Perfectly Preserved Thank You

Hey Stampers,

I know ... 2 days in a row !! Hahaha. I just have so many fun projects that I want to share with you !! LOL. Today's project is one that I have had waiting to post for a while ... I just love it SO much !! I cased the layout/idea from Penny Smiley over at Stamps 'N' Smiles. Thats for the inspiration Penny !! Her card uses lots of different colors, but the idea was so great I knew I needed to make my own version !! It uses one of my all time favourite stamp sets, Perfectly Preserved !! did you know that this great stamp set (and the matching framelits) were carrie dover from the Holiday Catalogue !?! So if you didn't get it then, you still can ! Yay !! Anyways, check out my fun card !!

Isn't that sweet !?! I had to use that beautiful More Amore DSP here ... that color combo of Primrose Petals, Pool party and Pretty In Pink is just SO delicious !! My first stem here was stamping my cute border along the side. I took a piece of Whisper White measuring 3-3/4" x 5" and stamped the little blossoms cluster stamp in Pretty In Pink ink a couple of times. Then I stamped it a few more times using VersaMark and embossed it with White Stampin' Emboss Powder. I love that look of the white flowers overlapping the pink ones, don't you ?? A very cool look. I then stamped 6 of the little flowers onto Primrose Petals cardstock with Primrose Petals ink. This was then cut out with the matching framelit from the Cannery Collection. The cute "just for you" banner from this set was stamped with Basic Gray ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock and die cut with the Bitty Banners framelits. I also die cut a Label Framelit in Pool Party cardstock, a scrap of the More Amore DSP with an Ovals Framelit. My Big Shot sure got a workout for this card !! Phew !! LOL The little "thank you" stamp is also from the Perfectly Preserved set, I stamped it in Primrose Petals ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock and punched with the Small Oval Punch. Now it was tome to assemble !!

I pierced my Pool Party Label using my Paper Piercer and the Festive Paper Piercing Pack (also carried over), and layered my DSP Oval on top. My little banner and sentiment were layered on top of THIS and a little knot of the 3/8" Primrose Petals Stitched Satin Ribbon really made this sentiment piece POP! I layered my Whisper White stamped layer onto a piece of Pool Party measuring 4" x 5-1/4" and then adhered that to a Whisper White card base with Dimensionals. Then my little die cut flowers were scattered on my stamped edge (adhered with dimensionals) and some Rhinestones were added to their centres. Love that little bit of sparkle !!

Well, thats the card for today !! Isn't it sweet !?! I love it. I hope you do too !! Thanks for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

Feel Good about Madison Avenue !!

Hey Stampers,

How are we today !?! I am having a bit of a own in the dumps day, so I thought I would post a fun and cheerful card to perk myself up a bit ! It uses the awesome Madison Avenue stamp set, Feel Goods stamp set and Sycamore Street DSP. Love all of these products so much ! I am taking this great quote as my mantra from here on out. She believed she could so she did !! Isn't that inspiring ?!!? Love it. And of course, using 2 SAB products that I earned for FREE is pretty great too !! Take a look at what I came up with !!

Cool right ?? Its different for me, but I like how it turned out. I pulled my color combo from this awesome DSP: Island Indigo, Summer Starfruit, Rich Razzleberry, Pool Party, Tangerine Tango and Sahara Sand. First I stamped the beautiful sentiment with Island Indigo ink onto a piece of Whisper White that was 1-1/2" wide. I made a banner end on it with my paper snips, and then added 3 strips of cardstock that I punched with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch; one each of Tangerine Tango, Rich Razzleberry and Pool Party. I like how it makes the Whisper White stamped piece stand out against my White layer. A fun Pool Party Printed Brad and this little piece was ready to go. I then had to bust out my Stamp-a-ma-jig, because this card has some pretty precise stamping.  First I stamped my border across the bottom of my Whisper White layer in Sahara Sand ink. The stamp isn't long enough, so my SAMJ was a great tool here !! I then put my stamped banner where I wanted it to go, and drew a light line with my pencil on the top so I knew where to line up my flowers. I then stamped the leaves image in Summer Starfruit, and stamped the flower on top (again using my trusty SAMJ) in Tangerine Tango, Pool Party and Rich Razzleberry. Aren't the super cute ? I stamped the middle leaf image lower than the other 2 to give the images some interest, and you cant see where it looks strange because its under the sentiment piece !

Next was time for some punches !! The 4 petal flower punch from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack really did some work on this card. I punched out 3 of them in Island Indigo to go in the middle of my flowers, and I fluffed then up with my fingers and added a sweet Rhinestone to the centre. Then I used the same punch to pop out 7 shaped with the fun multi coloured polka dot DSP. They were all added to my border at the bottom with Glue Dots. Very cute ! Then a couple of Bitty Butterflies were added, with some more Rhinestones. I love that sweet butterfly ! I could add that to everything. LOL

Well, thats my fun card today ! I hope it makes you happy like it does me !! Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

Oh, Whale - Friday Mashup #98

Hey Stampers,

So, I am SUPER sleepy this morning ... I stayed up late watching the Oscars ! Its one of my favourite nights of the year ! I loved so many of the movies this year, and my favs (Jennifer Lawrence, Anne Hathaway and Christoph Waltz) all won their categories !! So thats great. I think it was a good show too ... lot of singing, which I love. In other news, I am now totally addicted to crafting challenges ! My card today I made yesterday to send to my cousins new baby girl, and I used the great sketch over at The Friday Mashup. I am really loving this sketch! I used the Oh, Whale stamp set and the matching DSP, Sunshine and Sprinkles. Take a look at what I created !

Cute, right ?? I love all of these bright colors for a baby card. So often people stick to pastels, but I love these fun and funky colors !! My colors all came out of the great DSP, but the main ones I chose to use were Melon Mambo, Lucky Limeade and Marina Mist. I punched out my 2-1/2" Circle Punch of Whisper White BEFORE I stamped this time, just to be sure I grouped my images close enough. I stamped the whale in Marina Mist, the little waves in Pacific Point and my "letter jumble" with Lucky Limeade and Daffodil Delight markers. The little "whalecome" was also done in Lucky Limeade, and really goes so well with the "baby" from One In A Million. I inked up the "baby" with my Melon Mambo marker (I didn't want the brackets that were included in this image) and then punched it out with my trusty Ticket Duo Punch. I also stamped the cute little heart from the Oh, Whale set and cut it out with my Paper Snips. This was added with a dimensional to my whale. That was it for my stamping!

I used my Labels Collection Framelits to die cut the Melon Mambo patterned DSP, and also used the fun Striped pattern for my banner. I just LOVE this Sunshine and Sprinkles DSP !! It is so bright and cheerful, don't you think !?! My main layer is a piece of Lucky Limeade cut to 4" x 5-1/4" and embossed with the Vine Street embossing folder, which is one of the great items you can get for FREE with a $60 order during Saleabration ! If you love this folder, like I do, make sure to place your oder before March 22nd - after then it will be gone forever !! All of this was added to a Melon Mambo card base. A few Rhinestones, and my sketch (and card) was complete !!

In the picture, you can see that I decorated my envelope too !! So fun to do that, then the recipient REALLY knows they are in for a handmade treat !! I took the great striped DSP and covered the back flap, and stamped a few hearts on the bottom. Very quick, but packs a big punch !! Love it !!

Well, thats my card for today ! Won't you come over and play along with us at The Friday Mashup !? It's so fun !! Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

Feeling Sentimental "Hi"

Hey Stampers !!

How is everyone out there on this fine Saturday ?! I am working today, but looking forward to getting home and spending some quality time with my 2 boys ! We have been super busy this week, and Brian has been going to bed REALLY early (read - before Jackson goes to bed haha) so I am MAKING him stay up and hang out tonight !! LOL But, all of that no hubby time DOES give me some time to stamp !  The card I am showing you today uses another fun stamp set from Saleabration - Feeling Sentimental. I LOVE this stamp set !! I think it is so great for more masculine projects and also for that awesome vintage style that I LOVE. Well, this card is neither of those things !! Hahahaha I just wanted to test out a few new stamp sets, and all of a sudden it morphed into a card ! Also making an appearance here is the Morning Post stamp set. LOVE THAT SET! I cant wait to really use it a lot ! LOL So, here is what I created, sort of by accident. LOL

Isn't that cute !?! I am loving it. And of course, on of my fav color combos of Early Espresso, Crumb Cake and Summer Starfruit was used ... love those 3 colors together ! I stamped a piece of 3-3/4" x 5" Crumb Cake with Early Espresso ink and the supper awesome Phone Booth stamp. Lots of people are saying this looks like the Tardis from the TV show Dr Who ... but I don't watch it, so I wouldn't know about that. I see just those great phone booths from England !! I cant wait to make a great card with this stamp in RED like its supposed to be ! LOL Next, I stamped the H and I from Morning Post in Summer Starfruit ink onto Very Vanilla and punched them out with the Postage Stamp Punch. Then I cut out 2 Early Espresso squares to layer behind the punches. Looking through my stash of DSP scraps I choose the First Edition DSP and this fun Summer Starfruit polka dot from the Patio Party papers. I cut a couple of banners, as well as some pieces of the 1/4" Early Espresso Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon and layered it behind my "Hi". This was then adhered with Dimensionals to my Crumb Cake layer. This was then layered onto a piece of Summer Starfruit and an Early Espresso card base. Easy and beautiful, in my honest opinion !! LOL

Well, thats my card for today ... Thanks a lot for coming by, have a great weekend and Happy Stamping !!

Oh, Hello - Mojo Monday #281

Hey Stampers,

Happy Friday !! I am working tomorrow, but even though I don't have a real "weekend" off, there is always something special about Fridays, isn't there ?? I was off yesterday, so i got to do some fun stamping projects !! I am trying to do some more challenges, so my card today was inspired by this weeks Mojo Monday sketch !! I really like this fun layout ... won't you play along too !? I decided to use my Oh, Hello stamp set and the Tea For Two DSP; both from the Spring Catalogue. I haven't got the chance to play with these two items nearly enough yet ! I like how my card turned out though !! What do you think !?!

Cute right ?? Here is the original sketch from Mojo Monday that I used as inspiration ... It was designed by one of my FAV EVER bloggers, Mary Fish !!

Its a beautiful clean and simple sketch, really easy to use !! I used my 2-1/2" Circle Punch to crop out 3 circles, all from the Tea For Two DSP. I stuck to a color combo of Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade, So Saffron and Very Vanilla for this card, so I chose the Calypso Coral polka dots and Lucky Limeade diamonds patterns for 2 of my DSP's, and I also used the newspaper print pattern, so I could stamp on it. I took the sweet rose stamp, and inked it up with my Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade markers and stamped 2 flowers on it. Looks great ! I just love the look of stamping images on printed paper like that !! Next I took a scrap of Very Vanilla and stamped the big zig-zag oval stamp in So Saffron. The "Oh Hello" sentiment in Early Espresso was stamped on top of that and then punched out with the 1-3/4" Circle. I also embossed a 1-3/4" Circle of Lucky Limeade with the Honeycomb embossing folder. A couple of DSP Small Heart punches fit in those little hexagons perfectly !

My main Very Vanilla layer was stamped with the stitched chevron stamp in Early Espresso ink. I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to line these this image up, its not necessary but I just couldn't get my eyes to work right to line it up manually LOL. I then arranged all of my circles onto it, using dimensionals to adhere the "oh hello" circle and one of the Small Hearts. Some 3/8" So Saffron Taffeta Ribbon was the perfect touch to complete the sketch, the stamps and papers I used just screamed out for a bow !! Hahaha. Then I adhered my layer onto a Lucky Limeade car base. I really think this card turned out nicely ! And the Oh Hello sentiment lends itself to so many different occasions, just change the sentiment on the inside. Great for a birthday ... thinking of you ... thank you ... lots of things !!

I hope you liked my card today !! Why don't you join us over on the Mojo Monday challenge !! Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

Patterned Occasions Valentine

Hey Stampers,

OK ... I PROMISE that this is my last Valentine !! Hahaha. Actually,  this card doesn't SCREAM valentine, its more of a general cute-i love you card ... LOL. Its on that I made for my hubby ! I used the super cute Saleabration set, Patterned Occasions. I LOVE this cute set !! And, the fact that I earned it for FREE makes it even better !! I used a sketch to help me create this card, the Mojo Monday sketch from week of February 11th. When you hit a bit of a roadblock in the creative department, using a sketch can REALLY get your juices flowing !! I totally recommend it ! Well, on to the card !!

What do you think !?! I am really pleased with how it turned out ! And like I said, its not your traditional Valentine look. I especially love the masculine color combo of Tangerine Tango, River Rock and Not Quite Navy. Very different colors for me, but I think they look so great together !! My card base here is a piece of River Rock measuring 4-1/4" x 11" that I scored in half to make a standard card. I then stamped it in River Rock ink with the Distressed Dots background stamp. LOVE that fun stamp !! Background stamps are a great way to add that something extra to a card, without being too distracting. Love them !! Next, I got my layer ready. A piece of the Sycamore Street DSP did the trick here, love the bold Tangerine Tango and Whisper White diagonal stripes. I cut it to 3" x 4" and then layered it on a piece of Tangerine Tango cardstock just an 1/8" of an inch larger, for a very slim border. I took a scrap of Not Quite Navy cardstock and die cut it with the Large Scallop Edgelit, used my Essentials paper Piercing kit to pierce a fun border, and adhered it to my layer. I trimmed it once it was adhered, so I could centre the scallops exactly where I wanted them to be. Did you know that the Essentials Paper Piercing Kit is another item you can earn for FREE with Saleabration !?! Love how SU gives us some fun options from the Annual Catalogue to earn as well !!

Next it was time for my main stamped image. I inked up the adorable Whole Latte Love mug with my markers, and stamped it on a scrap of Whisper White measuring 1-1/2"x 2-1/2". This got layered on a piece of Not Quite Navy 1/8" larger. The top and bottom of this piece was a little bare, so I added some Linen Thread including a little bow. Love how that great thread can be both shabby chic feminine AND masculine !! I added a diagonal strip of 3/8" Not Quite Navy Taffeta Ribbon before I attached my Mug image with dimensionals. Then a 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch in River Rock and a Small Heart Punch in Tangerine Tango finished off this sweet card. And, even though it is for a man ... a bit of glitter thanks to Dazzling Details on the heart was totally called for !! Hahaha

Well, thats my card for today !! My hubby loved it, and I hope you do too !! If you love this sweet Patterned Occasions stamp set, don't forget to place an order in my Online Store (link at the right) and earn it for free with you $60 order !! Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

Oh, Whale You Be Mine ??

Hey Stampers,

Good day ! Its the start of another week, but I am excited because I have Stamp Club tomorrow night !! I have one last thing to do to prep for it tonight, but other than that I am ready ! Can't wait !! I just love Stamp Club. It's the highlight of my month !! LOL The project I am showing you today isn't for Stamp CLub though. Its another Valentine that I hadn't showed you yet, but its not SUPER Valentine-y, it can be just a cute love card or whatever. I made it for my nephew using the adorable Oh, Whale stamp set (which I LOVE). Check it out !!

Could that BE any cuter ?!!?I just love this cute set and matching Clearlit die !! And my color combo of Tempting Turquoise, Pacific Point, Basic Gray and Real Red is so clean and fresh. First, I stamped the little whale with Basic Gray ink onto Whisper White and die cut him out with the matching Happy Whale Clearlit. So easy to do !! Next I used my Large Scallop Edgelit to die cut my "waves" out of Tempting Turquoise and Pacific Point striped DSP. Its just the scallop upside down !! Perfect waves, right ?? I adhered the Pacific Point waves straight onto my Whisper White layer, and then added the Tempting Turquoise ones with dimensionals. I stamped the hearts in Real Red ink, and then adhered my whale underneath them. I stamped my fun sentiment in Tempting Turquiose and then added the 1/4" Real Red Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon. This was all put on a Pacific Point card base. So quick and easy but I love the end result !!

I hope you liked my card today !! I think its so adorable. Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

Pretty Petite Pairs & Butterfly Card

Hey Stampers !!

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend so far !! My sweet hubby and I are redoing our son's bathroom (aka the main bathroom) this weekend, so the house is a bit of a mess. But I am SO excited about it !! We have new flooring, paint, faucets and decor ! It's going to be a super fun Mickey Mouse themed bath ... can't wait for it to be finished !! LOL Yesterday I held a really fun event at my church for the Moms and Tots group ! My son goes to the group, but where it is on Friday mornings I don't get to go (his babysitter takes him) so I was really pleased to get to see it in action ! They invited me to do a demo and make and take with the moms and we had a lot of fun !! They were all brand new to stamping, and I didn't have a ton of time, so I did 2 simple but beautiful projects ! Today I am going to show you the card they did. It was a big hit ! What do you think ??

Isn't that nice ?? I tried to make it as easy as possible, but still lovely. I got the idea for this design from an issue of Stampin' Success, our demonstrator only magazine. The DSP i used is from the Summer Smooches pack, love all of those bright colors !! The colors here are Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight, Lucky Limeade, Tangerine Tango and Island Indigo. I punched out a piece of each of those colors of cardstock with the Postage Stamp Punch and then layered a DSP 1" Circle on top. Quick and easy !! I then stamped my sentiment, from the Petite Pairs stamp set, in Early Espresso ink onto Whisper White cardstock and punched that out with the Postage Stamp Punch. I arranged all of my pieces onto a card base of Whisper White and adhered them with dimensionals. Love that easy layout !!

My next step was the butterflies. I used the Bitty Butterfly Punch to punch out 2 DSP butterflies and the Elegant Butterfly Punch to punch out an Island Indigo butterfly. I used Glue Dots to layer the small one onto the big one, and then attached that "double" butterfly in the top left corner with a dimensional. The other Bitty Butterfly was adhered onto my sentiment Postage Stamp, also with a Glue Dot. A couple of Rhinestones and this sweet card was complete !! I love how it turned out !!

Well, thats my card for today !! I hope you like it !! Thanks a lot for coming by and Happy Stamping !!

Henry Says "Happy Valentine's Day !!"

Hey Stampers,

Happy Valentine's Day !! Hope you get to share this day with your loved ones. When my little boy woke up this morning, he had a little treat left by Cupid (aka Mommy & Daddy) and with it was this sweet card !! I knew I wanted to use the ADORABLE Henry Says stamp set, so perfect for a little boy or girl, for his Valentine this year ... and I am really pleased with how it turned out !! What do you think ??

Isn't that too sweet ?? My color combo of Baja Breeze, So Saffron and Riding Hood Red is great for a fun Valentine for a boy. This card uses a TON of products from the Spring Catalogue too !! First, I stamped Henry in Jet Black StazOn ink onto some Baja Breeze striped DSP from the Subtles Patterns DSP Stack. I also stamped the fun hearts image from the Confetti stamp set all over him, also in Baja Breeze ink. He got fussy cut out with my Paper Snips, so fun !! Then I stamped the cute hearts from the Henry Says stamp set in Riding Hood Red ink and punched them out with my Large Oval Punch. A piece of Whisper White measuring 3-3/4" x 5" was then ran through the Cloudy Day embossing folder, and I sponged the tops of the clouds with Baja Breeze ink to really make them pop. Love how that turned out !! A 1" strip of So Saffron polka dot DSP was torn across the top and then adhered to the layer, something for Henry to sit on (he was added with some dimensionals, along with the hearts coming out of his trunk). The So Saffron piece was adhered to the cloudy layer, then to a layer of Baja Breeze and this was all put on a Riding Hood Red card base. So easy !!

My sentiment piece is from the That's The Ticket stamp set. I stamped the Valentine sentiment in Riding Hood Red, and then the plain ticket image in both Baja Breeze and So Saffron. I punched them all out with the Ticket Duo Punch, and suck them together using a Mini Silver Brad. Then I added it to my card using a dimensional. The fun button in the bottom corner is from the Silver Basics in the Spring Catalogue. There are 2 sizes, this is the bigger one. It is HUGE and so nice !! I tied a knot of the 1/8" Baja Breeze Taffeta Ribbon through the holes and added it with some Glue Dots. Cute !!

Well, thats my card for today !! My son really liked it, he thought the elephant was funny. Hahaha. I hope you like it too !! Thanks for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

Hearts A Flutter Valentine Treat Pops

Hey Stampers !!

My son may only be 2, but it feels like hes already in school sometimes ... I needed to create TWO different bunches of Valentines treats for play groups he is in !! Hahaha. I already showed you the Dinoroar Valentines I did for one group, and today I am showing you the super fun treat pops I made !! I got this idea from Dawn Griffith over at Dawn's Stamping Thoughts and thought they were SUPER cute so I would make some too !! Take a look !!

Aren't they just too sweet ?? And they were really fun to make too. First, I used my FAVORITE laser cut doily hearts from the More Amore DSP (they are now all gone ... sniff sniff haha) and cut them all apart. The 3rd smallest heart from the Hearts Collection Framelits fit inside this doily perfectly, so I die cut a bunch of those with my Big Shot and the other patterns from the More Amore DSP. Then my hearts were done !! I used Blow Pops for my treats, so I had to cover them ! I took just regular white tissue paper (2 or 3 sheets so you couldn't see through it very well) in a rough 7" square, and stamped the hearts heart stamp from the Hearts a Flutter stamp set all over it in Real Red ink. Then I wrapped the top of the lollipop in that tissue paper, and tied it with the Pool Party Bakers Twine. Next was time to make my little tags !

I took scraps of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the open heart stamp, also from Hearts a Flutter, in Pool Party ink. Then in the middle of the heart I stamped the Love stamp from the Fabulous Phrases stamp set in Primrose Petals ink. I then die cut this out with this fun shape from the Heart a Flutter Framelits. I stamped the back of the take with the "from" stamp (also from Fabulous Phrases) i real Red ink, and write my sons name underneath. The kids need to know who their fun treat is from, right ?? I then punched a hole in the top with my 1/16" Handheld Circle Punch, and tied my tag to the lollipop with more Pool Party Bakers Twine. A couple of Glue Dots on the back of the treat attached it to the DSP hearts really well ... I just love them !! Here is a close up of one by itself.

I can't wait for Jackson to hand out these adorable valentines to his little friends on Friday! I think they turned out great ! I hope you do too. Thanks a lot for stopping by today and Happy Stamping !!

Got Treats and More Amore Treat Bag

Hey Stampers !!

Happy Monday !! Is it a happy one where you are ?? If you live in my neck of the woods, you might not be very happy because we got DUMPED with snow over the weekend !! My poor hubby had to get out the snow blower for a couple hours yesterday afternoon and then do it all over again this morning before work !! Yuck !! I know there are some people who like snow, but we aren't those people !! Hahaha. but, one good thing about a snow day on a Sunday is that I had a bit of time for stamping !! I got a few things accomplished and had lots of fun doing it !! My project I am sharing today are these ADORABLE treat bags !! Its the first time I have made something like them (even though the idea is no where near new) and now I am hooked !! Have a look and tell me what you think !!

Isn't that just .. well ... delicious !?! And so fun and easy to make !! I bought the Medium Flat Cello Bags from Stampin' Up! a while ago with a project like this in mind, but this is the first time I used them ! They are the perfect size for some treats (I used these yummy Strawberry Marshmallows) and stapled the top of the bag once I had them filled. I used my Top Note Die to cut out  Pool Party die cuts and also some from the lovely More Amore DSP. I know, I have been using that paper a lot ... but its so beautiful !! I used my paper snips to trip the stitched border from the DSP die cut, so that the Pool Party would have a nice border around the outside. I folded the Top Note in half long ways, and then used a bunch of adhesive and stick it to the top of the bag over the staples. And then it was tome to decorate !!

I used my last few Laser Cut Doilies (sniff sniff) as a background for my awesome sentiment. This cutie comes from the Got Treats stamp set, and I love it. I used my Basic Black, Pool Party, Primrose Petals and Real Red markers to color them in, stamped it onto some Whisper White cardstock and punched it out with the Decorative Label Punch. I adhered it to the doily heart with a couple dimensionals, and added a Basic Rhinestone to finish it off. I wrapped a piece of the 1/4" Pretty In Pink Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon around the treat topper, and then added the heart piece. The "Happy Valentine's Day" sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes, stamped in Real Red ink - punched with the Word Window Punch and layered onto a Real Red Modern Label - finishes off this cute little treat !! I am so excited to give them to their intended people !! Here is a picture of a few of them, with the different patterns of DSP that I used. Love it !!

Well, thats all for me today !! I really love how these sweet treats turned out !! Thanks for coming by today !! Have a good one and Happy Stamping !!

Seasonal Sayings Scrapbook Page

Hey Stampers,

Happy Saturday !! I am finally sharing one of my scrapbook layouts from the Scrapbooking Retreat I went to a couple weekends ago !! These pictures are from Jackson's 2nd Birthday party, and instead of playing up the Sesame Street theme I decided to just go with bright colors and a "Celebrate" theme ... I am really pleased with how it turned out !! What do you think ??

Isn't that SO super fun !?! I chose these pictures with some highlights from the party - showing off his cute Elmo t-shirt that he wore, along with the un birthday hats (Being modelled here by my Sister in Law Barb); blowing out the "2" candle on his beautiful cake with Mommy, and showcasing the fun decorations we had !! Love it !! I cut all the pictures to different shapes and sizes and matted them with Whisper White cardstock. I cut a piece of Tempting Turquoise cardstock to 11-1/2" square and matted it onto a piece of 12" Basic Black. My fun color combo is Pacific Point, Real Red, Gumball Green, Tempting Turquoise, Tangerine Tango and Daffodil Delight. I took a piece of each of those colors from the Brights (and 2012-2014 In Colors in the case of Gumball Green) Patterns DSP Stacks and ran them through my Big Shot with the fun wave design from the Tasteful Trim Bigz Die. Love that fun block of rainbow color !! I also put a 4" strip of the Real Red Polka Dots pattern behind my pictures, which just grounds them a little bit.

My stamped image uses the really fun Celebrate stamp from the Seasonal Sayings stamp set, which was carried over from the Holiday Catalogue. Love this fun stamp !! I cut a strip of Whisper White cardstock just a bit wider than the stamp itself, and stamped the image repeatedly with all of the colors of ink. I then ripped the bottom edge off and stapled it to my layout. A second piece of Whisper White all ripped around the edges serves as my journaling piece. Another staple attaches that to my layout. I am so pleased with how fun and colorful this page turned out !!

Well, thanks a lot for coming by today. I hope you enjoyed my layout !! This is the first bit of scrapbooking I have shared on my blog. Do you want me to share some more ?? I think I will from time to time. Hope you have a great day and Happy Stamping !!

Retirement Rewind #7: Floral Fillers

Hey Stampers !!

I am doing something today that I have never done before ... entering an online challenge !! Todays card is my entry into the Freshly Made Sketches sketch for this week !! I had a lot of fun playing along ... why don't you play too !! Here is there fun and easy sketch ...

And here is my version !! What do you think ??

I think its not AS clean and simple as they like it to be, but I like it !! I wanted to continue my Retirement Rewind series, so I used the Floral Fillers stamp set that retired from the 2011-2012 Idea Book and Catalogue. It has lots of fun images that coordinate with punches, but I didn't really use it a lot. LOL I am going to give the set along with this card as a Door Prize at my Stamp Club this month. I hope the girls like it !!

I stamped the flower image in Raspberry Ripple ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock and punched it out with the Fancy Flower punch. I also stamped the vine image from this set in Old Olive ink onto a strip of Old Olive cardstock. I stamped my sentiment from the Sweet Essentials stamp set in Early Espresso ink and then punched the Old Olive strip with the Scallop Edge Border Punch. A think layer of Early Espresso card stock behind the scallops really made it pop ! My DSP is from the Print Poetry DSP Stack, and these patterns are back to back on the same piece. I just cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece and then cut it at about 2" so I would have a long piece and a shorter piece. I then adhered my stamped and punched Old Olive strip. I die cut a Window Frames Framelit out of Crumb Cake cardstock and embossed it with the Lacy Brocade folder. I hung it off the side of my DSP layer and trimmed the excess and then added some 3/8" Raspberry Ripple Stitched Satin Ribbon. This layer was then adhered to an Early Espresso card base. Its a different card for me, but I think I like it !! Hahaha

Thanks a lot for coming by today !! I hope you enjoyed my card. Won't you join us over on Freshly Made Sketches with your own version of this fun sketch !?!? Have a great day and Happy Stamping !!

Dinoroar Valentines

Hey Stampers !!

Today I am sharing with you the SO CUTE Valentines that I made for my son to distribute to one of his play groups !! Its a bit more difficult coming up with "boy friendly" Valentines, but I was looking through my stamp sets and came across the too fun Dinoroar set, and thought it would be perfect !! Take a look, what do you think !?!?

Isn't that SO adorable !?! I think that for really little kids, too much "lovey dovey" in their Valentines is a bit much, so this sweet sentiment was the perfect match !! I just stamped a simple "Happy Valentine's Day" on the inside ... looks great !! And since I couldn't decide which dinosaur image to use, I made 3 different cards. My color combo is different pairings of Calypso Coral, Island Indigo and Lucky Limeade. Each card measures 3-1/2" square (used a 7" x 3-1/2" piece of cardstock scored and folded in half), the perfect size for a Valentine ! Then there is a 3" square piece of DSP and a 2-1/2" square piece of Whisper White that the images were stamped on. Here are some close ups of each version !!

I must admit, this one is my favorite. I love that sweet Brontosaurus !! I stamped him in Island Indigo ink and then added the little grass image (also from this sweet set) in Lucky Limeade. I then adhered the stamped square to a 3" piece of Lucky Limeade DSP from the 2011-2013 In Colors Patterns Stack. I stamped the cute sentiment in Lucky Limeade and then punched it out with the Modern Label punch, and added the cute heart from the Owl Punch. The heart got a bit of bling from some Dazzling Details and I dressed up the card base with some faux stitching using my Signo White Gel Pen. Love it !!

The T Rex card uses the same process, just with Lucky Limeade and Calypso Coral.

And finally, the Triceratops in the Calypso Coral and Island Indigo. So sweet !!

And here is ALL of the Valentines !! There are a lot of them, but it didn't take me a super long time. I cut all of my papers first, then stamped all the same colors, then assembled !! i think it was worth the effort cause they are SOOOO stickin' cute !!

I hope you liked my cards today !! Thanks a lot for dropping by and Happy Stamping !!

Elements of Style Sympathy

Hey Stampers !!

Hello !! Happy Friday to you !! It is SO spring like here these past couple of days !! All of our snow is gone and everything. Warm (well, kind of ... ) and rainy. Can hardly believe its February !! I will be posting some Valentines projects in the next couple of weeks, so make sure you come back for those ! My card today is another Sympathy card. One thing that I think is important when making a Sympathy card is simplicity. There is nothing more elegant than a simple sympathy card, and todays really fits that bill !! Take a look ...

Isn't that lovely ?? I think the Elements of Style stamp set is just so elegant, it is very versatile. I took a piece of Whisper White card stock measuring 3-3/4" x 5" and stamped the huge flower stamp off of one side with Baja Breeze ink. I then took my Essentials Paper Piercing Kit and poked those holes in the right hand corner. Isn't that a nice touch ?? Love it. I then attached that piece to a piece of Baja Breeze cardstock measuring 4" x 5-1/4". I stamped the elegant sentiment from the Loving Thoughts stamp set on a 1" strip of Whisper White cardstock in Midnight Muse ink. I cut a banner end on the strip, and then layered it onto a 1-1/4" strip of Midnight Muse (again cutting a banner end). I used my bone folder to curve up the middle of the banner, and adhered it to my Whisper White layer. I then adhered the whole layer to a Midnight Muse card base. I stamped my beautiful hummingbird in Midnight Muse ink onto a scrap of Whisper White and cut it out with my Paper Snips. I added it to my card with some dimensionals. My last touch was a bow of the 3/8" Midnight Muse Stitched Satin Ribbon. Beautiful and elegant !!

Here you can see how I stamped the envelope to match. I love doing that !!

Well, thats my card for today. I hope you liked it !! Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!
