used the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder for this card base. Doesn't that Poppy Parade just POP ?!?! I really miss this color and would LOVE to see it return ! And this pattern of the DSP was my favorite from this pack. Love that gorgeous pattern !

And lastly, the Pool Party card. Here I used the Lacy Brocade embossing folder. Love that delicious texture !!

Well, thats the cards for today !! One lucky lady at my March Stamp Club next week will get these cards along with some of this great DSP as a door prize ! Wouldn't you like to join us ?? Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

Betsy's Butterfly - Fab Fri 13

Hey Stampers,

Happy Thursday ! My card today is inspired by the cute sketch over at Fab Friday. This sketch is SUPER fun, and my take on it is pretty true to it (I think). I used the Betsy's Blossoms stamp set, the Floral District DSP and my much loved Beautiful Butterflies die ! Take a look at what I came up with !!

Cute, right ?? Since they used a butterfly in the sketch, I couldn't get out of my head the idea of using my Beautiful Butterflies die. So I thought it would be great to stamp the butterflies with a background stamp, but looking at my stamp stash (or more like a mountain of stamps) I spied the awesome large flower stamp from Betsy's Blossoms and thought that would look great !! And then I remembered there was a great DSP pattern from Floral District that used that image, so that was where I got my color combo of Daffodil Delight, Lucky Limeade and Rich Razzleberry. With those elements all lined up, this card cake together pretty quickly !! First I die cut a large butterfly from the die in Daffodil Delight and then stamped the flower image all over it, also in Daffodil Delight ink. Then a smaller butterfly was cut out in Whisper White and stamped with the same image in Rich Razzleberry ink. A Boho Blossom in Rich Razzleberry paired with a Lucky Limeade Printed Brad made a fun centre for this butterfly element. I adhered them together using a dimensionals, so they would be nice and popped up. This was then attached to a oval die cut from the Ovals Collections Framelits that I embossed with the Honeycomb folder.

A banner of the Floral District DSP was put on a layer of Rich Razzleberry measuring 4" x 5-1/4". I stamped the little sentiment from the Friendly Phrases stamp set in Lucky Limeade ink and then die cut it using the cute banner framelit from the Hearts a Flutter Collection. I stuck that one on top of the DSP banner, tucked under the Oval die cut. This was all attached to a Daffodil Delight card base. Love it !!

I really had fun playing along at Fab Friday this week. I just love playing with challenges !! Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

That's The Ticket Birthday

Hey Stampers,

Sorry I have been away so long !! I know its only been 4 days, but that seems like a while between posts !! LOL I just love my blog (and my followers) and I miss you guys when I'm away. I was in "town" visiting my mother and doing some shopping, so I couldn't do a post. But Im back and ready to share a SUPER cute card with you today !! The quick, easy and FUN card for today I semi-CASEd from Heather Heroldt, a fellow demo. I saw her cute version of this card over on Stampin' Connection the demo only database that is SUCH a great wealth of information and inspiration !! As soon as I saw her sweet card, I knew I had to make one too !! I love the fun rainbow of colors, and the simple design. Take a look !!

Isn't that adorable !?! And so quick !! I used the FAB new stamp set "That's The Ticket" from the Spring Catty for the cute Happy Birthday tickets. I stamped them in Rich Razzleberry, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight, Gumball Green, Tangerine Tango and Real Red onto some scrap Whisper White cardstock. Then I used the co-ordinating Ticket Duo Punch to pop them out. I layered them across a layer of Crumb Cake cardstock (measuring 4" x 5-1/4") using some Dimensionals and just trimmed any edges that were too long. I really love these colors together ... just like a rainbow !! My sentiment is from the Sweet Essentials stamp set, and I stamped it in Early Espresso ink. Probably the hardest part of this card was deciding which color of ribbon I wanted to use !! I finally decided on the bright Daffodil Delight 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain, and wrapped that around my layer and topped it off with a bow. This was all adhered to a Crumb Cake card base with some dimensionals. And that was it !! It took me no more than a few minutes, and I LOVE the results !! I can see me using all of the different stamps from this fun set to create a bunch of cards using this layout - and changing the colors up would be another fun twist !! This set has a Christmas ticket, baby, Hallowe'en ... lots of great occasions !! Love it !!

Well thats my card for today !! I hope it "brightened" up your day !! Have a great one and Happy Stamping !!

Stylin' Snowfolk with Love

Hey Stampers,

Happy Friday !! It is soon the start of the weekend, and even though I have to work tomorrow, I am excited because I am going to St John's tomorrow evening !! We are leaving when I get off work at 5 pm and then doing some shopping and running around on Sunday and Monday morning before we come home !! Yay !! That means I get to go to Costco, which is my fav store ever. LOL We have been looking at the weather for driving and all that, and it seems like its going to be nice ... sunny or just clear but still -2. So yes, it is STILL officially winter ! Since it is, I made a cute card yesterday using a brand new stamp set (to me anyways) Stylin' Snowfolk !! As soon as I saw this cute set in the Annual Catalogue last June, I knew I HAD to have it !! You know me and my love affair with snowmen. But for some reason, I only just got it in February !! For shame. And yesterday was the first time  I inked it up ! Its such a fun set ... take a look at what I came up with !!

Isn't she the cutest snow lady ever !?!? I also used the brand new Sent With Love DSP (available until April 30th), so thats where I got my color combo of Island Indigo, Pool Party, Calypso Coral and Real Red. There is also a matching stamp set for this fun DSP, and you will see me use that soon as well. The most fun thing about this Stylin' Snowfolk set is that there are so many different parts to build your own custom snow person !! Its so fun. So I inked up the snowman body in Island Indigo ink, along with the little stick arms, the cute eyes and the smile. Then I added the Calypso Coral carrot nose and fussy cut it out. Then I stamped the rest of my pieces on some scrap Whisper White and fussy cut them as well: the scarf in Real Red, the mittens in Pool Party, and the cute hat in both Pool Party and Real Red for the flower. They were all added to my lady with Glue Dots. Cute !! I then took a piece of Whisper White measuring 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" and stamped the "thinking of you" from the Sweet Essentials  stamp set in Real Red ink and the cute snowflake (also from Stylin' Snowfolk) in Pool Party ink. This got layered onto a piece of Island Indigo cardstock only 1/8" larger and then the snow lady was adhered with some Dimensionals. Cute !!

My card base is a piece of Calypso Coral and I wanted to go for a bunch of different sized pieces of Sent With Love DSP to fill around my stamped image. I picked these 4 fun patterns from that fun DSP, and I think they look so cute together !! The pieces on the top and bottom of the snow lady are 7/8" wide by 3-5/8" long, the long piece on the left is 1-1/4" wide by 4" long and the small square is 1-1/4" square. I just adhered them down with Snail, but popped the stamped panel up with Dimensionals. I then added some Calypso Coral Bakers Twine wrapped around a few times and a little bow. Cuteness !!

Well thats my fun card for today ! Bright and cheerful but also a bit wintery. I really love this stamp set and can't wait to make some more fun things with it !! I hope you liked it too !! Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

Take Care, Baby - FM99

Hey Stampers,

Well, you guessed it. Yes ANOTHER challenge card !! I am officially addicted. LOL. Today's inspiration comes from the fun challenge over on The Friday Mashup ! Their mash up this week is to make a baby card, use the color combo of So Saffron, Pool Party and Real Red or to do both !! I decided to do both. Here is the super fun card I came up with !!

Sweet, right ?? I had the fun idea that this Take Care stamp set would go really well for a baby card. Like, waiting for the "eggs to hatch" or something ?? Hahaha. I think its funny and cute. They also said you could pick a neutral to go with the color combo, so I went with Soft Suede. I really like this combo together !! And its perfect for a baby shower or something where they don't know the sex of the baby ... nice and unisex. I stamped the tree branch in Soft Suede ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock and then fussy cut it out. I left a VERY thin border around the edge of the image, which made it a bit tricky around those leaves ... but I LOVE how it turned out ! I then stamped the eggs in Pool Party and the nest in So Saffron, and then fussy cut them out as well. I then crumpled up the nest a bit to give it a more 3D effect, and stuck the little eggs inside with a Dimensional. My little banner with the sentiment is a piece of Very Vanilla about 1" wide. I stamped this great sentiment from the Friendly Phrases stamp set with my Soft Suede and Real Red markers. A little knot of the 1/8" Real Red Taffeta Ribbon on this banner really adds a cute touch.

My background layer for this card is a piece of Pool Party measuring 3-3/4" x 5" that I ran through my Big Shot with the Cloudy Day embossing folder. I then sponged the tips of the clouds with my Whisper White Craft ink so they would look a big white! I think its the perfect soft touch. This was then layered onto a piece of Real Red measuring 4" x 5-1/4", and these layers were adhered to a Soft Suede card base with some Dimensionals ... Awesome !! I still felt there needed to be a touch more So Saffron, so a couple of sweet little flowers on the branch did the trick ! The uber versatile scallop from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack made my little flowers, and a tiny Pearl in the centre made them really pop. Love it !!

Well, thats my Mashed Up card today !! I love how it turned out ... won't you play along with us over on The Friday Mashup too ?? Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

Carry On, Cupcake !!

Hey Stampers,

I am sharing a very quick and easy card with you today !! I made this card for a friends birthday last month, and it has been waiting patiently on my computer for me to show you !! It uses the beyond fun Carry On hostess set (the clock is ticking on this great set !! Get it before it retires in a couple months !!) and I paired it with the Patio Party DSP ... take a look !!

Isn't that sweet ?? (Pun intended). Very quick and simple, and you could make a bunch of these quickly and for minimal products! I took a piece of Whisper White cardstock measuring 4" x 5-1/4" and stamped the fun sentiments in Midnight Muse ink. I mounted both of the stamps (the "keep calm and" and the "eat a cupcake") onto the same block, and stamped them together. Very simple !! Then I stamped the cute cupcake from this set in Baja Breeze, Primrose petals and Summer Starfruit in-between them. Love that fun look !! Colorful, but very clean and simple. Then I took 2 strips of this great cupcake patterned DSP, and adhered a strip of Midnight Muse cardstock that I had punched with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch behind each piece, and adhered them on the edges of my Whisper White layer. Then I adhered the layer using some Dimensionals to a Primrose Petals card base.  3 sweet Rhinestones to the stamped cupcakes, and this card was ready to go !! Love it !!

Thanks a lot for coming by today !! I love having these quick and cute cards on hand to pop in the mail at a moments notice, and who doesn't need a birthday card in a hurry every now and then ?!? This is a great simple layout to showcase all kinds of stamps and DSP as well. Don't you think ?? I hope you liked my card today ! See you soon and Happy Stamping !!

Cherry Birthday - CCMC241

Hey Stampers,

Happy Monday !! Hope you had a great weekend !! I had a great one ... lots of time stamping and having fun with my hubby and little boy. I got to play along with a BUNCH of challenges this weekend too !! So expect to see them this week. My card today was inspired by the fun sketch of at Create with Connie and Mary. It's a super cute and easy sketch, and I love how versatile it is !! I decided on a bright and cheerful birthday card using the Perfectly Preserved stamp set and the great A Word for You sentiment stamp set. I really think its a cute card !! Take a look !!

Isn't that fun !? I had the idea first because of the "cherry on top" sentiment and these cute cherries from the Perfectly Preserved set. I used my Lucky Limeade and Real Red markers to ink up the cherries and stamped them on Whisper White 4 times. I then took my 1" Square Punch and punched it out at different angles so each square would look a little different. I then layered those onto Island Indigo pieces that I punched out with my Postage Stamp Punch. I layered these fun pieces onto a strip of Whisper White measuring 2-1/2" x 5-1/2" that I embossed with the Chevron embossing folder. This was then layered onto a 3" x 5-1/2" strip of Summer Smooches DSP. Love that fun pattern !! I piece of the 1/8" Real Red Taffeta Ribbon tied in a knot really finishes off this fun layered panel.

For my sentiment, I took my Lucky Limeade card base, and did some heat embossing !! I used my Versamark ink and White embossing powder and heat set this fun sentiment. I then took a scrap of the Red Glimmer Paper and punched out 2 cherries from the Cupcake Punch and adhered them on using some Glue Dots. Very sparkly !! Fun !!

Well, thats my cute card for today !! Won't you play along with us over at Create with Connie and Mary ?? Thanks for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

Crop Circles March Blog Hop !!

Hey Stampers !!

Welcome to the first EVER Crop Circles Blog Hop !! And my first ever blog hop too !! Crop Circles is a group of ladies who share ideas and inspiration for all kids of fun paper crafting projects. We are mostly all Newfoundlanders, but there are some ladies from other places, but have links to our great Rock. LOL We thought it would be fun to have a blog hop and try to inspire lots of people (and each other). We don't really have a set theme for our hop, but we did use the fun March Challenge sketch from Sketch Book 365 so we could show you all the different ways a sketch could be interpreted. This is a scrapbook layout, not my regular post of a card or gift item, but I need to catch up on my scrapbooking (as do most scrappers I know LOL) so I was excited to do a layout !! You have until March 3rd to finish the "hop". For every comment you leave along the way, your name will be entered to win a fun Gift Bundle of Stampin' Up! products worth $50 !! So after you are finished here, keep going on around and spread the comment love !! And there are some other blog candy surprises along the way as well !!

You should have come from Rhea Skomorowski's blog before mine. If you didn't, no problem !! A list of all the participating blogs are below and just keep going around in a circle until you get back here again !! I hope you enjoy this fun blog hop !! Lets take a look at MY version of this fun sketch !!

Isn't that fun !! I actually didn't use a lot of Stampin' Up! products here (gasp!!), but that does mean I got to use a lot of stuff from my OTHER stash. The main inspiration for this page was (other than the adorable pic of my son) the super cute Walt Disney World 2012 patterned paper !! I received a Disney World 2012 scrapbook kit for Christmas, and I thought they would be the perfect papers to use for this layout ! This paper was double sided, one side had the fin Disney patterns and the backside was a coordinating solid color. Perfect ! I also used some Stampin' Up! Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo and Basic Black cardstock that co-ordinated really well. I was also really excited to use my Mickey Mouse Punch that I bought at Jo-Ann's down in Florida. Jo-Ann's in Florida is a PARADISE for Disney Junkies like me !! They have everything !! Hahaha Add in a few circl punches, star punches and some alphabet stickers and this scrapbook page was finished !! I think it turned out great !!

Well, thanks for coming by today !! I hope you play along with us and make something beautiful with this fun sketch !! You have until March 3rd to continue on our Hop as well !! So next, hop along to Michelle Marks !!
