Carry On

Hey Stampers !

WAY back in May (hahaha) when I first got to see some sneak peaks for the Annual Catalogue, the Hostess seat called "Carry On' was on my ULTIMATE must have list !! I love this Pop Culture phenomenon (I mean you have to call it that right?). You see this "Keep Calm and Carry On", or whatever they are telling you to keep calm and do, on everything now a days. T-shirts, mugs, posters, magnets ... and it has taken over the internet !! I think it is so cute and just love it. So as soon as I saw the so clever stamp set paying homage to it, I knew I had to have it !! What do you think ??

Unfortunately, it was made UNavailable almost as soon as the catalogue went live !! Some legal battle with some man saying he owned the "copyright" to something that has been owned by the British Government since World War II. BUT its all cleared up now, and its available again !! In celebration, I made this card ...

Cute hey !?!? The biggest problem with this stamp set is trying to decide which saying to use !! I went with the cupcake this time, makes a great birthday card !! My Apothecary Accents framelits are showcased in this card as well. I can't seem to STOP using them !! And this color combo of Rich Razzleberry, Baja Breeze, Island Indigo and Early Espresso is so fun. I love it !!

Well, I hope you enjoyed todays card !! And if you want to own the Carry On (Hostess Exclusive) stamp set, either place a $200 order with me or book a party !! When you do that, you earn Hostess Benefits to spend on anything you want, including a bunch of Exclusive Hostess Only Stamp Sets !! I promise you, you won't regret it !! Have a great day and Happy Stamping !!

Storybook Friends for Baby

Hey Stampers !!

So, today I was invited to a baby shower. A good friend that I work with, her daughter is having a baby girl! So, of course that means I got to break out some PINK stuff !! But, I didn't go overboard on pink. Just on cute !! Hahaha. I saw a similar layout using this set on Stampin Connection (the exclusive Demo Only website ... that is TOTALLY awesome ... LOL) and thought I would try my hand at it !! Here is what I came up with !!

Along with the Storybook Friends stamp set, I knew I wanted to use this beautiful paper from the Twitterpated DSP along with the beautiful matching Fancy Fan embossing folder somehow. And for a little baby, I needed a soft and subtle color combo. I think the Pink Pirouette, So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Baja Breeze and Soft Suede are so adorable together.

I stamped the cute animals in Soft Suede and did a tiny bit of watercoloring with my blender pen. I then punched them out with the 1-1/4" Circe Punch and layered them on 1-3/8" Circle Punches. I also got to use my brand new Itty Bitty Banners stamp set and Bitty Banners Framelits. Love that cute sentiment !!  I also got to use the Vintage Faceted Buttons for the first time, and they are SO beautiful. And where I was hand delivering his card, the added bulk didn't really matter. Bonus !!

I love how this card turned out. Very soft and pretty for a new baby girl. Hope you liked it too and will come back soon !! Happy Stamping !

Dinoroar Birthday

Hey Stampers !!

Well, today's card ALMOST didn't get made !! Like I told you yesterday, Jackson has 2 birthday parties to go to today. And I almost forgot to make this one !! It was 10pm before I remembered !! My Dad and Sister in Law were up for supper and we were playing with Jackson and after I put him to bed, we were all out on the patio chatting when I said "OMG I HAVE A CARD TO MAKE!!" LOL I jumped up and ran to my Stamping Room, and this is what I came up with !! I don't know if being under pressure is good for my creative juices or not, but I LOVE this card !! The layout is so cool and I love those little Dinosaurs !! See for yourself !!

What do you think ?? Now, this is a much larger card than I usually do. But I wanted to out three of these awesome Window Frames framelit die cuts across here, so it needed to be BIG. And I mean, this is a DINO card ... needs to be big right !?!? Hahaha. I took a piece of Early Espresso card stock that measured 8" square, and scored it in half to get my 4" x 8" card base.

I stamped the 3 cute dinosaurs in Early Espresso ink and then used my blender pen to color them. I love this color combo, which I pulled from the stripped DSP which is from the Storybook paper pack. The combo is Pool Party, Riding Hood Red and Wild Wasabi. I also used a bit of Pretty In Pink, So Saffron and Sahara Sand for some of their accents. But I think the star of this show are those awesome Window Frames Framelits embossed with the Houndstooth embossing folder. What a great layer for the back of those 1-3/4" Circle punched Dinosaurs !! Love it.

Well, thanks for dropping by today !! Hope you have an awesome weekend and Happy Stamping !!

Perfectly Preserved Sneak Peak !!

Hey Stampers !!

Happy Friday !! I am working this weekend (boo hoo) but Jackson is still going to TWO birthday parties on Saturday !! Yay for my sister in law being able to take him. LOL So, I have 2 cards to make for little kids, one boy and one girl. I made one of them last night. I was pretty excited to make a little girl card, where I always do boy things, so doing something pink and pretty is a treat !! I also wanted to use some more sneak peaks from the Holiday Catalogue, so I had that little challenge for myself. I am REALLY happy with how it turned out ... what do you think !?!?

Isn't it sweet ?? I used the brand new Perfectly Preserved stamp set for this one. It is an ADORABLE set that is all centred around that cute mason jar !! It has flowers and fruit and vegetables; but I saw this cute idea with the butterflies on Justin Kreiger's blog (www.jkcards.wordpress.com). I remember when I was a little girl I would catch butterflies in mason jars and put them on a shelf in my room. I would feel bad after a little while and set the free, but it is totally something I associate with my childhood.

I knew I wanted to use Regal Rose as the pink; and I love the way Pool Party and So Saffron go with it. Very pretty for a little girl. And my well used and loved Beautiful Wings Embosslit makes the sweetest little butterflies. And I used Dazzline Details to sparkle them up. Can't have a little girl card without some bling !!! LOL

Well, thanks for dropping by today !! Have a great weekend and Happy Stamping !!

Friendship Preserves SNEAK PEAK !!

Hey Stampers !!

Well, last night was my July Stamp Club meeting, and we had a GREAT time !! Made 2 awesome projects, had a few laughs, had a GREAT lunch (thanks to our Hostess Barb, my sister in law) and just an overall awesome night out !! I am not working today, so I get to hang out with my little boy all day - even though I do have to tackle some housework and try to get some shopping in. Boo. LOL

My card today uses a BUNCH of new items from the Holiday Catalogue that goes live August 1st. I am IN LOVE with so much of the new catalogue, but my favourite items are from the Orchard Harvest Suite. This collection uses the amazing Orchard Harvest dsp and some great stamp sets and accessories. One of the stamp sets is the one I used on todays project called Friendship Preserves. Check it out !!

Isn't it cute?! The 4 images in this set coordinate with the Window Frames framelits. They say things like "Hello", "Preserved Just for You", "Homemade Yum from the Heart" and this so sweet "Thanks A Bunch". I can just see these images used as tags on delicious homemade baked treats or a bottle of jam. But today, I used it on a card !! And you can now actually buy the new framelits and stamp sets in the Holiday Catalogue in a BUNDLE !! Buy them both and you get them for a 15% discount !! Nothing wrong with that !!

One of the other sneak peaks on this card is the beautiful Orchard Harvest dsp. The colors in this suite are Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, Island Indigo, More Mustard, Lucky Limeade and Raspberry Ripple. Beautiful fall colors, but with some more vibrant ones thrown in. My Raspberry Ripple layer has been embossed with the new Woodgrain textured impressions folder. It is SUCH a beautiful folder, I can see it quickly being one of my go-to's. And last but not least, that gorgeous Bronze Button. They come in a pack of 16 and are all this BIG size. Love them !!!

Well thanks for dropping by today. Have a great day and Happy Stamping !!!

I Am .....

Hey Stampers !!

As I was telling you a few posts ago, last week was Stampin' Up! Convention in Salt Lake City !! I have been DEVOURING all of the info from there, and I can't wait until next year ... hoping I can go for SU's 25th Anniversary !! Should be a great time !!

Their theme for Convention this year was "I Am" and they even had a Convention song !! Here is a cute video the people who work in the Home Office in Riverton, Utah made of themselves "singing" the song ...

Isn't that cute !! I can't get this song out of me head !! Hope you enjoyed it, and if you think convention looks like fun ... come with me next year !! Just join my team and we can go have fun in Salt Lake together !! LOL

Happy Stamping !!

Blooming With Kindness

Hey Stampers !!

I am still in that awesome place where I haven't used all of my new products yet, so it feels like every day in my Stamp Room is new a new rubber day !! LOL My card today uses the AWESOME Blooming With Kindness set and a SNEAK PEAK from the upcoming Holiday Catalogue (goes live August 1st) the Window Frames Framelits !!! I LOVE these guys, check it out !!

What do you think !?! I wanted to go for  shabby chic look with this card, so of course I had to break out my sponges !! I am REALLY organized, so I have a little wedge of sponge for each SU color. I use a 1-1/4" Circle Punch (in the co-ordinating color of cardstock) folded in half and staple it over an 1/8th of a Stamping Sponge. I then label it with my P-Touch Label Maker (LOVE that thing) and voila !! A sponge dedicated to a certain color !! It works great. I sponged my main image (the gorgeous flower die cut) in Soft Suede ink around the edge, and brought some More Mustard ink in close to the stamped image. I love how then the Very Vanilla seen through the petals looks really nice and bright!

I am IN LOVE with these Window Frames framelits. Such a beautiful shape, and they are HUGE !! My Cajun Craze die cut is as wide as my card, and its not even the biggest one in the set !! Woo hoo !! I see LOTS of great things I can do with these framelits. I love how the sentiment looks on the tiny one as well, so adorable. And the new Festive Paper Piercing Pack (also in the Holiday Catalogue) has these images included in it, doesn't that piercing look great ?? I turned the image upside-down when I did it, so the holes would be raised and catch the sponged ink.

The strip of DSP is from the beautiful Comfort Cafe paper pack. And see the shape on it !?!? It matches the framelit shape !! So cool. It might be hard to tell in the picture, but I did something a little different when I inked up this main flower image. I inked it up first in More Mustard and then quickly dabbed it onto the Cajun Craze ink pad. It gives the color a more two tone and softer look than just full strength Cajun Craze. I wanted it to look soft and aged, and More Mustard fits that bill !!

Thanks for dropping by to see my card today !! I am really pleased with how it turned out. Come back soon and Happy Stamping !!

Reason to Smile for Stamp Club

Hey Stampers !!!

Hope you all had a great weekend !! We went to our cabin for a couple days, and had a great time !! Last week, my sister in law sealed the pine walls and painted the wainscotting, and then my wonderful hubby put down our new laminate flooring over there and it looks SO great !! We love it. Now we just need to put all our new mouldings up and we will be finished !! Well, finished for THIS summer anyways. LOL Next summer we will do out fireplace mantle and kitchen cabinets. THEN we will be finished !! I has been a looooong process, but it is turning out totally worth it !!

My July Stamp Club is only DAYS away !! I can't wait for Wednesday to show my girls our cute projects !! Of course, todays project uses the July Only Exclusive stamp set Reason to Smile ! I love this set, and it is such a great deal at only $5 with a $60 order !! Take a look !!

Isn't it sweet !! I got this great layout from Shannon Jaramillo over at www.ezpeasycards.com I LOVE it !! And this awesome dsp is from the Patio Party pack. Those butterflies are SO awesome, and as you can tell, a little of it makes a big impact ! I also really love this colour combo, Primrose Petals, Old Olive, Midnight Muse and Basic Grey. For the flowers, I coloured the background stamp on the petals part ONLY with a Primrose Petals marker, stamped off and then stamped it. I then colored the outline stamp with the Primrose Petals and Old Olive markers. I like the look of the stem being only an outline, gives the petals a bigger impact I think. Also, easier to only line up the petals instead of the petals AND stem. LOL

For some reason, I hardly ever use grey but when I do it looks SO great !! Especially with pink !! The beautiful sentiment is from the Loving Thoughts stamp set, which is loaded with awesome sentiments in this beautiful font. And you might remember from some of my other projects, that I love when the 2-1/2" Circle Punch layers on this scallop circle from the Perfect Pennants Bigz Die. Such a great focal point !!

Well, I hope you enjoyed my project today !! Drop by again and Happy Stamping !!

Papillon Potpourri

Hey Stampers !!

I feel like this week is FLYING by. How is it Friday already !?! Last night we went to my fathers for Lobster Supper (YUMMY) and didn't leave until late (well, late when you have a 22 month old anyways ... hahaha) and we are going to our cabin for the weekend (after I get off work at 5) so it seems like I haven't stopped all week!! Trying to prep for Stamp Club on Wednesday, pack for the cabin, out for dinner, WORK, be a Mommy, etc. I am pooped !! But, I love being busy too. Nothing like a full life !!

My project for today is one of the cards we will be making at Stamp Club next week !! I had a REALLY hard time trying to decide which stamp sets to use. I know right !?!? Such a troubled life ... LOL. But, I finally decided to use the SO beautiful Papillon Potpourri and matching Elegant Butterfly punch. I must admit, I was pretty sad when they retired the old Butterfly punch ... but as soon as I saw what was replacing it I was OVER THE MOON !! it is so stunning ... see for yourself !!

Gorgeous or what !?!? I love how "realistic" the butterflies are. Now, there are some more "fun" styled butterflies in this set as well, but I love this one. Look at the rest of the set:

I think this is going to be SUCH a favourite set. I just love it !! And of course, a matching punch !! I also got to play with some framelits, my well used (already) Apothecary Accents framelits and my brand new Bitty Banners framelits. I also used the cool new Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack. LOVE the subtle detail that adds !! I really hope my girls love making this card !! And one of my fav colour combos is used here, Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade, Real Red and Daffodil Delight. So bright and summery !!

Thanks for dropping by and Happy Stamping !!

Elements of Style Butterfly

Hey There Stampers !!

It seems like Summer is just FLYING by doesn't it !?!? I mean, its the middle of July !! I am a little sad this week, because it is Stampin' Up! Convention in Salt Lake and I'm not there !! LOL. As a demo, Convention seems to be a little like Christmas in July (from what I have heard and seen), and I am REALLY hoping I can fit it into my schedule next year !! Fingers crossed !!

My card today uses the beautiful stamp set Elements of Style. It had been on my wish list for a LONG time, but I only just bought it a few months ago. And boy am I glad I did !! It is so versatile and elegant. Love it !! It also uses the amazing Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die for the Big Shot. Take a look !!

Stunning right !?!? That big, huge butterfly makes SUCH an impact. I die cut the butterfly in Very Vanilla cardstock and then stamped the gorgeous flower image all over it with Jet Black StazOn ink. I then watercolored the flowers and leaves with my blender pen using Primrose Petals and Old Olive ink. To add a bit more dimension, I then went over the flowers again in certain spots using my Stampin' Write markers. Adds a LOT of shading and makes it look great I think ! It might be hard to see in the picture, but I then spritzed the butterfly with the retorted Blushing Bride Smooch Spritz. Really sparkly and a bit more pink. Can never have too much pink right !?!? LOL I am also really loving this colour combo of Basic Black, Old Olive and Primrose Petals. Elegant and classy I think. And I love the addition of the Finishing Touches edgelit and the satin ribbon. Love that edgelit !!

Well, thanks a lot for dropping by today and Happy Stamping !!

Always Elegant

Hey There Stampers !!

It feels SO good to be back !! I had an AMAZING time in NYC this weekend, and even had to stay for an extra day because our flight got cancelled due to weather in Toronto !! So, a little bonus there !! LOL But now back to real life, and of course real life means stamping !! LOL

My card for today uses a retired stamp set called Always Elegant. I like giving away retired product (stamp sets, dsp, ribbon, etc) as door prizes at my workshops, and this is my one for this month !! I like to give a card using that stamp set or whatever with the set, so whoever wins it has an idea to try and copy if they want to !! I LOVE how this card turned out !!

Aren't those roses DELICIOUS !?!? And so easy to make !! Just punch out a circle (I used a 1-3/4" for the larger rose, and 1-3/8" for the two smaller ones) and cut in a spiral into the centre, leaving a small centre as the base. Then roll the paper in on itself, and glue the roll to the flat centre. I used Tombo Mono Multi Glue, works fast and holds great. I then added a pearl to the centre to dress it up. Those leaves behind them are punched from the Bird Builder punch. I love this colour combo as well; Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Marina Mist and Pear Pizzazz. Very classy, especially with the Chantilly Crochet Trim and the Pearls. Would make a great wedding card !! And it may be hard to see in the picture, but it got a healthy dose of Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz, and its really sparkly in person !!

Well, I will be busy again this week preparing for my Stamp Club next week, so drop back soon for some more fun projects !! Thanks for coming by and Happy Stamping !!

Reason to Smile Note Card Set

Hey Stampers !!

So, I am trying to NOT be in a rush for this months Stamp Club, so I am starting to prep now! LOL Todays project is my hostess gift, and it is a GORGEOUS one !! I love how it turned out, and think I might turn a version of it into a club project some time as well. It uses July's Promo stamp set, Reason to Smile. I love it !! Take a look !!

This is the Note Card holder, it holds 5 3x3 notecards and matching envelopes. Isn't it awesome !?!?! I am in LOVE. And, it uses my fav ever colour of Rose Red so that can't hurt !! LOL. It is super easy to make as well.

Take a pice of cardstock that measures 12" x 3.5" and score at 5.25" from each end. Take a second piece of cardstock measuring 4.5" x 6.5" and score at 1.5" on all sides. Fold all your score lines. To make a box out of the smaller piece of cardstock, cut on your score line on the short sides up to the other score line and fold the tab in to the bottom - adhere. Bring your sides together and adhere with sticky strip. Adhere the little box to the bottom of the longer piece of cardstock. Bring up your sides and your done !! All thats left is to decorate ! Which is the fun part. LOL. I used the Subtles DSP Stack, and the scallop from the Petite Pennants Bigz Die. Layer the 2-1/2" Circle punch on top (after you've stamped) and voila !! I also used the Large Oval punch to make some handles for my holder. Were those instructions as clear as mud !!? Let me know if you want any more info on it. LOL

Here is a picture of the cards:

Sweet or what !?! The colors used are Perfect Plum, Blushing Bride, Lucky Limeade, Pool Party and Rose Red. I love they way they all look together !! I inked up the solid image and then stamped off before I stamped on my Very Vanilla, and then stamped the outline stamp on top in the full ink colour. I love how it turned out. Two Step Stamping is totally awesome. LOL I also used my Simply Scored Diagonal Plate to make these adorable matching envelopes. Take a piece of paper 5" square, and score on all sides at 3-1/8". Fold together to make your envelope, its that easy !! And super cute.

Hope you enjoyed my project today !! I am off to New York City tomorrow (Yay Girls Weekend !!) so I will post some more stuff next week!! Have a great weekend and Happy Stamping !!

Four Season Birthday

Hey Stampers !!

Todays card uses the great new Hostess set Four Seasons. This cute set coordinated with both the 2-1/2" Circle Punch and the 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch. Each image has a cute little bird, celebrating a different season. SO adorable. And of course, I love any stamp set that coordinates with a punch !!

This image is the Summer one. Or what I take to be the summer one anyways. LOL. I stamped it once in the Rose Red and punched it out, and then coloured the little bird image again with my markers and punched it out with the 3/4" Circle punch. The beautiful dsp is from the Floral District pack, and I love all the bright colors. The focal image uses a bunch of punched layers, but of course using punches is so easy that is takes no time at all but still looks really impressive !! My favourite !! Hahaha

Well, thanks a lot for dropping by again today and Happy Stamping !!

World Treasures Gift Bag

Hey Stampers !!

My project today is a technique that I use ALL the time. Making my own gift bags !! Well, I guess MAKING them is a stretch. Decorating them then. I purchase cheap brown paper bags (with the nice "gift bag" handles) and decorate them with designer series paper and stuff. Looks SO nice and is really impressive. The one I made today uses products from the International Bazaar Suite in the Annual Catalogue. It turned out GREAT !! Have a look !!

Cute hey !?!? This is my favourite pattern from this pack of dsp, so I wanted to really show it off !! And that peacock, WOW. It took me a while to colour it in, but it was SO worth it !! I used Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango, Lucky Limeade and Rich Razzleberry markers. I then cropped it with the labels framelits and layered with the 2 largest sizes. I also used the Alhambra Stampin' Around Wheel for that strip in the back, done in Lucky Limeade. And check out that cute little matching tag !!

I cut out one of the tags from the Two Tags Bigz die and cropped it a bit shorter. Add a bit of dsp, ribbon and a sentiment and there ya go !! Love how they match !!

Well thanks for dropping by and Happy Stamping !!

Happy Birthday Nana !!

Hey Stampers !!

Tomorrow is my Mom's birthday. I posted her card from me on here a few weeks ago, but I wanted to wait until she had actually received the cards before I posted this one ! She follows my blog and I didn't want her to see BOTH cards before she actually got them in the mail. LOL Todays card is from Jackson to her. I knew I wanted it to be child LIKE but not childish. And of course, it had to be a bit masculine where it was from him. Here is what I came up with !!

What do you think !?!? I really like how it turned out. I knew I wanted to try to use this paper from the Storytime dsp. My mom has a quilt she uses that has the old Dick and Jane characters on it (from the old books she did in school when she was little) and these kids and animals reminded me of that. And I love how the Framed Tulips embossing folder turned out !! I cut the layer at just the right size, so you could see the cool scalloped border but NOT the flowers. Looks cool !! And that great shape in the middle with the sentiment on it is from the new Apothecary Accents Framelits. I just adhered the Whisper White to a piece of Riding Hood Red and trimmed around it with my paper snips so there could be a tiny border. And the cute little hearts are from the Owl Builder punch. They got all bling-ed up with the help of some Dazzling Details glitter glue !! My only regret is that there is no Nana stamp (what Jack calls Mom), but I guess Grandma will have to do !! LOL

Thanks for dropping by today !! Hope you got inspired to do some creating today !! Happy Stamping !!

Baby Prints

Hey Stampers !!

Last night I was invited to a baby shower !! It was for the wife of my hubby's really good friend (he was the Best Man at our wedding). She is having a little boy after THREE girls !! So, thats pretty special !! I knew I had to use blue for sure. LOL. Here is the card !!

I LOVE how it turned out !! Feminine enough for Mommy, but still clearly for a boy ... I used the MUST HAVE baby set Baby Prints. The little hands and feet are SO sweet in this set. I did a little bit of surgery on the set though, and cut the hands and feet apart. They are attached on the same stamp, but I like to be able to use them separately, so I cut them. and it is easy enough to use them together if I want. A great plus of using the Clear Mounted stamps !! That awesome sentiment comes with the set as well. So sweet. Another cute touch I used was the Bitty Buttons and Itty Bitty Punch Pack and Owl Builder Punch. These little clear buttons are the same shapes as the punches (the heart works with the heart from the Owl punch), so its easy to layer some cardstock under them for any colour mini button you want !! Glue Dots make this super easy. And I also used some of the yummy retired Baja Breeze Pleated Satin Ribbon. Wish this was still available !! It is SO beautiful.

Well, thats for dropping by !! Hope you enjoyed and got a bit of inspiration !! Have a great weekend and Happy Stamping !!

Daydream Medallions

Hey Stampers !!

Are you all having a good summer !?!? The weather here has been SO hot !! Us Newfoundlanders are used to cool temperatures in the summer, so these days of over 30 degrees have been SO welcomed !! Almost too hot though. My hubby was laying down grass sods in our backyard yesterday, and he was baked !! Jackson was helping Daddy, of course, with doing some watering. So adorable !! Here is a picture of our backyard shaping up !! See that white thing on Brian's head !?!? Its a towel he kept soaking with water so his head wouldn't burn !! LOL

And now, on to the Stamps !! Todays card uses the new Daydream Medallions and the matching Floral Frames Framelits. And let me tell ya, these things are HUGE !! The biggest framelit is bigger than my hand !! GORGEOUS !! Take a look and this Stamping Deliciousness !!

OMG RIGHT !?!? LOVING this set. And those framelits are just beyond awesome. This card uses 4 of the 5 framelits. I didn't use the biggest one, it was too big for the card !! This is a LOT of colour for me as well. I usually try to stick to 3 colors on a card, but this one has 5 ! Still think it looks great !! This combo of Perfect Plum, Wild Wasabi, Baja Breeze, Rose Red and Pink Pirouette is so soft and feminine, a perfect match for these beautiful stamps. I also love the tiny bit of texture from the Framed Tulips, its the perfect touch. Love it !!

Thanks for dropping by today !! Have a great one and Happy Stamping !!

Mixed Bunch Butterfly

Hey Stampers !!

Today's card uses a technique that I have been wanting to try for a WHILE, but just never actually did it. LOL. Do you find that happens to you ?? You see this awesome idea somewhere, say "I've GOTTA try that!!" and then just forget about it !?!? LOL The technique for me this time was turning the Mixed Bunch stamp set and coordinating Blossom punch into a butterfly !! The first time I saw it done I thought it was SO beautiful. And my card today does just that !!

Isn't that SO nice !?!? It looks so elegant to me. I used the Rock & Roll Technique to achieve that multi coloured look. First I inked up the flower in So Saffron and then rolled the edges in Marina Mist. Then when I stamped it on Very Vanilla, you get that graduating colour of yellow, green and blue. Then I punched it with the blossom punch and cut away 2 opposite petals. Voila Butterfly !! And it might be hard to see in the picture, but I also sprayed it with some Vanilla Smimmer Smooch Spritz so it is nice and sparkly !!

I thought the green colour looked like Certainly Celery, so I added that colour as well. Isn't the colour combo so soft and pretty ?? And that Apothecary Accent framelit embossed with the Fancy Fan folder is beautiful as a background accent along with the swirls from Everything Eleanor.

Well, thats for dropping by today !! Have a good one and try to create something beautiful today !! Happy Stamping !!

Artistic Etchings

Hey Stampers !!

Can anyone else not BELIEVE its July already !?! This summer is flying by !! It is another beautiful day here in Newfoundland, and I have 2 days off so YAY !! Hoping to get down in my Stamping Room and get some crafting in !!

The card for today is using all older products. I find it difficult sometimes to NOT use all new and exciting products !! But the Artistic Etchings set is one of my all time favs. I am a huge Paris junkie, and the Eiffel Tower is just so classic to me, I love this stamp !!

This card was inspired by a card by Krystal De Leeuw (www.krystalscardsandmore.blogspot.com). I took a bit of the layout, stamp sets and the colour inspiration from a card she posted back in January. I love how it turned out !! The Black Lace Trim and Finial Press embossing folder are both retired, but they could easily be changed to any embossing folder and ribbon. And of course, one of my most loved background stamps En Francais is showcased here !! It goes so well with the Eiffel Tower stamp (and I can't wait to use it with the new Fan Fair dsp & Postage Due stamp sets in the new catty !! More Paris !! Yay !! Hahaha) And I am loving this colour combo of Basic Black, Melon Mambo and Sahara Sand. Doesn't that pink just POP !?!?

Well thanks for dropping by and I hope this card inspired you to look at some of your "Oldie But Goodie" sets and give them a chance to get inked up too !! Happy Stamping !!
