Word Play Tissue Holder

Hey Stampers,

I was going to show you the second project I have prepared for my Stamp Club girls tonight, but realized that I still had a project from LAST month to show you !! SHOCKING ! I really love this cute project. I got this idea from the amazing Angie Kennedy Juda over at My Chic N Scratch. She made a video of how to make this cute project, and you can see that right here. I thought her idea was SO fun that I just had to share it with my ladies ! I made mine a bit more masculine, using the Parker's Patterns DSP and the Word Play stamp set. Take a look at my version !!

Isn't that cute !?! My main box was made using the Marina Mist cardstock. You need a piece measuring 4-1/4" x 11". I then scored it at 4-1/2", 7", 8" and 10-1/2" on my Simply Scored Tool. Fold on all of these score lines, and cut your Large Oval place where the tissues come out using your punch (see Angie's video for the exact way). I cut my pieces of DSP at 4-1/4" x 4" (for the back piece), 4" x 2-1/4"(for the top, you need to punch with the LArge Oval punch again once its adhered down) and 4" x 3/4" for the slim front piece. I adhered all of them down, and then used Sticky Strip on the 1/2" end flap to make the box shape. Make sure you put the package of tissues inside before adhering to give yourself enough room. The tissues can easily slide in and out, so they can be replaced when they are all used up ! So clever, love this idea !!

For my fun embellishment piece, I used the Word Play stamp set. I thought the Feel Better Soon image went so well with the tissues ! I used my Not Quite Navy, Cherry Cobbler and Cajun Craze markers to color my image and then stamped it onto Whisper White cardstock. I then punched it out with the Decorative Label Punch and layered it onto a piece of Cajun Craze I cut with the 1-3/4" Circle Punch with some Dimensionals. I a Punched out a 2-3/8" Scallop Circle from Not Quite Navy cardstock, pierced the scallops with my Paper Piercing Tool and adhered it to my stamped piece. I tucked a little loop of the 1/2" Cherry Cobbler Scallop Dots Ribbon behind the piece and then adhered the piece to the tissue holder.

This is such a great little item to have on your desk, for a child to give a teacher or to give a friend who is not feeling well. I just love them ! I hope you do too !! Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!
