Really Good Circle Punch Flower !!

Hey Stampers,

Good day to you !! It is a BEAUTIFUL day here where I live, sunny and warm !! It makes me so happy and SUPER excited for summer ! I am also really excited, because I am heading to my Strawberry Super Stampers Retreat this weekend !! The Strawberry Super Stampers is the name of my upline Kay Smiths' group - and we will be heading to The Wilds this weekend, a beautiful golf resort - but the only playing WE will be doing is with stamps, paper and ink ! This is my second year going, and its one of the highlights of my SU year ! AND where I am going to Convention this year (along with 18 other Strawberries) it should be extra fun getting excited for that !! Anyways, back to today's post ! The card I am showing you today is one I cased from the amazing Mindy Bingamon                    ( http://badabingcrafting.blogspot.ca ). I LOVE her fun style, and have CASEd her a lot. If you don't follow her blog - you totally should !! The cool flower on this card is one that Stampin' Up! showed demos how to make at Convention LAST year using Circle Punches and the Petite Pennant Builder Punch. I thought it was a SUPER cute idea and wanted to make one for myself !! Take a look !!

Isn't that so funky !?! I love this bold flower. I used a color combo that I pulled from the new Epic Day DSP - Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight and Gumball Green. Love that combo !! I made my flower out of Pool PArty. I punched one 2-1/2" Circle and two 1-3/4" Circles with my punches. Then I used the very top corner of the plain pennant on the Petite Pennant Builder Punch to cut out those little notches. I did 8 notches per circle, to make my "petals". I then fluffed them up using my Bone Folder and sponged them with Pool Party ink. I adhered them all together using Dimensionals, love that ! I then punched a 1" Circle of Calypso Coral card stock and sponged it with Calypso Coral ink. I used a cluster of Basic Pearls to really make the centre POP. Love how that turned out !! SO SO cute !! I also used my 1-3/4" Circle Punch to make 2 Gumball Green leaves to stick behind the flower. I scored the middle to make it look like the leaf vein and then sponged them with Gumball Green ink.

My main  layer is a piece of Daffodil Delight paper from the Epic Day DSP pack. I love using these plainer patterns for layers that need to be stamped on. And I love the fun distressing of Pool Party and Gumball Green at the top too. I used this awesome sentiment from the new Really Good Greetings stamp set. I coloured it with my Calypso Coral and Gumball Green markers and stamped it onto my DSP. I then sponged the outside of my layer with some Daffodil Delight ink. I love sponging papers with the same color ink ! It adds such great interest. I adhered my layer onto a Calypso Coral card base, and then added my awesome flower with Dimensionals and my leaves with some Glue Dots. Really easy to make but makes a BIG impact !!

Thats my fun card for today !! I am so loving all of these new products, and can't wait to get my BIG (huge, colossal, ginormous ... you get the idea) order next week to play with some more !! Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!
