CCC #017: Card Challenge "Oh Christmas Tree"

Hey Stampers,

So, its the 7th so that means another Card Challenge over on Catherine and Cathy Create !! Our theme for December is Oh Christmas Tree !! I have a few nice tree stamps, but nothing says a beautiful tree to me like the awesome, must have “Lovely as a Tree” stamp set. So I took out that oldie (but goodie) and got to creating !! Take a look !!

A classic tree like this needed some classic colors - so I used the fab combo of Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke and Crumb Cake. Love it ! A touch of the Season of Style DSP in the background is beautiful too. A bit of linen thread adds to the rustic charm of this sweet card.

Well, thats it for me today !! Thanks so much for coming by !! And don’t forget to go over to Catherine and Cathy Create to see all the fun ideas our awesome Design Team has over there for you !! And play along with us too, won’t you ?? Hope to see you there and Happy Stamping !!

CCC December Monthly Challenge: Tis the Season !!

Hey Stampers,

Can you even BELIEVE that its December ?? This year has totally flown by !! And of course, another month means more fun challenges over on Catherine and Cathy Create ! The Monthly Challenge this month is Tis the Season aka ANYTHING Christmas !! So you definitely have no excuse to not play along !! There must be something fun you are working on that you can share !! Here is my fun card !!

Isn’t that super fun !! I always can’t wait for the weather to turn a bit colder so I can have some yummy Hot Chocolate - so I thought it would be super cute to take the coffee cup from Perfect Blend and make it Christmassy !! Its so easy to paper piece this fun image. I used Crumb Cake, Whisper White and the polka dot DSP from the Season of Style stack. I also added a Candy Cane from the (retired) Scentsational Season stamp set as a stirrer. Yummy !! The great sentiment is from the Christmas Messages stamp set. Did you know that set is on sale for 30% Off during the Holiday Sale ?? How awesome is that ? So if you haven’t placed an order yet - you need to jump over to my Online Store and see whats happening over there !!

Well thats it for me today !! And please drop over to Catherine and Cathy Create and join in on our fun challenges !! Have a great day and Happy Stamping !!

CCC Christmas in November: Winter Wonderland !!

Hey Stampers,

Well, as you read this - I am in Florida !! Or at least on the airplane. I am flying to Florida today to have a lovely 2 week Disney vacation with my awesome family !! YAY !! But, I am still keeping up with my CCC posts - so remember to keep coming back here or to Catherine and Cathy Create to see whats new !! Well, onto my Winter Wonderland themed post for today !!

I have seen a lot of different versions of this beautiful Endless Wishes card. I LOVED it so I needed to create one for myself !! And I used the fun (and easy and affordable) Note Cards and Envelopes to make it ! SUCH an easy and quick way to make a ton of cards super fast !! I loved the idea of adding some Silver Glimmer Paper to the card, so 2 little Star Punches (from the Merry Minis set) was the perfect addition !! Unfortunately, this super popular stamp set is already sold out for the season ! So if you didn’t get a chance to get it, its still a fun layout to recreate with other stamps !!

Well thats it for me today !! Thanks so much for stopping by!! And drop over to Catherine and Cathy Create and play along with our monthly challenges !! Have a good one and Happy Stamping !!

CCC #014: Cards Challenge - Button Up !!

Hey Stampers,

Is there a nip in the air where you live !?! It is CERTAINLY getting wintery here in my neck of the woods. I even had to wear a scarf this morning with my coat !! Yikes ! So, in honour of cooler temperatures, our Cards Challenge over at Catherine and Cathy Create this month is Button Up !! Add a button to your card and come on over and join us !! Take a look at the fun buttons card I came up with !!

Isn’t that cute !?! I’ve been seeing a lot of fun samples of cards where they use buttons as ornaments, and I thought they would look AWESOME hung off this fun sentiment from the Snow Day stamp set !! So, this card was SO easy to make !! After I stamped my image and added my buttons with glue dots, I used a ruler and my Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker to draw in my ornament pieces - so fun !! I love how they turned out. And I also added some Jumbo Basic Pearls to the centres as well - don’t they look sweet enough to hang on your tree ??

Well, thats it for me today !! I hope you can come over to Catherine and Cathy Create to join us with our fun Button Up challenge. If you link up before November 30th you will be entered to win our Monthly Prize !! FUN !! So hop on over and check it out !!! Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

CCC #013 November Challenge: Playing With Triangles !

Hey Stampers,

So, I now that the hustle and bustle of HALLOWE’EN is over (its crazy that there even IS a hustle and bustle for that holiday) I am OFFICIALLY in CHRISTMAS MODE !! Yay !! I love me some Christmas. So, even though the fun challenge for November is “triangles” I am still doing a Christmas themed project! I am LOVING quick and easy cards this year. I think Cathy is totally rubbing off on me, cause I am loving lots of white on white. She would be so proud !! LOL SO without further ado, here is my fun triangle inspired Christmas card !!

Isn’t that fun ?? When I first stared to think triangles, I was a bit stumped. But when I looked around my craft room for some inspiration - I saw the Petite Pennants Punch. Ding ding ding !! So I then took the awesome Season of Style DSP and started punching !! I created this fun pattern in MINUTES and it loos so impressive !! Love love love it. Some pieces of ribbon, a sentiment and a fab Frosted Finishes embellishment, and this card car done !! SO easy and quick to reproduce too !! I can see me making a bunch of these (in lots of different DSP’s) in no time at all !!

Well, thats it for me today !! Thanks a LOT for stopping by. And drop on over to Catherine and Cathy Create to play along with our November Challenge and to see what all our wonderful Design Team have created as well !! Have a great weekend and Happy Stamping !

CCC #011: Groups of Three !!

Hey Stampers,

So, the Card Challenge for October was posted over on Catherine and Cathy Create today !! The theme we picked for this month is a lot  of fun - GROUPS OF THREE !! So, make a card featuring anything in a group of 3; 3 buttons, 3 shapes, 3 items of any kind !! Fun and easy, right ?? I decided to make another Christmas card to add to my stash using 3 ornaments I created with the Mosaic Madness set !! Take a look at this fun and quick to make card !!

Isn't that cute !?! I love taking non-Christmas sets and using them to make great Holiday cards !! This rich color combo is Island Indigo, Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler and is perfect for Christmas cards. I also used the Modern Mosaic embossing folder to mimic the shaped of the ornaments. Love how that brings it all together !

Well thats it for me today !! Drop over to Catherine and Cathy Create and play along with us, won't you ?? Thanks a lot for dropping by today and Happy Stamping !!

CCC #010: October Challenge "Orange & Black"

Hey Stampers,

Well ... time is STILL flying by !! its now October, can you believe it !?! And I only have 30 days left in my 20's !! Hahaha. And of course, a new month means a brand new challenge over at Catherine and Cathy Create !! I don't know about you, but when I think October, I think Hallowe'en !! Its one of my FAV days of the year (and not just because its my birthday). Our challenge this month is to create a project using the colors Orange and Black ... lets take a look at what I created !

Isn't that SO cool !?! And the coolest part is, I didn't even use a die or anything !! I trimmed a piece of the fab Witches' Brew DSP to 10" x 12" and then used my Sticky Strip to create a tube. I then folded the bottom 2" a couple times, trimmed up to my fold 4 times and folded these "tabs" over to create a bottom for my little bag !! SOOOO easy and quick too !! I tore the top edge of the bag then for a "spooky" look, and used my Paper Piercer to poke some holes for my 1/8" Pumpkin Pie Taffeta Ribbon to go through. I tied a nice bow, so its easy to get at the yummy treats inside.

The stamped images come from the Hallowe'en Bash stamp set. I heat embossed the bat image with Black Stampin' Emboss Powder onto some Pumpkin Pie cardstock, and layered it onto the fun Decorative Label stamp from the same set. Really cute when layered together, right ?? I can see me making a bunch of these fun bags this year - perfect for my co-workers !!

Well thats it for me today !! Don't forget to drop over to Catherine and Cathy Create to check out the fun projects the rest of the Design Team came up with !! And play along with us too !! Have a great day and Happy Stamping !!

Christmas Year Round: Jolly Old St. Nick

Hey Stampers,

Yes yes ... I am still here. I am sorry I have been SO MIA lately. I have been so tired with this pregnancy and everything, that by the time I have all my regular Mom and Wife stuff done - I can't do anything but sit like a lump. Hahahahaha. And my son's 3rd birthday is this weekend as well, so I have been really busy preparing for that as well. A mother's work is never done as they say !!

So, its the 25th meaning its time for another Christmas Year Round post over on Catherine and Cathy Create !! The theme for September is Jolly Old St. Nick - love some of the big man in red !! Now, even though I PICKED this fun theme, I was shocked to discover I didn't have ANY Santa stamps. So, I had to get a bit creative and break out my punches for a little punch art !! I really like what I came up with - take a look !!

Isn't that SO cute !?! I am loving him. It is so fun to look at your punches in a different way and see what you can create with them !! I was a bit puzzled at first with what color of cardstock to use for his little face - but I think that the new Crisp Cantaloupe worked pretty well !! And the new Stylish Stripes embossing folder adds SUCH a fun bit of texture. Love it !! And if your wondering where that fun "Ho Ho Ho" sentiment comes from, its in the sweet little set "Oh Goodie" !! Its a super cute set with 4 sweet little sentiments. Totally check it out !!

Well thats it for me today !! Run over to Catherine and Cathy Create to get lots of fun ideas to spark your creativity !! And join us on our monthly challenges - you could be entered to win a fun prize !! Yay !! Have a good day and Happy Stamping !!

CCC #008: September Cards Challenge - Terrific Texture !!

Hey Stampers,

It's the 7th so that means another Card Challenge over at Catherine and Cathy Create !! The theme for September is Terrific Texture !! Now, I know the first thing you think of when you think texture is Embossing Folders ! That is my FAV way of adding texture to a project. But there are lots of other fun ways to add texture !! I love using sponging and fun fabrics to add texture as well. My card today uses all of these fun techniques - take a look !!

Now, could this card BE any more filled with yummy texture !?! I used the awesome new stamp set Truly Grateful for all of the stamped images, and thought that the Woodgrain embossing folder would match perfectly ! I sponged all of my pieces, and used the fab new Burlap Trim for my last piece of texture. Don't you just love it ? And I am so glad that fall is coming so I can use great autumn color combos like this one: Soft Suede, Crushed Curry & Cajun Craze.

Well, thats it for me today !! Make sure you drop over to Catherine and Cathy Create !! Take a look at the projects the rest of the Design team came up with and play along with us !! There is some great Blog Candy up for grabs as well !! Hope to see you over there !! Thanks a lot for coming by and Happy Stamping !!

CCC #007: September Challenge: Chevrons !!

Hey Stampers,

Well, its the beginning of another month - and that means another new challenge over on Catherine and Cathy Create !! The theme for September is Chevrons !! When I got down to my craft room to create a project for this challenge, I was surprised at how many fun things I had with Chevrons on it !! I have the Positively Chevron Background Stamp, the awesome Chevron Embossing Folder and lots of colors of the new 3/4" Chevron Ribbon. But one thing that caught my eye was the super fun (and easy to use) Tag A Bag Bundle !! These sweet paper bags are so cute, the ombre chevron pattern on the kraft bags is SO cute !! I decided to make fun Hallowe'en treat bags with mine, can't be too early getting a head start on Halloween right ??

Ok, isn't that wicked ?? I love the new Hallowe'en Bash stamp set - that "celebrate" image is so fun !! I colored it using my Stampin' Write Markers. The combo of Old Olive, Tangerine Tango, Basic Black and Elegant Eggplant are the perfect Hallowe'en colors to me. I made some basic rectangles of cardstock in to a tag shape by simply cutting off the corners and adding the tag "hole" using the Chalk Talk framelits. Easy right !?! And a punch art pumpkin using the Small Oval Punch added the right touch of cute to the bag ! I cant wait to make a bunch of these to give to my son's little friends !!

Well, thats it for me today !! Don't forget to run over to Catherine and Cathy Create and check out all of the fun projects that the design team came up with !! And join us too, won't ya ?? Its super fun !! Thanks a lot for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

Make A Wish Gift Card Holder

Hey Stampers,

So, I had my August Stamp Club on Tuesday night, and we all had a lot of fun !! One of the projects I made was this SUPER CUTE gift card holder - using an envelope !! Its SO easy to make, and it would be really easy to make for lots of different occasions (I'm thinking a fabulous Christmas project). Take a look at this cool project !!

Here is a picture of the outside. Looks pretty cute right !? I decorated it using the I Am Me DSP and the Make A Wish stamp set. I love the Chalk Talk framelits as well, isn't that shape super adorable ?? I didint have a larger layer for it, so I traced the outside of the framelit onto a piece of Basic Gray cardstock and just cut it out with my Paper Snips ! Instant layer !!

And here's the inside. All you need to do it fold your envelope in half, and cut off one side of the flap to make your "pocket". Isn't that EASY !?! I love it. The cute sentiment in here is from the Occasions Alphabet set - such a versatile set ! There is a sentiment in there for every occasion imaginable ! I love it.

Well, thats it for me today ! Thanks so much for visiting today. Have a great day and Happy Stamping !!

CCC Christmas Year Round: Oh Christmas Tree

Hey Stampers,

So ... no you're eyes do NOT deceive you !! This is a BLOG POST from ME !! I know I have been MAJORLY MIA lately, but I found out just before I went to Convention that I am pregnant with #2 ! I have been soooooo tired and lazy that I haven't had the energy to do much of anything, so stamping went wayyyyy down on the priority list. But I am hoping to start up again soon ! Probably not with the same "every day" consistency that I was used to, but there will be something LOL.

SO today is the first ever Christmas Year Round post over at Catherine and Cathy Create !! I LOVE Christmas (I may or may not have already started listening to my holiday tunes) and I am so happy to have a little head start on my Christmas Cards ! The theme for August is "Oh Christmas Tree" and since it was the first card I have made in a long time, I decided to keep it nice and simple, but still nice ! Take a look at what I came up with !!

Ian't that cute !?! And it would be super easy to mass produce. I hope you can tell from the picture, but my stamped tree (from the essential Lovely as a Tree set) and sentiment (from the Greetings of the Season set) were stamped and then embossed with the gorgeous Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder ! Aren't they just sparkly and gorgeous !?! its super easy to do too. Just ink up your stamp in Versamark, then stamp it on your Classic Ink pad, and then you have COLORED Versamark !! Then you can emboss with either the Clear or Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder for a FAB look !! LOVE it !!

After my Heat Embossing i also Dry Embossed my main layer using the Northern Flurry folder. Love those snowflakes going up the side of the card !! Very wintery and beautiful. And of course, to add to the sparkle, I used some Basic Rhinestones and the new 1/8" Silver Ribbon. So shimmery and beautiful, right !?!

Well thats it for me today !! Check over on the CCC blog to see what my fellow Christmas Team friend, Justin Krieger, created for this challenge !! Thanks so much for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

Now, I am not really in that Back to School mode. My son is almost 3, so its a few years before I have to deal with that (that God hahaha). But I had a lot of fun coming up with a fun School Themed project ! I didn't have any school-ish stamp sets, so I did one of my FAV things !! Punch Art !! Take a look at the cute apple card I came up with !!

Isn't that sweet !?! And it was SO easy to create !! I used one of the circles from the Circles Collection Framelits to cut out my Real Red apple. Then the top of the Full Heart Punch gave me the "bumps" on the bottom, and the 1-1/4" Circle Punch clipped out a part from the top !! I used my Paper Snips to round the corners, and that was it !! SO easy right ! I then wanted it to look a bit more "realistic" so I sponged the apple with some Gumball Green ink so that it had that "red with a green tinge"that so many apples have. Love it ! I used my 1/4" Circle Punch to create my leaf as well. Love how the fun apple turned out !!

I was SUPER excited to use my new Alphabet Press embossing folder for the first time on this card !! I mean, whats more school than that ?! I also used some fun vintage products - my much loved (aka will never leave my stamp room in a MILLION years) Family Reunion set for the "for my teacher" stamps and the fun Spiral Border Punch for that stamped piece. Cute right !?! Love how this card turned out ! Now, I just need to hold onto it for a little while until Jack has a teacher to give it to !! LOL

Well thats is for me today !! Next on our stop is Tiz !! I can't wait to see what she's come up with !! Thanks a lot for coming by the Hop today !! Have a good one and Happy Stamping !!

CCC #005: August Cool Cards - In the Garden

Hey Stampers,

Good day to you !! I am so excited to share today's card with you - it is another Card Challenge over at Catherine and Cathy Create !! The theme for August is "In The Garden" ! So break out those flowers, butterflies and birds and come and play along !! The card I made uses the Stippled Blossoms stamp set, and I made it into a birthday card ! I gave it to my Grandmother for her birthday yesterday and she loved it !! I love it too - take a look and tell me what you think !!

Isn't that lovely !?! I just adore the images from this set - I have no idea why I don't use it more often !! The colors I used for the flowers are Blushing Bride and Primrose Petals, and the leaves are Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive. Love the two step stamping - such a professional look !! It may be a bit difficult to see in the picture, but my Whisper White layer was stamped very lightly with the En Francais background stamp with Crumb Cake ink. A nice subtle background ! It also looks like I can't stop using the great sentiments from the Simply Sketched hostess set either. LOL And isn't that texture just AWESOME !?! My card base was embossed with the awesome Beautifully Baroque embossing folder - love that one !

Well thats it for me today !! And remember, we would just LOVE it if you would drop over to Catherine and Cathy Create and play along with our fun August Card Challenge !! Our Design Team have some GORGEOUS ideas for you there too, so head on over !! Thanks so much for coming by today and Happy Stamping !!

Under the Sea Fish Card

Hey Stampers,

Happy Weekend !! I am pretty excited for today, it's my little nephew's First Birthday Party !! Yes, my sweet little boy is 1 !! I am just hoping that the weather clears up. They have planned a "Beach Party" (well, at their house - not an actual beach) and it's raining here right now ! So fingers crossed that it clears up for this afternoon ! So knowing that they had a beach theme for the party, I was scouring my stamp sets for some fun kid style sets to match ! And I had NOTHING ! I mean, By the Tide is not exactly kid friendly right ?? Hahaha SO I decided to break out my vintage Ornament Punch and make some fun Punch Art Fishes !! They turned out SOO adorable, I just love them !! Take a look !!

Isn't that SO sweet !?! It does use a couple vintage items, but if you dont have them I am sure you can substitute other punches ! First to make that fun design on the fishes, I used the awesome chevron oval image from the Oh Hello stamp set. Then I punched out an Ornament, and added some of the smallest petals from the (also Vintage) Blossom Petals Punch. A couple circles from the Owl Punch made the eyes, and thats it !! LOVE it !! And this color combo of Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, Pool Party and Wild Wasabi just looks like "under the sea" to me.

My Pool Party layer was stamped with Wild Wasabi ink and the seaweed/coral image from By The Tide. The little sentiment is from the Banner Greetings hostess stamp set - LOVE that fun set !! But I must say, my favourite part of this whole card are the Pearl "bubbles" coming from the fishes mouths !! LOVE it !! I hope Quinton (and his mommy Lin) like it too !!

Thats all for me today !! I need to try and clean up mu house a bit (yikes) before Jackson and I go to the birthday party. Hope you have a wonderful Saturday everyone !! Thanks a lot for stopping by and Happy Stamping !

CCC #004: Here Comes the Bride !

Hey Stampers !!

Well, welcome to August !! And with the start of a new month - that means new challenges over on Catherine and Cathy Create !! Our monthly challenge over there this month is Here Comes the bride !! So, anything with a wedding theme can be entered !! I decided to make a wedding card, you know me - when in doubt, make a card !! But you should see some of the other fab projects the Design Team came up with !! So awesome - check it out !! But now, onto my card !!

I know, I know ... this is SO not a traditional wedding card !! But I'm gonna let you in on a secret - I don't have ANY wedding stamp sets !! Can you believe it !?! I have a few sentiments found in other sets, but no real wedding images. SO I have to get creative when I made a wedding card !! I knew I wanted to use the awesome "mr and mrs" stamp from the new Label Love set for my sentiment, and then I decided that I would use the GORGEOUS flower from Regarding Dahlias for my focal point !! How FAB is this flower - especially heat embossed with Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder !?! My color combo is pretty simple: Whisper White, Silver and small touches of Blushing Bride. I mean, with a theme of Here Comes the Bride - Blushing Bride is a MUST right !?! LOL I love how well the Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder matches the stunning Brushed Silver cardstock, don't you ?? Just softly shimmery instead of bold glitter. Very soft and lovely ! For some more color, I sponged some of the Blushing Bride into my embossed flower - love that look ! And for a touch of added sparkle, a Vintage Faceted Button with a Large Rhinestone added just the right bit of bling !!

Well thats it for me today !! Thanks so much for coming by. And please make a fun Wedding Themed Project and post it over on Catherine and Cathy Create !! We would love for you to play along with us !! Thanks a lot for dropping by and Happy Stamping !!

Angry Birds Birthday

Hey Stampers,

Good Wednesday to you !! Well, being summertime that is birthday season for us !! Jackson has 2 birthday parties just this weekend !! The first one, on Friday evening, is for his little friend Ethan. His birthday party theme is Angry Birds so I knew I HAD to make a Punch Art Angry Birds card !! I had seen so many of these around, and I thought they were SO adorable !! So I searched around and found a few tutorials on how it should look (nobody in my house plays the game, so I'm not exactly sure what they even look like). I love the bold, fun colors of this card too !! I decided to make the red bird and thought that Real Red and Crushed Curry were the perfect match !! Take a look at this fun card, perfect for the gamer in your life !!

Isn't that awesome !?! I used my Circle Collection Framelits to cut out the large red circle, the 3rd largest one measuring 3-3/8". I then took my 2-1/2" Circle Punch and a scrap of Crumb Cake to make his belly. 2 squares measuring 1-3/8" and 1-1/4" of the Crushed Curry (I cut them in half to make triangles) created his beak. 2 1-3/8" Circles of Whisper White made his eye balls, with the 1/2" Circle Punch in Basic Black making the pupils. 2 Basic Black Modern Label punches are his eyebrows. And that little feather on his head ?? Its one of the petals from the new Pansy Punch !! Cute right !?! I also sponged the Real Red, Crushed Curry and Crumb Cake pieces (in their matching inks) for some added dimension before I assembled.

My background is a piece of Whisper White that I embossed with the Chevron embossing folder using my Big Shot. The fun greeting is from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set. I stamped it in Jet Black StazOn  onto a scrap of Whisper White and then die cut it out using the matching Bitty Banners Framelits. All of this was put onto a Crushed Curry card base. Love these bright colors !!

Well thats it for me today !! Make sure you check back tomorrow - we are starting a new month and that means new challenges at Catherine and Cathy Create !! So that means you have the rest of the day to join in on our July challenges if you haven't already as well !! Take a look over there are see whats happening !! Thanks so much for stopping by today and Happy Stamping !!

Hexagon Overload !!

Hey Stampers,

How is everyone today !?! I am doing pretty good. I had a HUGE nap last night, so I feel nice and rested !! I fell asleep in my sons bed after reading him a bedtime store (at around 8:30), woke up at 10 just long enough to make it to my OWN bed and slept until 6:45 this morning !! WOW !! Thats a lot of sleep ... hahahahaha. I was planning to go down to my craft room and get some stamping done, but I guess that wasn't happening !! LOL The cute card I am showing you today features a FUN little shape - the Hexagon !! I used the new Six Sided Sampler stamp set, the matching Hexagon Punch and the Honeycomb embossing folder !! Lots of fun hexagons ... hahahaha. Take a look at this sweet card !!

Isn't that adorable !?! Loving this color combo of Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo and Pear Pizzazz !! I pulled the colors from the Gingham Garden DSP, even though no DSP actually made it onto this card. And the Hexagon Punch makes popping out this great images a snap ! The little greeting also comes from the stamp set, and I die cut it out using the Bitty Banners Framelits. I punched a 3/4" Circle out of the centre of the hexagon outline, and the banner fit in it perfectly !! Love it !! And those new Designer Buttons have some great tiny embellishments, right ? I used the tiniest Melon Mambo one on my banner - so sweet !!

Well, thats it for me today !! Hope you enjoyed my card - thanks so much for coming by and Happy Stamping !!

By the Tide Birthday

Hey Stampers,

Good Monday to you !! I am shocked that July is almost over, aren't you !?! This month totally just flew by !! August is only a few days away, meaning that SUMMER has only a few weeks left !! I know, that sounds pretty mellow dramatic - but its true !! My hubby is lucky enough to have this week off (and I am working ... even luckier again for him, right ?? Hahaha) so he is planning on doing a lot of fishing - yummy yummy for fresh cod in our freezer this winter !! So, in "celebration" of fishing season, I broke out the awesome By The Tide stamp set ! I love this set, its totally fabulous. And this awesome color combo of Raspberry Ripple, Midnight Muse and Sahara Sand is SO nautical - I love it !! I did use a touch of retired DSP as well. This pattern from the Print Poetry DSP Stack was to perfect not to use !! Take a look at this fun nautical card !!

Isn't that awesome !?! First, I took a piece of Whisper White and stamped my images. That coral piece is BY FAR my fav in this set !! And it looks great in Sahara Sand ink. I then just tore around the images for a nice distressed look and sponged my tears with Sahara Sand ink. I also stamped the beautiful sea shell (also in Sahara Sand) onto a scrap of Whisper White and fussy cut it out with my Paper Snips. The skinny strip of DSP was also torn and sponged. My background layers were stamped as well. The Raspberry Ripple layer was stamped with the coral image all around the edges also in Raspberry Ripple ink. The main Sahara Sand layer (measuring 3-3/4" x 5" was stamped with the script image (also from this awesome stamp set) ion Sahara Sand ink for a fun addition of texture. Love that scripty stamp !! After adhering most of my pieces, I felt it needed a little something extra. So a few strands of Linen Thread and an Antique brad really finishes off this great masculine card !! Love how that style of Antique Brad looks like a compass !! Awesome !!

And here's a quick view of the inside. There was so much going on on the front, that there was no room for a sentiment. So I added this beautiful Happy Birthday from the Perfectly Penned stamp set, also with another coral image and fish !! So nice !!

Well, thats it for me today !! I have some fun new projects to show you (including the Make and Takes from Convention) so make sure you come back soon !! Thanks so much for stopping by today and Happy Stamping !!

Perfect Blend Convention Card

Hey Stampers,

So, were you aware that Stampin' Up! is now in the Guinness Book of World Records !?! When we were at Convention, we took part in the "Most Handmade Cards Sent From One Location" event !! So, lots of demonstrators brought cards from home, all addressed to a friend at home and sent them from Convention !! And now SU is in the Guinness Book !! Cool, right !?! I actually ended up making my card for it while I was hanging out at Cathy's house (and helping her finish her swaps) the day before we left. Its not the greatest picture, I took it in a real hurry, but the card was SO cute that I still had to share it !! It uses the Perfect Blend stamp set and Epic Day DSP. I don't drink coffee myself, but I still LOVE this cute stamp set !! I think this simple card turned out great - what do you think !?!

Isn't that sweet !?! I ended up having to stamp the coffee cup 3 times - once on my Epic Day polka dotted DSP, once on Pool Party and once on Very Vanilla. I then cut out my pieces and pieced them together. Love the fun look !! And then I added a fun Cherry Cobbler heart using the Small Heart punch and a Dimensional. My card base is a piece of Crumb Cake and I embossed the bottom half of the front with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. I then added a strip of that awesome DSP again and then some of the Crumb Cake washi tape from the Epic Day pack - I am becoming SO addicted to washi lately !! Love it !! Before adding my coffee cut with some Dimensionals, I added a piece of Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine for another pop of that red color. I stamped my sentiment onto a scrap of Very Vanilla and punched it out with the new Artisan Label Punch. I thought I needed another little punch of color, so I added a Pool Party Artisan Label (embossed with the Polka Dots again) and that finished off this cute and simple card !! I hope the recipient (a SU Team Canada member that couldn't make it to Convention) likes it too !!

Well thats it for me today !! Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend and Happy Stamping !!

Epic Day Congratulations

Hey Stampers,

Well, did you worry that I was NEVER coming back !?! LOL I worried about it haha. That trip to Convention REALLY kicked my butt. I am still exhausted and just not in the mood to do anything buy sweat to death (it is SUPER humid and hot here) and lie around. LOL But, I need to get back into the swing of things, right !?! I had an amazing time at Convention !! I totally am so glad that I went. One of the most exciting parts when when my Stampin' Sista Cathy Caines won a spot on the Artisan Design Team !! Super SUPER exciting !! I actually made this card for her before we even went, but I knew she was gonna make it !! I made it a "Cathy Style" card. Lots of white space and splatters. LOL In love hoe it turned out !! What do you think !?!

Isn't that fun !?! I took a strip of Whisper White and wrapped some of the fun Basic Gray striped Washi Tape from the Epic Day Suite around it, and then used my Hearts Collection Framelits to pop out a fun heart ! So easy. And of course, I broke put my Aqua Painter to make some fun Basic Gray and Cherry Cobbler splatters on my Whisper White layer. A couple fun Candy Dots and punched out hearts completed the fun look !! And my congratulations is from the SUPER versatile Delightful Dozen stamp set. A complete must have !! If you are trying to figure out where that gray bakers Twine is from, you are not losing it !! It is non SU, the color Stone from The Twinery. It was just to perfect not to use on this card !!

And here's a fun shot of the inside !! I colored the fun sentiment from the Really Good Greetings set with my Basic Gray and Cherry Cobbler markers and stamped it on a scrap of Whisper White. I then die cut it using one of the Chalk Talk Framelits, and tied some more twine through the tag. The cut out heart from the front of the card was too adorable not to use, so I tucked it behind my greeting piece for another fun element !! Cathy TOTALLY loved the card (and I do too) !!

Thanks so much for dropping by today !! Sorry I was gone for soooooo very loooooong but I am back now and expect lots of fun new stuff in the days to come !! Hope you have a wonderful Friday and Happy Stamping !!
