Happy Day, Baby !

Hey Stampers,

well, I have been lying to you ... I have been telling you that the Spring Catalogue is finished the end of THIS month (April), and actually its not until the end of MAY that it is finished !! YAY !! I was trying to fit in all these Spring projects, thinking I only had a week left to use them ... I am SO happy I was wrong !! Hahaha. SO, I apologize if I was confusing you. ANYWAY, my cute card today uses 2 items from the catalogue, and if you love them as I do you should STILL get them soon cause they are so fun o play with !! The sweet stamp set that I am using today is the Ciao, Baby set that coordinates with the awesome Petite Curly Label Punch that I used here (along with the 7/8" Scallop Circle, but I didn't use it for this card). For my colors, I went to the Print Poetry DSP Stack for inspiration. I decided to go with  some of the Primrose Petals, Summer Starfruit and Raspberry Ripple patterns, and paired that with some Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake. I really like the end result !!

Isn't that cute !?! I love how what the Curly Label Punch and the Petite Curly Label Punch look like when layered together, so I just went with that ! I punched 3 of each size with the DSP, one in each of my 3 chosen papers. I also did some of the larger shape in Very Vanilla, which I embossed with the Square Lattice embossing folder. I kind of just played around with the combinations of papers and colors until I got something that I liked. I stamped the cute "Happy Day" image from the stamp set, once in each color. That stamp is my favourite from the set ! I also am so happy I got to use some of my In Color Dahlia's on here, I don't use them NEARLY enough. So cute !!

When I lined up all of my Curly Labels, it made a strange size for my layer (4-1/8"x 5-1/4") but I just went with it. I embossed my Crumb Cake layer with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, and then layered it onto a piece of Raspberry Ripple measuring 4-1/4" x 5-3/8". I then cut a piece of Very Vanilla at 9-3/4" x 5-7/8", scored it in the middle and then had a card base. A strange sized one, granted. LOL BUT with my awesome Simply Scored Tool and Diagonal Plate, I can make a custom envelope for it ... no problem !!

Thats my cute and colorful card for today. I really like how it turned out, and it was so easy to make !! A couple of punches or paper, and thats about it !! Love these simple cards that turn into beautiful cards !! Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!
