As you have heard me say before, we are lucky enough to have a family house in Florida (10 minutes from Cinderella Castle !! Boo yah !!). My Dad and Sister in Law were just down there for 7 WEEKS and came home on Sunday. We really missed them (Barb is my best friend) so of course I had to make a card welcoming them back !! I wanted it to be bright and springy (even though they left the beautiful weather to come back to just so-so weather here LOL). I decided to go with a couple of patterns from the Floral District DSP and my Broadsheet Alphabet stamp set. I really think it turned out great !! Take a look !!
Isn't that fun !?! I love it. First I took a strip of Whisper White measuring 1-1/4"wide and stamped my "home" on it. I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig for perfect placement, and then trimmed the length of my strip so the word fit perfectly. I then layered it onto a piece of Baja Breeze, and took 4 strips of Daffodil Delight that I punched with the Scalloped Dotted Ribbon Border Punch to frame that. I LOVE those sweet scallops peeking out ! And it was really easy to do. Next I stamped the "welcome" from Fabulous Phrases in Baja Breeze ink and die cut it out with the Bitty Banners framelits. I also cut a second banner in Daffodil Delight cardstock. I took a THIN thin strip of Rich Razzleberry cardstock an layered that between my 2 other banners, for a really fun embellishment. Cute !! I also punched out a Baja Breeze Elegant Butterfly and a stamped Daffodil Delight Bitty Butterfly (using the Papillon Potpourri stamp set), and then it was time to get my layer ready !
I took a piece of Whisper White cardstock measuring 4" x 5-1/4" to layer my DSP onto. The 3 DSP pieces measure 1-1/2" x 3-3/4", and I just spaced them evenly onto my layer. I wrapped a piece of the 1/4" Rich Razzleberry Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon around where the Daffodil Delight piece is, and then adhered it to my Baja Breeze card base. I then added my embellishments and stamped pieces and I LOVE the effect !! And of course, a few Rhinestones for good measure. LOL
Here is the inside of the card. I used another piece of this beautiful DSP, along with some more butterflies from the Papillon Potpourri set. My lovely sentiment is from the From My Heart stamp set. I just LOVE that little verse.
Well, thats my card for today !! I hope you liked it. Thanks for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!
