Happy Frosty Friends

Hey Stampers,

Even with all the hustle and bustle of getting prepared for Christmas, I STILL have to prep Stamp Club this month !! I had some "free time" (well, no time is free ... but you know what I mean LOL) and I decided I would be semi on the ball, and create one of the projects for this month !! I knew I wanted to have a "winter" theme this month. Not necessarily Christmas, but some of the fun winter stamps that will be retiring on January 3rd when the Holiday Catalogue is over (boo hoo). I knew that one project HAD to feature the fabulous Frost Friends single stamp. There is not much I like more than Snowmen, they are SO cute and during the winter my house is filled with them. So this sweet stamp was a must have for me this season. Have a look at what I created with it !!

Isn't that fun !?! I LOVE this color combo as well. Basic Grey, Whisper White, Marina Mist and Real Red. Seems very winter to me !! I stamped the snowmen with Jet Black StazOn ink and then watercolored them with my Blender Pens. So easy to watercolor snowmen ... they are mostly white anyway !! So this step goes by pretty quickly. Then I stamped the Happy Christmas from the More Merry Messages in Real Red ink. This then got die cut with the Labela Collection Framelits. This die cut was then layered onto the largest framelit from the Apothecary Accents collection in MArina Mist. Love how those 2 shapes go together !!

My Basic Grey card base was ran through my Big Shot with the Northern Flurry embossing folder. After adding my die cuts, I took a piece of Real red cardstock that had been punched with the Scallop Dotted Ribbon Border Punch, adhered a thin strip of Silver Glimmer paper to it and stuck it on the bottom for my card. Just the perfect amount of sparkle, don't you think !! A few DSP banners added some color to the top left corner; the gray came from the Howlstooth and Scaringbone DSP (Yes Hallowe'en !!), the red came from the Summer Smooches DSP (summer too !! awesome !!) and the blue was from the Subtles Patterns DSP Stack. Cute or what !?!? Love it !! I made the flagged ends of the banners using the 1" Square Punch ... really easy and fool proof.

Well, I really hope you liked my card today. Can't wait for my Club Girls to make it next week !! Thanks a lot for stopping by and Happy Stamping !!
