Beautiful Bouquet to Make You Happy !!

Hey Stampers !!

I have the CUTEST EVER project to show you today !! Stampin' Up! released a fun hew project called the Bloomin' Bouquet kit. You can check out the fun video for it here on YouTube. The kit is available through my online store as well. But I thought - I can TOTALLY make those from stuff I have in my craft room !! So I went to work last night, and made this AMAZING home decor project ! I  decorated it for Mother's Day because my Aunt commissioned me to make one for my Grandmother from her. I am SO exciteted by how beautiful this turned out, and I can see me making one for myself PRONTO. Take a look !! Warning - picture OVERLOAD on this post LOL.

I can't even handle how beautiful this turned out. This jar has 12 flowers in it, but based on the size of the jar you use you can have more or less. They would be just beautiful on a windowsill or a table. I can't wait for my Grandmother to receive them ! I used a lovely color combo of Wisteria Wonder, Regal Rose, So Saffron, Baja Breeze, Certainly Celery, Pretty In Pink and Calypso Coral. Here are some more close up pictures, showing more of what I did ...

This is the close up of the label. I took a piece of Certainly Celery polka dot dsp (from the retiring Patterns Stack) measuring 3" x 12" and wrapped it around the jar. I adhered it with some Sticky Strip, and even though it didn't fit the whole way around the jar it didn't matter because I covered up the gap with my lovely bit label ! Lots of layers here. I die cut some Wisteria Wonder with the Window Frames framelit, then some So Saffron with the Floral Frames framelit (that I stamped with So Saffron ink and the retiring Distressed Dots background stamp). A Labels Collection Framelit in Baja Breeze came next, and then it was time for a sentiment. I chose this lovely verse from the (also retiring) Pursuit of Happiness stamp set, and stamped it in Regal Rose ink onto some Whisper White card stock. I then die cut it with this shape from the Apothecary Accents framelits. All of my layers were adhered with Dimensionals so it really POPS. I then punched out some Boho Blossoms, put them together with my In Color Printed brads (yet again, some retiring product) and decorated that piece as well ! SO SO pleased with the effect ! Isn't it lovely !?!

I put the ring from the mason jar on it for a more finished look (and yes, I CHOOSE an old beat up one ... hahaha ... distressed is best !) and tied a big bow around it with my 3/8" Calypso Coral Ruffled Ribbon. I then added a tag that I stamped with my "wonderful mother" stamp from the Delightful Dozen stamp set in Baja Breeze ink. I used my 1" Circle Punch to round the top of the tag and my 1" Square Punch to create the banner ends. I punched a hole in it and hung it from my ribbon with some White Bakers Twine. Pretty right !?!

Now for the flowers. I created 2 different styles - this one uses my Fancy Flower Punch. I punched 3 of the images from each color and curled them a bit with my bone folder. Then I cut a slit between two of the petals towards the middle of the flower, and then overlapped where I cut - adhering with some Tombo Liquid Glue creating a cone shape. I did that to all 3 punches and then adhered them together using Dimensionals in the middle. A beautiful Designer Button (also retiring!!) tied with a White Bakers Twine bow int he middle really makes this flower so beautiful. I used my Hot Glue Gun to sandwich this black wire (that I found it in my husbands work shop) to the back and covered with a 1" Circle Punch. The leaf for this flower is a Full Heart Punch that I folded and wrapped around the wire. My Tombo Liquid Glue worked great for that as well !!

This style of flower uses 5 Blossom Punch's stacked together. I spritzed them with some Frost White Shimmer Paint (retiring) mixed with Alcohol to make them wet (and sparkly), poked a hole in the centres of each one with my Paper Piercing Tool and then layered them onto a 3/16" Brights Brad (retiring). While it was still nice and wet, I scrunched all the petals up to make this lovely shape. Once the cardstock dries, it holds its shape ! SO fun ! The leaves on this style of flower uses the old style Butterfly Punch folded around the stem. So sweet !!

Well, thats my BIG project for today !! And it looks like a lot of work, but I made the whole thing in one evening ! Not too shabby, if I do say so myself. Why don't you try and create this beautiful project for your home - or to give to YOUR mother on Mothers Day ! Thanks so much for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

  1. I love what you did with this project. But don't put them in the window or near sun as it can leach out the color of the flowers.
