Precious Baby Ticket Collage Card

Hey Stampers,

I hope you are all having a good weekend so far ! It is a really nice day here where I live, clear and bright. Not exactly SUNNY but no other precipitation so ... thats good. LOL I am going to a baby shower today for an old friend from High School. He lives on the main land now (what us Newfies call when you don't like in Newfoundland ... hahaha), so I thought I would make a really extra beautiful card where she can't really take lots of presents back home with her. She also didn't find out the sex of the baby - so a more gender neutral palate was necessary. I pulled a bunch of lovely pastel colors along with the That's The Ticket stamp set. I saw a beautiful card design on the Stampin' Up! Facebook page using this set that I was dying to try. It was created by Amy Bollman, who is a member of Stampin' Up!'s own Artisan Design Team. Her version of this card was a birthday one, but I thought it would make a great baby card !! Check it out and see if you agree with me !!

Ok, how sweet is that !?! I am totally in love with it. And this color combo of Pear Pizzazz (yay its coming back!), Wisteria Wonder, Pretty In Pink (which is retiring !!), So Saffron and Pool Party just screams baby to me !! I picked 3 stamps from the set - Precious Baby, the blank ticket and the solid ticket -  and stamped one in each color. I then just arranged them on a piece of Whisper White measuring 4-7/8" x 3-5/8". I like how some of them are hanging off of the edges and everything! Very cool. Then I adhered my ticket piece to a piece of Wisteria Wonder measuring 4" x 5-1/4". I couldn't really decide which color of ribbon to use ... so I though "Hey, why not use both ?!" I first wrapped a piece of the 3/8" Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon around my layer, and then topped that piece with the 1/4" Pretty In Pink Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon. LOVE those cute ruffles peaking out around that grosgrain !! I love it. I plan on using that idea a lot. I then adhered that layer to my Pear Pizzazz card base with some Dimensionals. The little sentiment piece is from the Occasions Alphabet set. I just wanted the "B is for Baby" part, so I coloured it with my Wisteria Wonder marker an punched it out with my 1" Circle Punch. I then layered it onto a 1-1/4" Scallop Circle of So Saffron and adhered it to my card. Cuteness !!

Here is a picture of the inside of the card and the So Saffron striped envelope I made. The sentiment comes from the One in a Million stamp set, and I was SO excited when I saw that the font matched the Occasions Alphabet !! Yes, thats how dorky I am. Another stamped ticket and a Small Heart Punch finished off the inside of this fun card.

Well that is my cute baby card for today !! I hope Jenna likes it !! I hope you all are having a great weekend !! And remember, if you like this That's The Ticket stamp set - its in the Spring Catalogue which retires at the end of this month !! So get it while you can !! Thanks for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!
