Print Poetry Anniversary Shaker Card

Hey Stampers !!

WOW !! I have been away for a while, right ?? A while for me anyways. I have been super sick, and had no energy whatsoever for any blogging or anything. I was off work and even had my son stay over at Nanny's house cause I was afraid he would catch it !! But I am feeling much better now, still have a bit of a stuffed up nose and bad throat but well enough to do a blog post !! Hahaha. Yesterday was my In Laws Anniversary (45 years !!) and I made a fun Shaker Card for them !! If you don't know what a shaker card is, they use the cute Shaker Frames that Stampin Up! sells along with the Window Sheets, so you can have little shapes or glitter or whatever that will shake inside like a mini card version of a snow globe !! They are very fun, and I don't know why I don't make them more often !! Here is the beautiful card I made ...

Don't you love it !?!? I took a picture of it lying flat so you can see the little "shaker pieces" in it. Love how this turned out !! My color combo is Raspberry Ripple, Midnight Muse and Summer Starfruit. My first step was to prepare my window for my shaker frame. I cut a Heart Framelit into a piece of Raspberry Ripple cardstock measuring 2-3/4" x 3" and then matted it onto a 1/4" larger piece of Midnight Muse and cut the same framelit again. A lot easier to stick the pieces together before cutting out the heart, then you don't need to worry about them not lining up perfectly !! I then had a piece of Very Vanilla that measured 2-3/4" x 3". I stamped that with the lovely swirly flower image from the Elements of Style stamp set in Summer Starfruit Ink. I took a piece of Window Sheet the same size and stamped the Love from Pennant Parade onto it with Jet Black StazOn ink. StazOn ink works great for stamping onto Window Sheets and other slippery materials ! Then it was time for my Shaker Frames !! They come in circles (lots of different sizes) so I needed to cut them to make my heart shape. Actually, it didn't matter what shape it was in as long as it was bigger than my heart and you couldn't see it once my heart layer was adhered on top !! Shaker Frames are like a super thick dimensional, they stick on both sides so whatever you put inside doesn't come out. Very cool !! I stuck my Shaker Frames to my stamped Vanilla piece, then filled it with my little Itty Bitty Punch Pack flowers (complete with Rhinestones) and then stuck my Window Sheet on top. So easy !! I then adhered my Raspberry Ripple and Midnight Muse layer on top using Glue Dots. A few steps go into this type of card, but I think the end result is so worth it !!

My main layer is a piece of the lovely Print Poetry DSP. This beautiful stack uses all of the 2012-2014 In Colors, plus Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake. There are 48 sheets, 4 each of 12 double sided patterns,   measuring 4-1/2" x 6-1/2" for only $8.50 !! Love it ! I wrapped a piece of the 3/8" Summer Starfruit Stitched Satin Ribbon around the layer, and then added a bow with a Glue Dot. A couple of Boho Blossoms (which I am so addicted to lately) really add some fun punch along with a LOT of Rhinestones !! Love those long strips of Rhinestones, so easy to add where they are all attached to each other  and how sparkly !! Love it !!

Well, thats my fun card today !! Love those Shaker Frames ... I should really use them more often !! Would be so fun for a kid card too !! Thanks a lot for coming by today ... sorry I was away !! Come back soon and Happy Stamping !!

Lacy and Lovely Thank You

Hey Stampers !!

Happy weekend ! This is going to be a very quick post today, because I am at a Scrapbooking Retreat ! I just wanted to say a quick "Hello" to let you know how much fun I am having !! My fellow demo friend Cathy and I are in a beautiful room in a even more beautiful hotel ! And of course, lots and lots of paper crafting !! I am a newbie at this retreat, so I am meeting lots of new people as well. Love that !! I am sharing this cute little Thank you card today made using the Lacy and Lovely stamp set ! I think its really cute, quick and easy. Take a look !!

My color combo today is Raspberry Ripple, Midnight Muse and Whisper White. First I embossed the bottom edge of my Whisper White layer with the sweet Delicate Designs embossing folder. Then I stamped the largest circle design in Raspberry Ripple ink; the middle circle in Midnight Muse on some scrap paper that I punched with the 1-3/4" Circle Punch and the smallest circle in Raspberry Ripple and punched with the 1" Circle Punch. I layered all of these pieces together and topped it off with a Rhinestone. I stamped the Thank You in Raspberry Ripple onto a scrap and punched it with the Decorative Label punch. I then layered a second Midnight Muse Decorative Label punch behind that piece that I cut in half. Really makes it stand out. A strip of Rhinestones on this piece finished this sentiment piece. A piece of the delicious 3/8" Midnight Muse Stitched Satin Ribbon on the top of my embossed strip finishes my layer, and then it was adhered to a Raspberry Ripple card base. Really like how quick and cute this card is !!

Thanks a lot for stopping by today !! I hope you liked my card. Have a great weekend and Happy Stamping !!

Pretty Pennant Parade Birthday

 Hey Stampers,

Good day to you !! I am off wok today, but I have a LOT of stuff to do today !! Tomorrow I am going to a weekend long Scrapbooking Retreat, and I have to get all my stuff packed up today ... ouch !! I am TRYING to be selective with what I am taking, but you need a LOT of stuff to do (what I'm hoping will be) 12 or more layouts !! So, my craft room is going to be torn apart today ... hahaha. Also, I have Stamp Club tonight so I need to pack for that as well ... Busy busy !! Today is my good friend Kim's birthday ! She is turning 30 today (the first of my same age friends to do so, reminding me I only have 9 months remaining of my 20's LOL) so I knew I needed to make a very special card. I wanted it to be feminine, yet funky so I browsed my stamp sets and decided to use the very fun Pennant Parade set. I really like what I came up with a lot ... what do you think ??

Isn't that so beautiful !?! Its a bit busy, as many shabby chic cards tend to be, but I think it turned out great ! I used the fun color combo of Lucky Limeade, Pool Party, Wisteria Wonder and Calypso Coral. I love these 2011 In Colors SO much, and they will retire at the end of May so I really want to use them as much as possible before then ! First, I stamped and punched out all of my pennants using the Petite Pennants Builder Punch. Then I punched holes in the top corners using the 1/16" Handheld Circle Punch and "hung" my pennants on some Linen Thread. I ran my Very Vanilla layer through my Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, and added 2 Pool Party Printed 2011 In Color Designer Brads to hang my banner from. Very cute ! I trimmed the front flap of my Calypso Coral card base by an inch because I wanted the beautiful Lace Ribbon Border Punch to make a sweet bottom edge. This punch is retired, but it is available on the Clearance Rack right now !!

Next was time for some fun embellishments. I used the Boho Blossoms punch and one of the punches from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack to make some cute flowers to hang on my banners. I just love the fun texture that First Edition DSP adds ! The Wish Big sentiments is also from the Pennant Parade stamp set. I stamped it in Lucky Limeade ink, punched it out with the 3/4" Circle Punch and layered it onto a 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch in Wisteria Wonder DSP from the 2011-2013 In Colors Patterns DSP Stack. I also used that paper stack for my beautiful flower ! 2 1-1/4" Scallop Circle Punches in the Wisteria Wonder DSP and 2 Pool Party ones punched with the 7/8" Scallop Circle. I snipped between the scallops and crumpled them up to make them look more real. I then added a Calypso Coral Printed Brad for the centre. Some Lucky Limeade leaves punched with the Bird Punch finish off this sweet blossom. I wrapped a piece of the 3/8" Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon around the card and adhered the flower to it with some Glue Dots. LOVE how sweet it turned out !!

Here is a shot of the card closed so you can see that I also added some of that gorgeous Wisteria Wonder DSP to the inside of the card, so it could show through that beautiful Lace punch. You can't see it when its opened, but its really nice closed and when the card i opened.

Thanks so much for coming by today !! I hope you enjoyed my card ! I will try to do a blog post from my retreat, but I am not sure of how great the internet will be there. So, definitely come back soon !! Have a great day and Happy Stamping !!

Feel Goods Butterfly Card

Hey Stampers !!

happy Sale-a-bration to you !! LOL Thats' right, SAB starts today !! WOO HOO !! It's the most wonderful time of the year to be a stamper !! For every $60 that you spend, you get to choose a FREE product from the fun SAB brochure !! Check out all of the great free stuff here !!! The card I am showing you today is one we are making at my January Stamp Club on Thursday ! I am so excited about it. it is a quick and easy card, but I think it is just beautiful ! The main image is a gorgeous sentiment from the new Feel Goods stamp set in the Spring Catalogue. This set is chock full of the most beautiful verses !! Take a look for yourself !!

Isn't that stunning !?!? I love it. And very quick to make !! I stamped the beautiful sentiment on a piece of Whisper White measuring 4" x 2-1/2" in Early Espresso ink towards the upper right corner. This piece got layered onto a piece of Early Espresso cardstock measuring 4-1/4" x 2-3/4". I then stamped this smaller butterfly image from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set on some scrap Whisper White in Calypso Coral ink and Lucky Limeade ink. Then I punched them out with the new Bitty Butterfly punch. I used the Elegant Butterfly punch to pop out some butterflies using the 2011-2013 In Color DSP Stacks, also in Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade. A couple of Rhinestones in the centre of the butterflies and they were done ! Very simple and fun.

My main layer is a piece of Whisper White measuring 4" x 5-1/4". I ran it through my Big Shot with the Honeycomb embossing folder. Love that texture !! This was then adhered to a card base of Lucky Limeade. I wrapped a piece of 3/8" Calypso Coral Ruffled Ribbon around my stamped layer, and adhered it to the card using dimensionals. A bow of the same ribbon really finished off this sweet card.

I hope you enjoyed my card today !! I am looking forward to sharing it with my stamp girls ... wouldn't you like to make cards like this with us ?? If you would like to join my Stamp Club, please let me know !! Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

Snow Much Fun Birthday

Hey Stampers,

Happy Monday !! I am so excited for this week !! On Thursday I have my January Stamp Club (complete with a new member!!), and then on Friday I go away for a Scrapbooking Retreat !! WOO HOO !! I am SO behind on my scrapbooking, so I am hoping to get sort of caught up. So expect some layouts in the couple weeks of the projects that I made !! My card today is a birthday card for my father in law. Its not my typical man card, but it's technically from my son so a grandpa card can be a bit more fun, right ?? And my father in law REALLY likes my cards, so I wanted to make a really fun one for him. I used a couple of stamp sets that most people would just use for Christmas cards and then forget about, but I like to get the most out of my purchases !! I'm sure you do as well. So my birthday card today uses Snow Much Fun and Jolly Bingo Bits !! I really like how cute it turned out ... take a look !!

How fun is that !?!? You know me and snowmen !! LOL I used one of my favorite winter color combos of Real Red, Marina Mist, Bashful Blue and Basic Gray for this card. Fun yet not girly! I stamped my tall snowman (LOVE him!) onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock only slightly larger than the image with Jet Black StazOn ink. I then used my Blender Pens and colored him in. So quick and easy ! Then I matted him onto a piece of Marina Mist and then a piece of Real Red. Fun and bold ! I used my Real Red and Marina Mist markers to color in my banner (from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set) and then die cut it with the matching framelits. A thin strip of Real Red cardstock fed through a Basic Gray button and a couple of glue dots and my focal piece was finished !

My background layer is a piece of Whisper White measuring 4" x 5-1/4". I stamped it all over with the cute little snowflake from the Jolly Bingo Bits stamp set in both Marina Mist and Bashful Blue ink. I then ran it through my Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. I wrapped a piece of the 1/4" Basic Gray Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon around this layer and adhered it to a Real Red card base. I popped up my snowman piece with some dimensionals and it was all done !! Love how cute he turned out !!

Here is what I did with the inside of the card. That fun birthday sentiment/image is from the Delightful Dozen stamp set. I colored it with markers to give it that multi-colored effect. The "grandpa" sentiment is from Family Reunion. I love how that stamp set can turn any sentiment into a personalized one !! A must have on my list for sure. The cute bird and snowflake is also from the Snow Much Fun stamp set, and he just makes me laugh. LOL

Well, thats my card today !! I hope you like it !! Maybe you can try to use your Christmas Sets a bit more during the whole year !! Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

Create a Cupcake: Twin Edition

Hey Stampers !!

I don't know if it's only my kid (I'm positive that it's not!) but he is ALWAYS getting invited to birthday parties !! We live in a very small town, but it still seems like there is a birthday party to go to every other weekend !! LOL This weekend he is going to a party for twin girls. They are the first of the kids that will be in his grade in school to turn 3 !! I can't believe he will be 3 this year !! But I have until the end of September to worry about that ... hahahahaha ... I decided to make 2 cards that are essentially the same, except for the colors. I knew I wanted to use the Create a Cupcake stamp set, so that was my starting off point. I really like what I came up with !! Take a look !!

Isn't that cute ? And such an easy layout. It would be so simple to turn it into any type of card, just by changing the sentiment and putting a different image inside that scalloped circle. I can see me going back to this fun design a lot !! Lets take a look at each card !!

My color combo for this card is Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight and Chocolate Chip. First I stamped the pieces of my cupcake onto scrap strips of Whisper White cardstock, and used my Cupcake Builder punch to punch them out. I find using thin strips is important for this punch, so you don't waste lots of cardstock trying to punch out the piece you want. I then adhered the cupcake to a 1-3/4" Circle Punch of Whisper White and then adhered that to a 2-3/8" Scallop Circle of Chocolate Chip. The scallop was looking a little bland, so I took my Paper Piercer and pierced a hole into each scallop. Cute and simple way to jazz it up, don't you think ?? I coloured the cute little flower image from this stamp set with my Daffodil Delight and Lucky Limeade markers and then fussy cut it out. This got adhered with a mini glue dot and a Basic Rhinestone got stuck in the centre of the flower. I then stamped the Happy Birthday from the same stamp set, punched it out with the Word Window punch and adhered it to a piece of Daffodil Delight that I punched with the Modern Label punch.

My main layer is a piece of Tempting Turquoise that I embossed using the brand new Honeycomb embossing folder and my Big Shot. The oval pieces were die cut using the fabulous new Ovals Collections framelit. LOVE those ! I can see me using them for so many things ... they are so versatile !! I did the larger one in Chocolate Chip, and punched holes around the edge using the new Occasions Paper Piercing Pack. The smaller oval was cut out of the beautiful International Bazaar DSP. Love this beautiful Daffodil Delight and Whisper White pattern !! All of this was mounted onto a Chocolate Chip card base.

This version uses the color combo of Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo and Chocolate Chip. The make up is essentially the same ! I embossed the Melon Mambo layer with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder this time and my larger oval was die cut in Whisper White instead of Chocolate Chip. I also LOVE this DSP pattern !! Its also from the International Bazaar collection, I need to use that paper more !! It's so beautiful.

Well, those are my cards today !! I think its really fun to try and make the same card different using colors and textures, don't you ?? Thanks a lot for coming by today, have a great weekend and Happy Stamping !!

Broadsheet Alphabet "Love" Banner

Hey Stampers,

Good day ! One of my favorite things to do as a stamper, is look at other stampers work for inspiration !! I get blown away sometimes by how much amazing talent is out there ! My card today is one that I saw on Stampin' Connection (the demo only website) by the talented Elizabeth Hurst. I couldn't find a blog belonging to her, but believe me ... her card is beautiful !! I took the idea and made it my own. I love alphabet stamp sets, and I have a new "resolution" (is it too late in the year to make a New Years resolution !?!) that I am going to use them more. The set I am using today is the Broadsheet Alphabet, which is SO fun and funky ... love it !! I paired it with the Hearts a Flutter framelits and some More Amore DSP ... tell me what you think !?!?

Isn't that cool ?? I really "love" how it turned out. Elizabeth's card was more clean and simple than mine turned out. I just kept adding things to it !! Hahaha. Death By Embellishment, I guess. LOL I wasn't quite sure if it was too much or not, so let me know if I went too far !! Hahaha. I think its cute. I picked 4 of the more plain patterns from the More Amore DSP and stamped the L, O, V and E in Jet Black StazOn Ink. Then I used the 3 different banner framelits from the Heart a Flutter collection and die cut them on the Big Shot. I also die cut a scalloped heart (also from Hearts a Flutter) in the Silver Glimmer paper while I was at it. They turned out so cute !! I sponged the DSP banners with Primrose Petals ink so they would really pop. I used my 1/16" Handheld Circle Punch to poke a little hole in the  top corners of the banners so I could string it on some Black Bakers Twine (non-SU).

My background layer is a piece of Pink Pirouette that I embossed with the gorgeous Elegant Lines embossing folder. I think this is one of the first embossing folders I ever bought, and I LOVE it ! I don't know why I don't use it more often !! Shame on me. I then draped my banner across it, but not before securing down my blinged out silver scalloped heart. Love how much sparkle that adds !! I used some of my favourite 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain ribbon along the bottom of the layer, this time in Real Red. Then I attached the whole layer to a Primrose Petals card base with some dimensionals.

Then it was time to embellish !! I used the Boho Blossoms punch, along with the Itty Bitty punch pack, to make my cute flowers. A Red Glimmer Small Heart added some more of the beautiful red color, and a little tag stamped with the Tiny Tags and Lovely Little Labels stamp sets adhered behind the bow really set it off. Of course, a few Basic Rhinestones were necessary ... as always !! LOL

Well, here is my CASEd card today !! I hope you like it !! Thanks a lot for dropping by today and Happy Stamping !!

Summer Smooches and Ribbon Daisies Card

Hey Stampers !!

How are we on this fine Monday morning ?!? I am a bit tired, I stayed up late watching the Golden Globes. I just love Award Show season !! LOL But I am paying for it this morning ... LOL. The card I am showing you today uses some retired grosgrain ribbon, but it could be made with any ribbon really. I just had some of the old style 1/4" Grosgrain that I wanted to use up, so I thought I would try to make some flowers with it ! I had seen a couple ribbon flowers before, but nothing quite like these. I think they turned out really fun ! Not exactly a card you would send in the mail, it's pretty bulky, but I think they are really sweet .... take a look !!

Isn't that so fun !! I smile just looking at these bright "daisies". They are a bit big, but would be a great card to hand deliver or give with a gift. And they are easy to make as well !! I punched a 1" Circle out of the coloured cardstock (in this case Rich Razzleberry and Real Red) and covered it with a two 1" circle punch of the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet. Then my circle was covered with super sticky adhesive on both sides ! I then looped short pieces of ribbon (I think mine were roughly 3-1/2" long) to make my petals, and stuck them to both sides of the circle. I made 8 petals on my flowers, but more or less would be fine as well. I found 8 was all that would fit around my 1" circle, but if you used a larger centre it would fit more petals. I then covered the top of the petal with a second 1" circle to make it look nice and finished. Then I punched a 7/8" Scalloped Circle punch out of Daffodil Delight and added it with a dimensional. The largest buttons from the Brights Buttons Collection in Daffodil Delight tied with some White Bakers Twine added a perfect centre to these flowers. Love those buttons !

I chose two patterns of the Summer Smooches DSP for the background of this card. My color combo of Rich Razzleberry, Real Red, Daffodil Delight and Lucky Limeade come from this paper, a fun and bright combo don't you think ?? I chose the Daffodil Delight triangles pattern for my main layer. Put behind the flowers, it makes it look like a beautiful sunny day ! The backside of that pattern is the strip that I used on the bottom. Really ties all of my colors together. I stick a strip of Lucky Limeade that I punched with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch behind that strip, so look like grass for my flowers to be growing out of. 2 more strips of the Limeade cardstock became my flowers stems and a 1-1/4" Circle Punch made my leaves. I punched them and then fed them into the punch again with the help of a piece of Post It Note to clip off a nice leaf shape. I then scored them in the middle to give that leaf look. Love it !!

The only tiny bit of stamping on this card uses the Saleabration stamp set Pretty Petites. This cute set coordinates with the Saleabration Petite Curly Label punch. I used my Rich razzleberry and Real red markers to color the thank you image, stamped it onto some Whisper White and then punched it. I then layered the punch onto a 1" Circle of Lucky Limeade so it would stand out on the DSP pattern. Another piece of the Rich Razzleberry ribbon wrapped around the layer really grounds the sentiment. Everything was attached to a Real Red card base.

Well, thats my card for today !! I LOVE how it turned out !! This will be the door prize at my January Stamp Club next week along with the spool of Rich Razzleberry ribbon. Should be a big hit !! Thanks a lot for dropping by today and Happy Stamping !!

Madison Avenue & Sycamore Street Fancy Favor Bag

Hey Stampers !!

Happy Weekend !! We were "lucky" enough to have a snow day yesterday, so I got to finish all of my prep for my January Stamp Club !! And almost 2 weeks early !! I am so happy with myself. LOL The project I am showing you today is my Hostess gift (So of you are Barb, stop reading this now ... hahaha). I got the layout idea for this (kind of) from a card in the Saleabration brochure. It started out that way, but I kind of went with my own ideas after that. Inspiration can come from anywhere though, so I just go with it ! Enough chatter ... here is my cute treat bag !!

Cool, right ? I think it turned out great. I die cut the Fancy Favor Bigz Die (my FAVORITE die that if they ever retire I will be so depressed) in 12"x12" Rich Razzleberry cardstock (I used textured, cause thats what I had on hand ... but it doesn't matter) and put it together as normal. Then I took a wide strip of the awesome Sycamore Street DSP, which will be free with a $60 order during Saleabration, and cut a big flagged end on one side. I used the pattern of the paper to figure out how wide I wanted it to be, and I knew I wanted the banner end to hang off the side so all of the measurements were just eyeballed.  I then used my 1-3/8" Circle Punch to punch a hole. A 1-1/4" Circle punched in a scrap of Tangerine Tango layered behind it made it really stand out. I stuck a thin strip of Pool Party cardstock that I punched with the  Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch along the bottom, and then my layer was ready. I put a scrap of Whisper White onto the box where my punched circle was going to be, and then adhered my banner with some dimensionals. Very cute ! Love the design of this DSP.

Now for my stamped pieces ! I stamped the cute flower image from the Madison Avenue in Summer Starfruit ink onto a scrap of Summer Starfruit cardstock, and then die cut it with the smallest framelit from the Floral Frames collection. Love when stamps match framelits !! I then fluffed up the die cut, and put a cute Rich Razzleberry button from the Sycamore Street Ribbon and Button pack in the centre. One of the brand new Large Rhinestones fits on those buttons perfectly, so I had to add that right !?!? LOL Love those new big jewels !! I added 2 stacked dimensionals to the flower so it would rise about the raised banner piece, and it worked out great !! I then stamped the cute friend sentiment (found in the Fabulous Phrases stamp set) onto a scrap of Whisper White and die cut it with the Bitty Banners framelits. I laid that banner onto a scrap of Tangerine Tango and fussy cut a slim layer around it. That tiny touch of Tangerine really makes the banner pop !! I added a couple pieces of the fun Sycamore Street Pool Party ribbon with the banner, tucked it in behind my flower. Love that new ribbon !! A bow of the same ribbon in the upper left corner adds a nice flirty touch as well. The last touch (a lot of steps for this project !! Phew !!) is a tiny scalloped flower from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack in Rich Razzleberry cardstock on the friend banner. Voila !

I then filled the bag with these cute Ghirardelli chocolates that I had covered with the DSP. Yummy and pretty !! LOL

Thats my cute project for today! I hope my Hostess this month (my sister in law Barb ... hahaha) loves it as much as I do !! Thanks a lot for dropping by today and Happy Stamping !!

Cutsey Punch Art Owl Valentine

Hey Stampers,

Good day !! It is a VERY snowy day here in Newfoundland. Actually, one of the main power sources for the whole island went down this morning so most of the province was without power for a few hours !! But, everything seems to be back to normal here in my neck of the woods. I was off work yesterday, so I got a few projects done !! I have been seeing a couple cards made with the MOST ADORABLE punch art owl, and I knew I had to make one too !! I also made a cute scrapbook page with some owls, I will share that later. Here is my adorable owl !! Take a look !!

Isn't that the KA-UTEST thing !?!?!?!?! I am loving this sweet little owl. And a couple of circle punches is all you need !! My color combo here is Riding Hood Red, Blushing Bride (oh how I miss thee), Pool Party, Early Espresso and a tiny bit of Pear Pizzazz. I punched out a piece of Riding Hood Red with the 2-1/2" Circle Punch. Then I punched a second one out of Blushing Bride. I stuck the Blushing Bride one to a piece of post it note and fed it back into my punch to make the belly piece. I kind of eyeballed here, and actually punched it a second time because it was still too big the first time. Its all personal preference at this point on how much of the background body piece you want showing. I then ran the Blushing Bride "belly" though my Big Shot with the heart patterned folder from the Adorning Accents embossing folder set. Then I attached it to the Riding Hood Red circle. Then I used my 1" Circle Punch to crop out the little "ears" section. Isn't that easy !?!? Then 2 1" Whisper White Circles for the eyes and along with the largest circle from the Owl Punch for the pupils. Very easy and cute !! I then wrapped a bit of 1/8" Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon around her middle, added a small bow with a Mini Glue Dot and a Small Heart punch of Riding Hood Red (I glittered the heart up with some Dazzling Details). I drew in some lines onto hr pupils with my White Gel Pen, and that made her really come to life. Easy peasy !!

My background layer of Pool Party, I wanted to have a nice cloudy background. I punched out a scrap of cardstock with the 2-3/8" Scallop Circle punch and then sponged around it with my Whisper White Craft Ink. This makes the perfect clouds !! Its a bit hard to see in the picture, but it looks so great in person. I then hand cut a scrap of Early Espresso to look like a tree branch. This was embossed with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder on my Big Shot. Once I had that adhered down, I stamped my sentiment from the Wacky Wishes hostess set in Early Espresso ink. I then adhered my layer to my Blushing Bride card base. My leaves were punched in Pear Pizzaz with the Bird Punch and adhered to my branch. The pretty flowers were from the Boho Blossoms Punch and the Itty Bitty Punch Pack, A couple Rhinestones really finished off this sweet card.

I hope you like my project today !! I think it turned out so adorable. Thanks for dropping by today and Happy Stamping !!

Stippled Blossoms & So Sorry Sympathy

Hey Stampers,

Good day to you all !! I am in SUCH a good mood these last couple days ... You want to know why !?!? I am going to CONVENTION !! For you non-demo people, Convention is only THE Stampin' Social Event of the Year !! Demos from all over North America meet up in Salt Lake City and have a GREAT time learning and stamping and sharing and just having the best time ever !! This year is my first year attending, and it is even MORE exciting because this is Stampin' Up's 25th Anniversary year !! So they are saying that Convention is going to be even better than ever before !! I booked my plane ticket on Monday, so it's official !! Just waiting now until April to register and book my hotel. SO EXCITED !! I feel so grateful for this amazing opportunity. I have been on Cloud 9 these past few days !! Woo hoo !! Sigh Ok, calm down. Hahaha. I still have 6 months until I go. LOL

My card today is a sympathy card that I made for a dear friend and neighbour that lost her mom over the holidays. I wanted something especially beautiful for her, because her mom was a beautiful person and also, she loves my cards and I wanted to make one really special for her. I used the beautiful Stippled Blossoms stamp set along with the So Sorry sentiment set. I love both of these stamp sets! The Stippled Blossoms is a great 2 Step Stamping set, really beautiful flowers. And the So Sorry set is great for many sorry cards. There is even a sentiment on there for when a pet dies! Very versatile set, with lovely words. See what I came up with !!

Isn't that lovely ? I love the soft purples for these beautiful flowers. My color combo for this card is Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive and Certainly Celery. The first step for this card, was to die cut my Whisper White piece using the Labels Collection Framelits. Then I did my stamping. I did the sentiment first, so I would have lots of room for it. I stamped the So Sorry with Old Olive ink and the "for your loss" in Certainly Celery. I love the font of that "so sorry" stamp, don't you ?? Then it was time for my roses. I stamped the background of the roses with Wisteria Wonder ink that I had stamped off on some scrap paper first. I really wanted the purple to be nice and soft. Then I stamped the overlay image with Elegant Eggplant ink that I had also stamped off first. These images are so easy to stamp, you don't even need a Stamp-a-ma-jig ! Then I went in with my leaves. The background eaves were stamped with Certainly Celery and the overlay with Old Olive. Love all of these colors together !! I then used the framelit that I had cut my white piece with, and traced the outside onto a piece of Elegant Eggplant cardstock. The next size up framelit was too big for the look I was going for, so I just fussy cut out this size for the perfect slim layer ! Love that.

Next was time for my layers. I embossed a piece of Whisper White card stock measuring 3-3/4" x 5" with the beautiful Lacy Brocade embossing folder. Then I layered it onto a piece of Certainly Celery measuring 4" x 5-1/4". I then wrapped these pieces with a piece of the 3/8" Wisteria Wonder Ruffled Ribbon. Then this was adhered to my Wisteria Wonder card base with some dimensionals. The stamped Labels piece was attached to the front of the card with dimensionals as well. Very pretty and delicate.

Here is a picture of the inside of the card and the envelope. I used the smaller flower image from the Stippled Blossoms set here, using the same colors and method as the inside. Then I stamped the beautiful sentiment from the Word Play stamp set with some Old Olive ink. Elegant and lovely I think. And of course, a stamped envelope finishes off this beautiful card.

Thanks a lot for coming by today !! Have a great day and Happy Stamping !!

Winter Printers Tray

Hey Stampers,

The Christmas Season is officially over in my house. All the decorations are taken down and the house is "back to normal" again. My house always seems so clean and big when I take all that stuff down !! I am sure if will seem messy again in no time though. LOL With the bringing in of another season, comes the changing of the inserts in my Printers Tray !! I must say, I think this season has some of the BEST images. Snowmen and snowflakes are so beautiful, and I had some really nice sentiments that went great for Winter. Take a look and tell me what you think !!

Isn't that lovely !! I tried to really use lots of different colors, not just a bunch of white and blues. I love the splashes of pinks and reds ... really makes the images come to life !! I used a bunch of different stamp sets and products, some current and some retired. I wont make a kist of all that I used (it would be a loooooong list LOL) but if you have any questions on anything you see, please don't hesitate to ask me !!

Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

More Amore & Hearts A Flutter Love Card

Hey Stampers,

How is everyone today ?? Last night I decided to try and get a head start on my projects for January Stamp Club ! I always think I am getting a head start, but by the time club comes around I will still be rushing something I am sure. LOL I knew I wanted to use the beautiful products from the More Amore Suite in the new Spring Catalogue for one of my projects. I decided (after much indecision LOL) to go with the More Amore Specialty DSP and the Heart A Flutter Stamps and Framelits Bundle. Love using those bundles, you save 15% off the regular price !! Can't beat that, right ?? Thats the problem when everything is so beautiful !! Decisions, decisions. LOL I knew I wanted to use the stunning laser cut heart doilies for sure, so I decided to build my card around that idea !! take a look at what I created !!

Do you like it !?! I really love how it turned out. This would be a great valentine of course, but also a sweet anniversary card or birthday card ! Just change up the little sentiment !! My "love" sentiment is from the cute Ciao, Baby! stamp set which matches the new 7/8" Scalloped Circle punch and the yummy Petite Curly Label Punch (that I used here) that you can get for FREE during Salebration !! I love free stuff, don't you ?? So first I did all my stamping. The love sentiment was stamped in Real Red ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock and then punched with the Petite Curly Label. I used the Hearts a Flutter stamp set for my pink heart (solid image stamped in Pink Pirouette and outline in Real Red ink), striped banner and the scalloped heart (both stamped with Pool Party ink) and then I die cut them out with the matching Framelits. Love those framelits !! So easy for a perfect image.

Next was all my papers. The More Amore DSP layer was cut at 3-3/4" x 5" and layered onto a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Primrose Petals. A 1-3/4" x 5" strip of hearts patterned DSP was layered onto a 2" x 5" piece of Real Red cardstock and adhered to the layer. I stapled on my Pool Party banner before adhering the layer to my Pool Party card base. A couple steps, but love the effect ! Then it was time to add all my fun embellishments !! I piece of 1/4" Pool Party Sycamore Street ribbon was added to the back of my Pink Pirouette heart with some tape, and it was added with dimensionals to the Real Red die cut heart. I also added the love sentiment (blinged up by sticking on a Basic Rhinestone) with a dimensional. A Pool Party button (also from the Sycamore Street Ribbon and Button Pack - free during Salebration !!) tied with a bow of White Bakers Twine finishes off this fun card !

I think this card is so sweet. I hope my club ladies like it as well !! I have a few new ladies starting this year, so I hope this is a great welcome for them into the club !! Wouldn't you like to make one of these with us too !?!? Thanks for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

One in a Million Anniversary Card

Hey Stampers !!

How is 2013 treating you all so far ?? Its pretty good over here. My hubby and I relaxed all day yesterday, before going back to work today. Yesterday was New Years Day but it was also my Dad and Sister in law Barb's wedding anniversary !! And yes, my father is married to my husbands sister ... LOL Barb is one of my best customers (and friends) so I knew this card had to be SUPER special !! I really like what I came up with. Have a look !!

Isn't that pretty ?? I did a LOT of heat embossing on this card Do you have a Heat Tool yet ?? The old style model is on the Clearance Rack right now for only $15.59 !! There is nothing to make a card really fancy like Heat Embossing. I wanted it to be super elegant, so what is more elegant that a lot of gold ?? LOL I embossed a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock (measured 3-3/4" x 5") with the Music Notes Stampin' Around Wheel over and over so it would cover the whole piece. Then I ripped the edges so it would look aged, and sponged the piece with both Crumb Cake and Early Espresso ink. Then I embosses the lovely sentiment from the One in a Million stamp set with Early Espresso embossing powder. This piece was then die cut with a shape from the Apothecary Accents framelits. I also did a second shape from that framelit set with Early Espresso cardstock. The Early Espresso piece I dabbed onto my VersaMark ink pad, and heat embossed it with some more Gold embossing powder. Love how those edges look !! The sentiment die cut was sponged with Crumb Cake and Early Espresso ink.

I then tied a bow around my Music Notes piece with the 1/2" Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon. Then I looped some 1/4" Early Espresso Stitched Grosgrain and Victoria Crochet ribbons, secured them inside an Antique Brad and used some Mini Glue Dots to adhere it to the middle of the bow. Really love how big and beautiful all those ribbons look !! Then I adhered the layer to a piece of Brushed Gold cardstock that I had roughed up with my Paper Snips and sponged with Early Espresso ink. This was all attached to a Early Espresso card base. My sentiment piece was adhered to my Early Espresso die cut with some dimensionals, and was nestled next to the ribbon element. A couple of pearls really add more elegance. I then took some tiny scraps of the Champagne Glimmer Paper (retiring today !!!) and punched out a couple of Small Hearts and the little mini hearts from the Owl Punch. They just make the card, don't you think !?! Love how a bit of that glimmer paper goes a long way.

Well, thats my card today !! Dad and Barb just LOVED it and I hope you do too !! Remember, the Holiday Catalogue retires today, so if there is any last minute things you want to get before its gone forever ... get at that tonight !! Have a good day and Happy Stamping !!

Happy New Year !!

Hey Stampers !!

Happy 2013 !! I hope you all had a fun New Years Eve last night !! We had a family get together at my aunts house and it was a lot of fun. Great food and company! Of course, with a 2 year old, we had to go home before midnight (actually, we were in bed at that hour ... LOL) but it was still fun !! A lot different on New Years Eve when you have small kids. Hahaha. My project today uses the cute New Years single stamp that Stampin Up! is offering in their Single Stamp Pilot Program. I LOVE this cute image !! Its not often you can find really fun New Years stamps, so I had to grab this one ! And at $8.95 its a great price as well !! I made 5 of these cute 4" square cards for all of the couples that were at my aunts house last night. Each one was pretty much the same, but I switched up the background colors, the embossing folders and the ribbon ! Take a look at what I came up with !!

Here is one of the cards I made. I think this one was my favorite version. I used the color combo of Midnight Muse, Real Red, Lucky Limeade, Tempting Turquoise, Tangerine Tango and Daffodil Delight for these cards. I know, that seams like a LOT of colors !! But I really think they look good together, don't you ?? I colored in my stamp with my markers, and then stamped it onto Whisper White. Then I used my new Ovals Collection framelits to die cut the image using my Big Shot. Love those ovals !! A really nice and clean shape for a funky card like this. Then I cut a 3-7/8" square piece of cardstock in my 5 colors (all of the above excluding Midnight Muse) and ran them through my Big Shot using 5 different embossing folders; Perfect Polka Dots, Houndstooth, Stripes, Square Lattice and Chevron. Then each layer got some ribbon before I adhered it to my 4" Whisper White card base. I used the same 5 colors; 1/4" Real Red Grosgrain (retired), 1/4" Daffodil Delight Stitched Grosgrain, 3/8" Lucky Limeade Ruffled, 1/4" Tangerine Tango Satiny Ribbon (sneak peak from Salebration !!) and 1/4" Tempting Turquoise Grosgrain (retired). I liked giving each card its own fun personality just by changing up these few little details!!

Next step was some custom DSP envelopes !! I love using my Simply Scored and its Diagonal Plate to make fun envelopes !! For a 4" square card, you need a 6-1/2" piece of paper scored on all sides (diagonally) at 3". I used the same 5 colors again, and matched the envelope color with the ribbon color of the card. Really fun and colorful !! Then I used a Decorative Label Punch of Whisper White on the front to write the name of the recipient. Fun and simple ! Everyone really loved the cards when I gave them out. They were quick and easy to make but turned out so fun and colorful ! Love them !! See my next picture for all of the cards in the set.

Love those funky colors !! Thanks a lot for coming by today ! Have a great New Years Day with your families, and see you soon !! Happy Stamping !!
