Epic Day & Designer Typeset Birthday Card

Hey Stampers,

I got a fun new shipment of Stampin' Up! products this week, so I was SO excited when I had some time last night to play with them ! 2 of the first things I grabbed for was the NEW Photopolymer stamp set "Designer Typeset" and the yummy Epic Day DSP from the new This 'n' That line !! I am so excited about both of these new offerings from SU. The new photopolymer stamp sets are SO great ! If you don't know what photopolymer is, check out the great PDF talking about it here. In short, they are completely CLEAR stamps. Super sticky and bendable too !! I LOVE them !! I have used some cheaper brands of it before, but SU's are great quality and stamp like a dream !! Take a look at what I came up with !!

Isn't that CUTE ?!? I love having this fun alphabet set. The letters are so nice and small, and you can spell out a little message !! All of the stamps on this card are from that set. Don't you LOVE that little word balloon ?!? So fun. And all of those arrows are made from the same straight arrow in the set ... its so easy to curve whichever way you want on our clear blocks !! Same thing for the banner. Comes straight and a dream to curve !! I picked my color combo of Gumball Green, Crumb Cake, Calypso Coral and Pool Party from the Epic Day DSP. That DSP is what I used for all the strips at the bottom of my card. I cut 5 different patterns of the DSP at 4" long at different widths, ranging from 1/2" to 1-1/4".  I then tore them at different lengths, and adhered them to the bottom of a piece of Very Vanilla measuring 3-3/4" x 5". I adhered the strips down flat with my snail, but popped up the cute one that has the word "happy" on it. I thought that was a perfect strip to have front and centre on a birthday card !! I added some staples along the side as well. Then it was time for some stamping !!

I took the long banner stamp and curved it onto my block, and then stamped it in Crumb Cake ink. I took the letters that spelled out "party" (plus the exclamation point) and stamped one into each pennant. A few of the curved arrows around the outside added some more fun ! I then stamped the word bubble in Crumb Cake ink onto a scrap of Very Vanilla. I stamped the "4 you" in Calypso Coral and Pool Party inks and then cut it out with my Paper Snips. The arrow from the Hung Up Cute Clips Collection added a SUPER fun element here. I just tucked it onto the side of my word balloon, and adhered the balloon with some Dimensionals. My whole layer was adhered to a piece of Gumball Green measuring 4" x 5-1/4" and then this was added to a Crumb Cake card base with some Dimensionals. I think this card would make a great birthday card for a man or teenage boy !! And so quick and easy. Just add a birthday sentiment to the inside !!

Well, thats my card for today !! I love how it turned out. If you love these new products as much as I do why not pick them up at my Online Store !! And remember, you get FREE SHIPPING today and tomorrow ... so totally take advantage of that while you can !!! Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!
