Tea for Two, Me and You ...

Hey Stampers,

Do you ever find that sometimes there are stamp sets that are on your wish list for AGES and you just never get around to buying them ?? Thats the story with me and the Tea Shoppe stamp set. This set was in the Occasions Mini last year, and I thought it was SO cute! Tea is pretty big for lots of members of my family, so I knew it was a stamp set I needed to get. But the Occasions Mini came and went, and I never managed to get it. And then, lo and behold, it was brought back in the main catalogue in June !! So back on my Wish List it went. But, I STILL hadn't got around to getting it until this month !! But I am so glad that I did. What a great set !! Sweet tea cups and images, but also a few really nice sentiments !! I am so glad that I got this set !! And my Aunt Dianne came home for Christmas this year, and a bigger tea junkie you never did see, so I made this sweet card to welcome her home !! Take a look and tell me what you think !!

Isn't that sweet ? And I really love this color combo of Basic Gray, Wisteria Wonder and Primrose Petals. Very subtle and soft. I stamped the big Tea Cut in Wisteria Wonder onto Whisper White cardstock and then cut it out. How did I do so well next to the handle you ask !?! The wing from the Bird Punch fits in there PERFECTLY !! I just needed to do a tiny bit of trimming on the bottom part, but essentially that whole piece just punched right out !! LOVE that !! My "tea bag" is a piece of Whisper White that I punched with the Large Tag Punch (retired, but the Extra Large one is still around) and I sponged it with Soft Suede and Basic Gray ink to make it look like tea. I then used White Bakers Twine and my 1/16" Handheld Circle Punch to attach my little sentiment. So sweet. My last piece of stamping with the beautiful "tea for two" sentiment. I colored that with my Stampin' Write Markers and die cut it with the Labels Collection Framelits.

The Primrose Petals layer measures 3-3/4" by 5" and I embossed it using the beautify Lacy Brocade embossing folder. I then used a piece of the Basic Gray DSP from the Neutrals Patterns stack that I die cut with the Adorning Accents scalloped edgelit. This got layered with a second piece of patterned DSP, this time the Wisteria Wonder stripes. Love using a bunch of these different patterns on one project. The designs are so subtle that they can be mixed and match easily without looking too busy. Some 1/4" Basic Gray Stitched Grosgrain ribbon and a pretty bow finished off this sweet card. I am addicted to that ribbon, I only have a couple more colors to get and then I have them all !! And at $6.75 for 10 yards it is SO affordable !! So great !!

Well, thats my project for today. I hope you liked it and if you have friends or family that like tea as much as mine do, why not get this stamp set for yourself as well !! Thanks for dropping by today and Happy Stamping !!
