Take Care Spring Tree Card

Hey Stampers,

How is everyone today ?? It is BEAUTIFUL here today, very sunny and spring like ... lots of snow melting (there isnt much left to be honest) and birds even chirping !! Shocking !! Hahaha. So, my card today is a very cheerful and sunny spring card, which I am totally in the mood for ! It uses one of my new favs, the Take Care stamp set ! This set was new in the Annual Catalogue this year, and I kind of kept passing it by. I saw a few really sweet ideas using it and so I decided to pick it up. I am SO happy I did !! It is so adorable, I love it !! I used the "branch" today to make a tree ! Take a look at what I came up with !!

Isn't that SO super fun ?? I love it. Very bright and cheery !! And the color combo of Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade, Daffodil Delight and Early Espresso is so lovely together. I used two different patterns of the Floral District DSP here as well. I thought that Lucky Limeade pattern really could work for grass and leaves and the Daffodil Delight pattern was very "sunny" to me !! First, I used the branch image and stamped it in Early Espresso ink onto a piece of Whisper White measuring 3-3/4" x 5". I inked up the branch again, this time using my Early Espresso and Lucky Limeade markers, and stamped it onto the DSP. I punched the top of the branch out with the 2-1/2" Circle Punch, and adhered it with dimensionals to the trunk. Isn't that a super cute tree ?!? I love it. I then took a strip of the DSP and tore along the top, and adhered it across the bottom as grass. Very easy ! And also adds some fun texture with that torn edge. I used my 1-1/4" Circle Punch to create those fun leaves that are "falling" from the tree with that DSP as well. The little scallop from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack got a real work out for this card, I punched a bunch of them from some Calypso Coral cardstock, crumpled them up a bit with my fingers and adhered them to my tree (and a couple falling down) with some Glue Dots. A Basic Rhinestone in the middles of them really makes them pop !!

For my sun, I punched a 1-3/4" Scallop Circle out of Daffodil Delight cardstock, and then added a 1-3/8" Circle of the Floral District DSP to the centre. I adhered this straight onto my card, tucking it behind the tree. Cute right ?? It also overhung my Calypso Coral layer (measuring 4" x 5-1/4") so I cute snipped off the extra. I stamped my sentiment (also from the Take Care set ... obviously LOL) in Early Espresso ink and punched it out with the Large Oval Punch. This got layered onto a Daffodil Delight Scalloped Oval Punch, and adhered to my card with some Dimensionals. All of this was attached to am Early Espresso card base.

Well, thats my project for today !! I hope it adds a little "spring" to your step and some sunshine to your day !! Thanks a lot for coming by and Happy Stamping !!
