These Are a Few of My Favourite Things ...

Hey Stampers,

"These are a few of my favourite things ...". Don't you just love The Sound of Music ?? I never quite got why people think it's a Christmas movie, but I guess it just became a tradition for it to be on TV during this time of year. Its one of my fav movies of ALL time and in its Christmassy honour, I am going to post My Top 10 Favourite Stampin' Up! Tools! My friend Cathy over at www.cathycaines.blogspot.com did this yesterday and gave me the idea !! So here we go !!

1) The Big Shot (#113439) - Just as well to start off big ... Big Shot that is !! This indispensable tool is used on almost every project I make !! Whether it be die cutting with our Framelits, a die or using one of the beautiful Textured Impressions embossing folders ... this machine is a MUST HAVE !!
2) Stampin' Trimmer (#126889) - This brand new paper trimmer is the BOMB. It is so far above our old trimmer it is crazy !! It cuts so straight, scores, and my favourite feature ... has a nice wide cutting base so you don't need to extend the arm for your most used cuts !! Awesome !!

3) Stampin Scrub (#126200) & Stampin' Mist (#102394) - Its pretty important to keep your stamps nice and clean, and this dynamic duo does a FABULOUS job !! This new style scrub is bigger than the old one, and the fibres clean even the toughest stains left by StazOn and VersaMark !! Love it !!

4) Blender Pens (#102845) - I love to water-colour, and my go to tool for doing this are the Blender Pens !! They are so fun and easy to use, and even someone who doesn't know what they're doing in the water-colour department (like me) can look like a pro using these bad boys !!

5) Labels Collection Framelits (#125598) - I love ALL of the framelits (and edgelits), but I think my most used are these beautiful Labels. They layer so beautifully and I love the shape ! Stunning.

6) Scallop Oval (#119856) and Large Oval (#119855) Punches - This awesome duo of punches are one of my go to combos for sentiments! Lots of our sentiments fit in this Large Oval, and the Scallop Oval layers behind it so beautifully ... LOVE LOVE LOVE this set !!
7) Modern Label (#119849) and Word Window (119857) Punches - This is my second go to punch combo. This one fits all of the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamps, and lots of other small stamps. This gives a more modern or masculine look than the ovals -  great for masculine cards !!

8) Basic Rhinestones (#119246) and Pearls (#119247) - As you know, I love me a bit of bling ... and these little jewels are just perfection !! I can't choose if I like the Rhinestones or Peals best so, I use them both !! Hahaha

9) Mini Glue Dots (#103683) - These super little glue dots may be tiny, but they are SUPER sticky and hold on lots of things that regular adhesive can't ... buttons, ribbons, twine, glimmer paper ... They are just so great !! I use them a LOT, so I have a bunch on hand at all times. Hahaha

10) Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430) - Last, but not least ... something I use on EVERY SINGLE project I make ... the "can't live without" dimensionals !! There is nothing like dimension to add that WOW to your projects ... and these fit the bill perfectly !!

Well, here are just a few of the things I can't live without ... hahaha ... I could go on forever, but .... Thanks for coming by today !! Any of these items can be found in my online store ... so come on over if you are running short on something or if you see a new product that you would love to try !! Have a great day and Happy Stamping !!

Pretty Pastel Keepsake Ornaments

Hey Stampers,

As I haven't had any time to put any Christmas decorations up yet (I am going to start on my day off tomorrow), I have been getting into the Christmas mood by listening to a LOT of Christmas music and making more cards !! LOL With all of the Christmas crafting, you can get sick or Red and Green PRETTY quickly. So, I also love making Christmas stuff with some more out there color choices. My card today uses some pretty pastel colors; a color combo of Pretty In Pink, Wisteria Wonder, pool Party and Silver !! LOVE ow it turned out too !! Have a look !!

Doesn't that just jump out at you !! Against a backdrop of all the other red and green cards someone will receive, that will just pop !! And the sparkly silver is just too gorgeous !! I picked 3 of the larger ornament images from the Ornament Keepsakes stamp set, and stamped them in my pretty colors. Then I ran them through my Big Shot and die cut them with the Holiday Ornaments framelits. Beautiful !! My main layer is some of the yummy Brushed Silver cardstock ... it's hard to tell from the picture, but it really shimmers !! I embossed the sentiment from the Delightful Dozen stamp set in White Embossing Powder using my VersaMark and Heat Tool. Love how elegant the scripty font is !!

The ornaments here have 3 different degrees of dimension (LOL). The Pretty In Pink one is stuck down using snail, the Pool Party one has dimensionals and the Wisteria Wonder ornament uses 2 layers of dimensionals !! Really nice and 3D looking. Before I added my ornaments though, I attached my 3/8" Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon. Love that stuff !! For my "ornament hooks" I used some thin strips of the Silver Glimmer Paper. Really adds some fun sparkle ! Some Basic rhinestones added to the Wisteria Wonder ornament completed the "bling trifecta" making this card super sparkly !! All of this got put onto a Wisteria Wonder card base and then it was finished. Lots of elements but essentially a simple card to create!

Thanks for dropping by today !! Maybe you can try to think "outside the box" in the color department for some of the Christmas cards you make this year ! Have a great day and Happy Stamping !!

No Peeking Window Frames Bag

Hey Stampers,

After my Mini Retreat this weekend, I am WAY in the Christmas spirit !! And I still have a couple people on my Christmas Gift List that I don't know what to get for them./ So I thought a really cute (handmade) gift bag with some treats inside would be perfect !! I created this bag MYSELF !! Hahaha. It's made using the Window Frames framelits and decorated with Snow Festival DSP and the No Peeking stamp set. I love it !! Take a look !!

Isn't that beyond sweet ?!!? Also not TOO difficult. I cut a couple of the biggest framelit with Gumball Green cardstock. Then I scored them on the bottom, right where the little corners poke out. I then layered the next size down framelit (cut out with DSP) right on top. I made a little box for the inside out of Gumball Green as well, about 2" wide, scored at 1/4" on both long sides and attached to the die cuts. I then added 2 cardstock strips (decorated with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punched DSP) to the top as little handles. I adhered them with some adhesive and some brads to make them extra sturdy Then it just needed to be decorated !!

This picture just shows a side view, to show how wide the bag is. A lot of stuff can be held in here !!

For the decorating, I cut out one of the little 3" square "pictures" from the Snow Festival DSP. There is a big sheet of these little cards that are great for note cards or gift tags (I made gift tags with mine, I will post them on a blog post soon ...) I loved the words pattern of this one, so used it as a background. I matted it on a small square of Basic Black cardstock to really make it pop. The second smallest Window Frame got cut out 3 times; once in Whisper White (which I ran through my Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder) and twice in Cherry Cobbler. I used the Cherry ones to mat the White one, but cutting them in half and leaving a little border visible on the edges. I coloured the penguin from the No Peeking stamp set with my markers, stamped him onto Whisper White an fussy cut him out with my Paper Snips. A little tag from the Tiny Tags set punched out with the Jewelry Tag punch added the perfect touch !! Love this project !!

Thanks for dropping by today, and I hope you enjoyed my little bag !! Why don't you make one to give away to someone special this Christmas ?!!? Have a great day and Happy Stamping !!

And of course ... we had some snacks ... hahaha

Here is the "Inspiration Table". I brought all of the Christmas cards I have made so far, and set them up on this little table in the centre of the room. Then the girls would get ideas from them or whatever. This was a big hit !!

My table ...

Petite Purse Gift Basket

 Hey Stampers,

I am SUPER excited because tomorrow is my All Day Mini Stamping Retreat !! Yay !! Me and my club girls have a hall booked and we are going to go really early and stay ALL day making projects !! Woot woot !! We are all bringing all our own stuff and just going to town making Christmas cards, gift tags, presents and anything else we can think of ! We are having lunch and snacks too ... it's going to be SO great !! Very exciting. My project today is my hostess gift from my Stamp Club this month. It uses the Petite Purse Die and I made the cutest little gift basket holder thing with it !! Take a look !!

Isn't that cute !?! It uses 4 of the petite purse die cut (I cut them in Gumball Green) and I cut some of the pieces off, the big tab on the side, the whole front (the piece with the slit) and the tab on the purse part. See the image below, I was left with only the bottom flap, the back with the skinny tab and the rounded top. Get it ?? I then attached all of the pieces together using Sticky Strip on the skinny side tab, folded over the 4 bottom tabs on the bottom (like a box bottom) and folded over the rounded tops to be the fronts. rather easy actually !! Then I needed to decorate !!

I used the Be of Good Cheer DSP and my Scallop Oval Punch to fancy up the sides a bit. This snowflake pattern is my favourite from that paper pack. Then I put the smallest snowflake from the Snow Flurry Die on these Scalloped Ovals, using the Silver Glimmer Paper. So beautiful !! Love that Glimmer Paper.  Then the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch in Cherry Cobbler acted as my basket handle. It was easy to adhere to the box with a few Mini Glue Dots.

The cellophane bag held some YUMMY Chocolate Covered Pretzels, and I decorated the bag with this little tag I made using the Mixed Medley Hostess Stamp Set. I then attached it to the bag with some Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine. So adorable !!

I hope you like my project today !! It would be a great gift for a teacher, co-worker or a friend. And very easy to decorate for any occasion !! Thanks for dropping by today and Happy Stamping !!

Frosty Friends are Snow Much Fun !!

Hey Stampers !!

BRRRRR!! It's COLD out today !! I even had to scrape my car's windshield !! GROSS !! Oh well, it is starting to be that time of year. Frost and Snow. Which brings me to the card for today!! It uses the ADORABLE single stamp from the Holiday Catalogue, Frosty Friends !! Believe me, when I first saw this stamp ... I KNEW I had to grab it !! I love anything with snowmen on it ... And this cute stamp was no exception !! And at only $14.95 ... how can you pass it up !?!? Well, have a look at what I created using this sweet stamp ...

How stinking cute is that !?! Those snowmen are SO sweet !! I love 'em. My favs are the "Mama and Baby" snowmen ... LOL. This image on its own would be cute for a winter birthday card for a mother don't you think !?!? Inspiration has struck !! Hahahaha. I inked up the stamp in Jet Black StazOn and stamped it onto Whisper White. Then I used my blender pen to color in all the cute details. I used a bunch of colors; including Pumpkin Pie, Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party, Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo and Cherry Cobbler. I also used Bashful Blue to do the "sky" to make the snowmen look like they were outside (where else would snowmen be !?!? Hahaha)

The beautiful Delicate Designs folder (one of the 2 you get in the pack) reminded me of snowflakes, so I embossed my Pool Party layer with it. This got added to an Island Indigo card base, to match the mat on the stamped image. I stamped the fun sentiment from the Snow Much Fun stamp set in Jet Black StazOn and punched it out with the Modern Label punch. I added a little piece of the cute 3/8" Island Indigo Ruffled Ribbon behind it just to make it really pop. Love that ribbon !!

Well, this is my quick and easy card for today. I love those snowmen !! They are so cute I ca hardly stand it !! Hahaha. Hope you like them too !! Thanks for stopping by today and Happy Stamping !!

Affection Collection for Christmas

Hey Stampers,

Well, its Monday again! Another week gone. LOL Only 35 days till Christmas !! Can you believe it !! I am SO excited !! It seems like its coming so quickly !! Love it !! So, expect a lot more Christmas projects in the few short weeks leading up !! My card today is a semi-CASE from the super uber talented Heather Summers (www.stampwithheather.typepad.com) I LOVE her work, and the inspiration for this card is no exception. It uses the Affection Collection stamp set, and you know I love a Christmas card that can use a "non Christmas" stamp set !! So lets get to it, take a look !!

Isn't that lovely !?! And so simple to do !! First I will talk about my embellished piece on the bottom. A piece of Pool Party got "spattered" with the Color Spritzer tool and my Crumb Cake marker. I then added the beautiful Finishing Touches edgelit to the bottom in Early Espresso. A piece of 1/2" Scallop Dots ribbon in Cherry Cobbler with some 5/8" Crochet Trim layered on top finish off the top edge. A few small banners peek out from under these ribbons; one in the Be of Good Cheer DSP, one in First Edition DSP and a cute Crumb Cake one embossed with the Snow Burst embossing folder. This piece was also sponged with some Whisper White Craft Ink to make those little snowflakes pop. I then added  a Bronze Button tied with some Linen Thread and a little pearl to one of the banners. LOVE this piece !!

My Crumb Cake card base was spritzed with Early Espresso marker and then the lovely stamp from Affection Collection was stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink. The Merry Christmas from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set was stamped on a scrap of Very Vanilla and punched out with the Word Window punch before being added to the image. After adding my embellished banner piece, I punched out a cute little star with the Merry Minis Punch Pack. A little pearl in its centre finishes off this sweet card !

I hope you liked my card today !! I love this color combo of Early Espresso, Pool Party, Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler. Traditional colors with that splash of Pool Party (hahaha ... splash ... pool ... LOL) is really fun, don't you think !?! Thanks for dropping by today and Happy Stamping !!

Apothecary Christmas

Hey Stampers !!

Happy Weekend !! Hope you are enjoying one of the few weekend left before the REAL hustle and bustle of the Christmas season starts !! Although, if you are planning to get some shopping done ... that hustle and bustle has been happening for a while now !! LOL I have another Christmas card to share with you today !! I recently received the Apothecary Art stamp set, its been on my Wish List for ages but I just got around to ordering it !! I wanted to use it, but also wanted it add to my Christmas card stash ... so I decided to kill 2 birds with one stone !! I love making Christmas projects using a stamp set that wouldn't be a traditional Christmas choice ... look at what I came up with !!

I really love how this turned out ! I decided to make the ring of roses into a Christmas Wreath. I stamped this image in Early Espresso (and let it dry for a bit) and then carefully used my Blender Pen to watercolor the wreath in Cherry Cobbler and Gumball Green ink. I then stamped my Merry Christmas from the More Merry Messages set using Early Espresso ink and my Stamp-a-ma-jig to make sure it got right in that banner section. It is a tiny bit crooked, but I am fine with it ! I also watercolored the edge of the banner in Early Espresso ink. After I thought I was done, I still thought the image was too blah. So I used my Crumb Cake ink and Blender Pen to fill in the rest of the image ... THEN I loved it !! Really warmed up the rest of the label shape and made the Vanilla of the banner pop !!

I then hand cut out the image, so I wouldn't have a Vanilla border on the outside of image. Then I die cut a Gumball Green Label framelit and adhered them together. The Cherry Cobbler DSP is from the Be of Good Cheer paper pack, and I love it. A piece of Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon was attached to the DSP, and then I added a bow with a Mini Glue Dot. I find it a lot easier with the seam binding ribbon to add a bow after for some reason. LOL This all got layered onto an Early Espresso card base, a couple dimensionals for my Label focal point, a couple of pearls and voila !! LOVE this card. Especially where I used a "non Christmas" set to achieve it !!

Well, I hope you liked my project today !! Thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend and Happy Stamping !!

Lovely as a Keepsake Ornament

Hey Stampers,

Well, November Stam CLub is tonight and I am SO excited !! Nothing better than a night out having fun stamping, chatting and having a lunch !! LOL I really wanted to use the fabulous Ornament Keepsakes bundle, but I had a hard time deciding which card to use !! The set and framelits are so beautiful and versatile ... its hard deciding on just ONE project to make with them !! LOL. I can up with one that also uses the Lovely as a Tree set, and I really love how it turned out ... take a look !!

Isn't that great ?!? Firs ti i took the fir tree from the Lovely as a Tree set and inked it up in Old Olive. I turned it sideways and stamped on my Whisper White to make it look like the branches of a Christmas Tree ... love that look !! Nothing like finding another use for an already well used stamp set, right ?? The sentiment from the More Merry Messages set was also stamped in Old Olive ink. I then stamped directly on the paper the smaller ornament (and my personal favorite from the Keepsake Ornaments set) in Night of Navy ink. The larger ornament was stamped in Riding Hood Red onto a scrap piece of paper and ran through my Big Shot with the Holiday Ornaments framelits. Then I popped it up on some dimensionals. I used the 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon in Real Red and (retired) Night of Navy to add a small bow to the top of each ornament. Love that skinny ribbon !! A couple of Rhinestones, and its done !! So beautiful ...

I dont take pictures of the inside of cards often, but this one was so lovely I just had to !! Love that tiny branch and ornament in the corner, don't you ?? And of course the lovely verse is also from the More Merry Messages stamp set. Beautiful !

Well, thats my card for today. I hope you liked it !! If you want to make some cards like this, let me know ... I would love to have you at one of my events or for you to have a workshop of your own !! Thanks for stopping by today and Happy Stamping !

No Peeking Gift Box

Hey Stampers !!

My November Stamp Club is this week, and I am showing you one of the projects we are making ! I saw a box sort of like this in Stampin' Success (the awesome bi-monthly demo only magazine) and I thought it was SO adorable !! It uses the Kraft Boxes, which are great fir giving little gifts and treats. I had never used them before, and I am now hooked ! They are so cute and fun ! The stamp set I used is No Peeking, one of my fav kid-like Christmas sets, which is in the Annual Catalogue. Lots of great fun elements on this project ... have a look !!

Isn't it so sweet ?!? I kind of fiddled with the box a bit, by cutting of the top of the box so I could make the side flaps point up. More room in the box and a bit more interesting to look at too ... LOL After assembling the box, I added two 3/4" strips of Be Of Good Cheer DSP. You need more than the 12" to go around the box, so I added another 3" piece and that did it. The joins can be hidden beneath the bow.

This tag was made using the Delicate Doilies Sizzlet Die. This is the biggest one and is my favorite of the 3 on the die. Isn't it so stunning !?!? I used Gumball Green for this piece, and then had a Cherry Cobbler 1-3/4" Scallop Circle that I cut in half to go behind my stamped image. Thus set comes with a few really cute images, but I chose the Snowman for this project. I colored him in using my Stampin Write Markers in Early Espresso, Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake. I then stamped him onto Very Vanilla and cropped him out with the Labels Collection Framelits. A tiny flower from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack and a pearl on his hat finishes off his cuteness. I then punched some holed in the flaps of the box with the 1/16" Handheld Circle Punch and used some Early Espresso Bakers Twine to attach him to the box. Tied in a bow, the twine is hoe you open and close the box as well.

This is a shot of the other flap of the box. This sentiment comes from the No Peeking set as well (obviously ... hahaha) and adds some more whimsey to this fun project.

Here is my SO CUTE Paper Bow !! Isn't that adorable !?!? And it is SO easy. You need 5 strips of Be Of Good Cheer DSP )or any paper really); measuring 8", 6", two 3" and a 2". All of mine were 1" wide. You take the 2 longest (in my case the 8" and 6") and put some Snail on both ends, then bring the to the middle to make your loops. Then attach these to pieces together. The 2" piece gets adhesive all on the back and get wrapped around the middle to look like the square part of the bow. Then the two 3" pieces get the banner flag ends and gets stuck to the back to look like the parts of the bow that hang down. And thats it !! I adhered the bow to the box using a couple dimensionals. Love this little bow !! It would be great to add to a gift bag or a Christmas gift as well, don't you think ?!?

Well, I hope you liked my project today !! There was a lot of things to highlight, but I think they all went together pretty well !! Thanks for dropping by today and Happy Stamping !!

Best Friends Forever Frame

Hey Stampers,

Good Day !! Sorry I was missing for a couple days, we went to "Town" to do some Christmas shopping, and just got back last night !! I think I am now well prepared for Christmas, and only have a few small odds and ends left to get !! Yay !! While I was in town, I had a visit with an old friend of mine ; Kim. She had a little baby girl last month and she is SO sweet !! Todays project is something I made to out in her Nursery, but I think its cute enough to be in her room for years to come ... what do you think !?!?

Sweet hey !?!? Its semi similar to my Little Girl Home Decor, but on a smaller scale and a bit more Baby. LOL. I used the (sadly retired) Best Friends Forever stamp set for the cute vine image and the heart image. My well loved Broadsheet Alphabet set spells out her sweet name, Kiley. My color combo is Rose Red, Pink Pirouette and Certainly Celery. Sweet for a little girl, right ?? Here are some vlose up pictures to highlight some of the elements !!

I love how the Broadsheet Alphabet makes the name look fun and whimsical. The heart image was cut out by hand, as it is a lot smaller than the Full heart punch. The pretty Pink Pirouette 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon adds the perfect touch.

This flower was SO easy to make !! I used Pretty In Pink dsp (from the Subtles DSP Stack) as I found the Pink Pirouette was a bit too light. I punched out 2 flowers from the Blossom Punch, a 1-3/4" Scallop Circle and a 1-1/4" Scallop Circle. I snipped the scallops at every 2 scallops so they would look more like petals. I then sponged all the edges with Pretty In Pink ink and fluffed the petals up with my Bone Folder. They were all layered together with dimensionals, and a Certainly Celery scallop from the Boho Blossoms punch was out in the centre with a Rhinestone to finish it off. The leaves were punched from the Bird Punch with Certainly Celery cardstock. Love how it turned out !! So beautiful.

The delicate butterflies are from the Papillon Potpourri set. The big one was stamped in Pink Pirouette and punched out with the Elegant Butterfly punch. The smaller ones were inked in both Rose Red and Certainly Celery and I cut those out by hand. A few Rhinestones were put in the centre to bling them up. They were adhered to the outside of the frame with some Mini Glue Dots ... those things can stick to anything !! So easy.

Well, thats my project for today !! I hope you liked it !! A hope decor project like this is SO easy and quick to make, but packs a real punch !! Hope you try to make something like this for your home as well !! Thanks a lot for stopping by today and Happy Stamping !!

Merry & Bright Card

Hey Stampers !

Well, there was SNOW on the ground when I woke up this morning.  So of course, that means I started watching Love Actually. LOL Christmas Movies are sort of an addiction of mine. I LOVE them and there are like, 30 of them I watch every year (some more than once). So, I guess that has started for me already this year !! Hahaha. Last night, my friend Louise came up to do some stamping with me !! I made 4 Christmas cards too !! Pretty good for one evenings work !! Here is one of them. I CASEd this idea from Mindy Bingamon over at www.badabingpapercrafting.blogspot.com. She is one of my FAVORITE stampers ever and I use her projects for inspiration all the time !! Here is my version of her card ...

Don's you love it !?! So simple and fun. I am so in love with the Merry Minis stamp set and matching Merry Mini Punch Pack. So quick and simple ! I stamped the ornament stamps in Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Marina Mist and Old Olive and then punched them out with the matching punch. The scalloped "tree branch" was die cut with the Large Scallop Edgelit in Old Olive. I then broke out my Essentials Paper Piercing Pack, to highlight those scallops and make my ornament strings.   Love how the line of pierced holes mimic strings or hooks, but keep the card clean and simple.

The Happy Christmas sentiment comes from the More Merry Messages stamp set. I am getting GREAT milage out of this awesome set this Christmas, a complete must have. The Early Espresso bakers twine at the top is made super cute with the addition of a Daffodil Delight button and a bow. Love it !! I put a Crumb Cake layer onto a Crumb Cake card base, but to jazz it up a bit I sponged the layer with my Whisper White Craft Ink. A nice snowy touch I think !!really makes it pop !!

Well, I hope you like my Christmas Card today !! Thanks a lot for stopping by and Happy Stamping !!

Gently Falling Anniversary

Hey Stampers !!

It is a super fall day here today, even bordering on winter! LOL Very frosty and cold! All the leaves are gone from the trees and everything !! The card I am showing you today makes me think of those leaves. It uses the Gently Falling stamp set and its an anniversary card I gave to my Uncle David and Lin (I don't call her my Aunt cause she is only a couple years older than me ... she is my friend really LOL). Her favorite color is purple so I knew I wanted to use one of our purples, and I saw a card like this over on Yvette Ashe 's blog (www.yvettespapergarden.wordpress.com). When I saw her card, I knew I wanted to CASE it !! Here is my version !!

Isn't it so nice !?!? The color combo is Perfect Plum, elegant Eggplant, More Mustard and So Saffron. The background pieces are all stamped with the En Francias background stamp, which I always think is so romantic. I then used my Color Spritzer tool to make the spatters over the En Francais images. Gives it a more aged look. Love that ! The sentiment is from the Loving Thoughts stamp set, which I put on a banner shape. But the REAL star of the show here are those beautiful leaves !! Here is a close up look:

GORGEOUS !! I used my Stampin' Write Markers to color the background of the leaf. Thats how I got that mottled look. After I stamped that on some Very Vanilla I embossed the outline stamp with GOLD embossing powder !! Didn't it turn out great ?!?! Its always common knowledge usually to stamp an outline in a darker color, but I think this pup of shimmer with the gold is the perfect touch !! It looks so rich. Love how it turned out !! And it goes great with the other colors. Beautiful !!

Then I added a couple Antique Brads and some Seam Binding Ribbon and it was all done !! A very impressive card! Love how it turned out. Thanks for dropping by today ! Have a good one and Happy Stamping !!

Champagne Snow Flurry

Hey Stampers !!

How are you today !?! It is pouring down rain here today, and that always makes me wish I was home all cozy with fuzzy pajamas on. LOL Perfect "Stamping" weather !! I got a few HOURS of stamping in last night !! Jackson went to bed at 6pm ... didn't even have his supper !! He fell asleep on the couch watching TV with my hubby. Must be pretty tired to fall asleep before eating !! LOL So, after supper was all cleared away I had a full night to myself !! I created and prepped one of my projects for Stamp CLub next week, as well as doing a couple more Christmas cards !! I am showing you my favourite card that I made last night ... I am in love with it !! What do you think ??

Isn't it stunning !?! I am so in love with that Champagne Glimmer paper. Is it so sparkly and rich in color. I did the biggest and smallest snow flakes from the Snow Flurry die in the glimmer paper and the middle snowflake in Bashful Blue. I pulled my color combo of Bashful Blue, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso from this DSP from the Festival of Prints Mini Stack. LOVE that paper !! So many great patterns and for only $8.50 !! Can't beat that !!

The Crumb Cake layer is embossed with the (sadly retired) Snow Burst embossing folder. I was DEVASTATED when that one didn't carry over !! Such a beautiful texture ... and it matches this DSP perfectly !! Not much stamping on this card, but the little sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set and was punched out with the Word Window punch. I was going to stamp it onto Very Vanilla, but decided to do the Bashful Blue instead. Its not often I make a card with no Whisper White or Very Vanilla !! But I think it turned out so good.

Thanks for dropping by today !! I love this card a lot ... hope you like it too !! Have a great day and Happy Stamping !!
