Thanks Eleanor

Hey Stampers !!

Happy Saturday !! I hope you are all having a great weekend so far !! Its a beautiful day here in Newfoundland and we have a big family barbecue planned for this evening, so I hope it stays nice !! My card today uses the beautiful Everything Eleanor set. Its funny, when I first saw this set in the catalogue I really didn't like it. It was one of those sets that I didn't give a second glance. But I got to play with my upline Kay's set at retreat and I fell in LOVE. I even redeemed it as one of my free sets!!

What do you think of it !?!? I think it is gorgeous !! I don't really do that vintage look a whole lot, but this set is SO perfect for that !! And those amazing flowers are SO easy to make look beautiful. The stamps are so well designed that some easy watercoloring makes them just pop. I used Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy on the bigger flowers and Riding Hood Red and Cherry Cobbler for the smaller one. I love how easy they were to colour. Looks SO professional !! LOL

Well, I hope you liked todays project !! Enjoy the weekend and Happy Stamping !!

Cheers !!

Good Morning Stampers !!

Happy Friday !! This is a long weekend here in Canada (Canada Day is Sunday, so everything is closed on Monday) so I am SO excited for 5pm to come !! Hahaha. And with the end of another month, comes my Customer Thank You Cards !! I always do a card for anyone that places an order with me (not in a workshop, but online or personally). And I wanted a cute summery one for June !!

What do you think !?!? Cute hey ?? Makes me REALLY want the work day to be over ... hahaha. It uses one of my FAV new sets, Happy Hour. Its full of cute drinks, accessories (like this adorable umbrella) and a couple drink inspired sentiments. I LOVE when a stamp set has a few sentiments that match it !! And this one has some really cute ones. I went with the "cheers", the font is so fun !! And I love this colour combo of Melon Mambo and Gumball Green. I CASEd this card pretty closely from Mindy over at www.badabingcrafting.blogspot.com. I LOVE her stuff, and copy her awesome ideas pretty regularly !! Hahahahaha

Well, I hope you like todays card !! Have a great weekend and Happy Stamping !!

Peek-a-Baby

Hey Stampers !!

So I got the news yesterday that my cousin's wife is having a baby !! So exciting !! So of course, this means I have to send a card. And there is nothing like breaking in some new rubbah for a new baby, right ?!!?

Isn't this adorable !?! I did a whole pink-blue-green thing where we don't know the sex yet. And I love how Pink Pirouette, Baja Breeze & Certainly Celery look together, don't you !?! So soft and sweet. This stamp set is one of the brand new hostess only sets called Happy You. The set comes with the words attached to the image, but I preformed a little surgery and cut them apart. SO versatile that way, you can use the image and the words independently of each other. LOVE that !! And that awesome scalloped medallion is from the Perfect pennants die for the Big Shot. That die actually has 2 different styles of these guys, and I love them for layering smaller images. Packs a big punch, don't you agree ??

I hope you enjoyed todays project !! I will post more over the weekend, so drop back !! And Happy Stamping ...

Open Sea In Colors

Hey Stampers !!

The project I am showing you today is the other card I did at my June Stamp Club !! It uses 2 new In Colors and 2 of my favourite stamp sets .... take a look !!

Cool, hey !?! I seem to be in a real "masculine" space lately. I love making cards for men, and this is another great one !! Nice and CAS (clean and simple in crafter talk ... hahaha). The two colors are Summer Starfruit and Midnight Muse. I think they go SO well together. And I love the softness of Very Vanilla as the neutral, really nice and antique looking. The globe & ledger stamps come from the awesome Open Sea stamp set. The ledger is a great stamp for making cool backgrounds too. The sentiment comes from one of my all time fav sets, Word Play !! I stamped it on the card once in Midnight Muse then stamped it again in Summer Starfruit on a scrap piece of Very Vanilla and punched out the globe with my 1" Circle Punch. Popped up on a dimensional, this looks super sharp.

Well, I hope you liked my card today !! I have some more goodies to post this week as well, so come back soon !! And Happy Stamping !!

I Dig You Birthday

Hey Stampers !!

Happy Saturday !! Its a beautiful day here in Newfoundland. We have been having awesome weather lately actually, so thats great !! Last night we lit a fire in our back yard after Jack went to bed; and my sister in law, dad, aunt & uncle came up. It was great !! I love summer !!!

Today, we (well Jackson, but I am going too hahaha) are invited to a birthday party !!I hear that I will soon get sick of them, but for now I love them !! Its so fun seeing all the kids play together and all that. Yay !! So, of course, that means a card !! The birthday party has a construction theme, so I had the BEST EVER stamp set for that !! I Dig You !!

Isn't is SO cute !?!? Perfect for a little boy. I really love how it turned out. And its hard to see in the picture, but that dsp underneath is an envelope I made with the Simply Scored & Simply Scored Diagonal Plate !! I am addicted to making these envelopes. So easy and fun !! Especially for a colorful card like this one !! And this is one of my favourite ever colour combinations: Real Red, Island Indigo and Lucky Limeade. So bold and bright !! And this stamp set is so cute. A must have for anyone with little boys !!

Well, I better get going !! The party is in a couple hours and I have lots to do before then !! Thanks for dropping by and Happy Stamping !!

World Treasures for Mom

Hey Stampers !!

My card for today uses more fun new product !! I think I was trying to cram as much new stuff as possible actually ... hahahahaha ... But I like how colourful it is and how nice it turned out !! Its actually a birthday card for my Mom (but she follows my blog, so I guess she is going to see it early ... oops !! LOL) and she loves funky colours and texture, so I think she will really like it !!

What do you all think !?!?! I was not convinced if I liked it or not right up until the end. But now I think its great ! It uses the new World Treasures stamp set. Most of the samples I have seen for this set use that gorgeous peacock, but I wanted to try something a little different so I went for the flowers. That little medallion is from the set as well, but I used my markers to colour the great border and left out the sentiment so I could put the Mom from Family Reunion in there. I can see me using that technique a LOT because I love how cool it looks.

Both of the shapes are cut using the Apothecary Accents Framelits. You might be wondering how I got the mat around the bigger shape ?!? I just cut a rectangle 1/4" larger and stuck it behind; then I used the 3/4" Circle Punch for the Daffodil Delight in front and the 1" Circle Punch for the circle in back. It looks like one piece !! !! I think it turned out so awesome.

Well, I hope you like my project for today !! Drop on back soon and Happy Stamping !!

Hello Everything Eleanor!

Hey Stampers!

Now that this months Stamp CLub is over with, I can finally start to play with some new toys !! One of my fav new sets in the new catalogue is Everything Eleanor. And I received this set for FREE !! It's so nice being a demo, Stampin' Up! is really SO good to us !!

I CASEd this card from Vicky Hayes (www.craftingclare.blogspot.com). I loved her layout so much, that all I really did was add an extra layer and change up the colours and the sentiment !! I think it turned out great. I stamped that gorgeous label shape first and then stamped it on a scrap piece, cut it out, and masked over it so the swirl would look like it was sitting behind it without adding more bulk of an actual layer. Its not a technique I use a whole lot, but I love the effect. The beautiful sentiment comes from the new set Lacy & Lovely. And this combination of Pretty In Pink, Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party & Island Indigo is SO feminine and soft. I think its great!

Well, I hope you liked the project today !! Drop by again soon and in the mean time, Happy Stamping !!

Homemade Treats

Hey Stampers !!

Well, today is Father's Day. But instead of showing you the cards I made for my hubby, father and father-in-law I am showing you the yummy treats I made for them !!

I had some homemade banana breads that I made this week, and I knew that they would love that so ...  easy gift right !?! Hahaha

I think this is SO simple yet really cute !! I used the recently retired "Homemade" a la carte stamp which I will NEVER get rid of... it is so perfect for things like this ! And it is a really solid image stamp that I have NEVER been able to stamp well before. Always turned out blotchy and just not nice. But LOOK how great it turned out with the new Firm Foam stamp pads !! Its perfect !! I can't wait to replace all of my ink pads now. LOL

Well, going now to enjoy the rest of my weekend with my hubby & baby !! Have a great day and Happy Stamping !!

And then I will see something using that item and will get SUPER excited !! "OMG I HAVE that !!!" ANd then use it non stop for a while ... anyone ?? Only me ?? Hahahahaha

That is my story with the Fashionable Hearts. I used it for my DH's card yesterday, and now here it is AGAIN. And it has been just sitting there for a while. Unused. Lonely. Dejected. Ok, I may cry ... hahaha ...

Isn't that Adorning Accent hearts embossing folder just precious !!?!? I just recently got them and this is my first time using it. LOVE it. Hey Stampers !!

Today is my darling other half's birthday !! Luckily I am off work today, so I can prepare for having the family in for supper tonight. Yummy !! And CAKE !! Nothing like a cake ... hahaha ...

AND a birthday in this house ALWAYS means a hand stamped card !! Well, except for MY birthday that is. LOL. I might have to convince my DH to try stamping !! Hahaha

Here is the card I made for him !! It's a semi-CASE from the lovely and talented Catherine Pooler. Something about those Catherine's eh ?? LOL

Isn it cute !?!? I don't think it is THAT girly, do you ?? I mean, those hearts are in pretty manly colours. And look so fun with all that texture from the Fashionable Hearts embosslit. And its not bling-y or anything !! Hahahahaha. I really like this layout too. Clean & Simple. Oh, and being me I did the inside too ...

Hey Stampers !!

I am feeling SO behind this month !! Usually I have my projects for my monthly Stampers Club done REALLY far in advance. This month ?? Not so much. I just prepped one card last night, and still have another one to create before Tuesday !! AND a hostess gift and prizes for my New Catalogue Scavenger Hunt to do up !! Phew !! I am gonna be a busy gal this weekend ... LOL. Hope my hubby can help me by watching Jackson !! LOL

ANYWAYS here is the card I created for my laides using the brand new Betsy's Blossoms stamp set & matching Betsy's Blooms wheel !!

Isn't it FUN !?!? It is full of great images, but this big flower is by far my fav. And it is so versatile !! I have seen people punch out this image with a bunch of different punches: Blossom, Full Heart, Fancy Flower ... so awesome. Here I use the 2-1/2" Circle punch, and I love the modern look it gives !! And isn't that dsp delicious !?!? It's the new Flower District, and it has a bunch of great patterns and colours. And see those cute little punched flowers?? That is a flower from the dsp as well, punched with the small scallop punch from the Itty Bitty Punch pack !! Adorable. And of course, I blinded it up with my Dazzling Details. I LOVE that stuff !!

Hope you like my card today !! Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stamping !!

Happy 65th !!

Hi There Stampers !!

Todays card is one I made for my friend and co-worker Lori. Her father is turning 65 this weekend, and she needed a special card. And of course, I was more than happy to help her out !!

Isn't is GORGEOUS !?!?! I am SO pleased with it. Again, a masculine card. But still !! I think it is a stunner. Lots of cool texture and i just love the colours. And anything that uses buttons is just too cute in my book. This dsp is the retired Well Worn, and I still have some left so I decided to use it here. I love that dirty grungy look of it, and in lends itself so well to sponging and distressing. I did dust off my Cricut to cut out the numbers, I think they look super cool. I hope her father likes it too !!

Thanks for dropping by and Happy Stamping !!

My First Blog Post !!

Well, here I am. I have been a Stampin' Up! demonstrator now for 8 months, and it has been SO rewarding so far !! I have met some amazing people; both other demos and new customers ...  Most of which have become new friends as well !!

One of the most inspiring things I like to do is browse other demo's blogs. I find such great ideas and projects from them and thought it is now MY turn to try to inspire someone !! So, here I go !! LOL

Last night after my son (and husband) went to bed I went down in my Stamping Room and decided to play !! The new 2012-2013 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue went live this weekend and it really made me want to do some creating !! I had placed a (way to big) order, but of course I need to wait about 2 weeks for it to get to me here in Newfoundland !! So I decided to play with some of my "oldies but goodies". One of my fav older sets is Lovely As A Tree. And now in the NEW catty it is available in clear mouint as well !! Super fun !!

One of the biggest challanges as a Stamper is making masculine cards !! I keep wanting to pile on bling and layers and ribbons ... hahaha ... So, I need a bunch of manly cards for this month, and this is one of them !!
