Henry Says Sneak Peak

Hey Stampers,

Good Day !! I had a GREAT day yesterday. My Spring Catalogue preorder came !! WOO HOO !! So much fun new stuff !! I was super busy last night, but I did have a few spare moments to put all my stuff away AND do a tiny bit of playing !! One of my favorite stamp sets from the new catalogue (which goes live on January 3rd) is the beyond adorable Henry Says. its the cutest little elephant, and a bunch of his accessories. Little hats, and things that hang off his trunk (or come out of his trunk) and some sentiments. I am IN LOVE with his cuteness !! Since he comes with some little Christmas stamps, I thought to make a Christmas card with this set would be perfect for this time of year !! Take a look at what I came up with !!

OK, tell me thats NOT adorable !! I had the same Be of Good Cheer DSP still on my desk from my December Thank You cards, so I decided to use it here as well !! I stamped Henry the Elephant in some Early Espresso ink onto the polka dot dsp and cut him out with my Paper Snips. Then I took my brand new (also sneak peak) Ovals Framelits and cut out a Very Vanilla one and a Gumball Green one.  I used a bit of Dotto to temporarily attach Henry to the Vanilla oval, so I could stamp my little string of ornaments. I stamped them in early Espresso and then colored them in with my So Saffron, Baja Breeze, Gumball Green and Cherry Cobbler markers. I also stamped the little santa hat and the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink, cut out the hat and punched the Merry Christmas with my Word Window Punch. It was pretty easy to assemble my little scene. I put dimensionals behind the body of the elephant for some dimension, but stuck down the trunk with Snail so the ornaments would look right. I also snailed on the hat to his head. I took a bit of Sahara Sand marker to add shadow beneath him, so it didn't look like he was just floating there. The sentiment got a Baja Breeze Modern Label Punch background, and adhered to the oval. I then attached the Vanilla oval to the Gumball Green oval. LOVE these Ovals !! Such a great shape for lots of things !!

My card base is a piece of Cherry Cobbler. I added a layer of the pretty snowflake DSP from Be of Good Cheer, I will be so sad when I have none of that paper left !! I felt the card needed something else to dress up the background, so I added some of the 1/4" Early Espresso Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon in a simple knot, and that was perfect !! Love this sweet card !! I can't wait to use this stamp set to make some Valentines and Birthday stuff too !! YAY !! Love new product !!

Thanks so much for stopping by today !! If you would like one of the 2013 Spring Catalogues, let me know and I would be happy to send one to you !! Have a great day and Happy Stamping !!
