Oh Whale: Get Whale Soon

Hey Stampers,

Happy Friday !! Nothing like the weekend, right ?? And I am not working this Saturday so its a REAL weekend LOL. I have a baby shower to go to tomorrow (visit my blog again tomorrow to see the sweet card I made) but other than that, I have no plans !! Hoping to get outside with my boys and get some fresh air. It has been pretty spring like here this week, but today its snowing on and off ... Hope thats the last we see of that for a while !! The sweet card I am showing you today is one my ladies will be making at Stamp Club this month ! It uses the ADORABLE Oh, Whale stamp set from the Spring Catalogue. I paired it with the Sunshine & Sprinkles DSP, which was made to match it. LOVE when the stamps, paper and accessories are all MADE to co-ordinate, don't you ?? Makes crafting so easy !! Take a look at what I created with these fun products !

Is that sweet or what ?!? I also decided to use some of the soon to be retired colors here. The Sunshine & Sprinkles DSP has lots of great colors that it coordinates with, but some of the shades match even more colors !! I thought that the retiring Regal Rose and Certainly Celery would go great with this Polka Dot pattern. I cut the polka dot dsp at 3-3/4" x 5" and then cut the cute wave pattern (the backside of the polka dots) at 2-1/4"x3-1/4". I adhered the 2 dsp patterns together and covered where they join with the 1/2" Marina Mist Scallop Dots Ribbon. This was layered onto a piece of Regal Rose cardstock cut at 4" x 5-1/4", and this was adhered to my Certainly Celery card base with dimensionals.

I stamped the sweet whale image with Marina Mist ink onto a scrap of Whisper White. Then I cut it out with the Happy Whale clearlit and my Big Shot. I tucked him behind the ribbon"waves" and added a Rhinestone for his eye. I punched 3 "clouds" from my Cupcake Punch (its actually the frosting piece!) and embossed them with my Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. Cute right ?! I stamped my sentiment in Regal Rose ink, punched it out with the Word Window Punch and layered it onto a Certainly Celery Modern Label Punch. There a few different sentiments included with this sweet set, and any of them word work beautifully with this card design. I tied some White Bakers Twine through the smaller Silver Basics Designer Button and adhered it to my card with a Glue Dot. Love the shine that adds !!

Well, thats my card for today !! I cant wait to make it with my club girls next week !! Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!
