December Thank You Cards

Hey Stampers !!

Well, we are in the home stretch now. Only 8 more sleeps !! This time next week will be Christmas Eve, my favorite day of the year. I always liked Christmas Ever more than actual Christmas Day. Something about the anticipation, and going to church in the evening, and then all my family (aunts, uncles, in laws) all come up to our house after church for some snacks and drinks. SO fun !! Can't wait for that !! Anyways, on to business !! The card I am sharing with you guys today is the one I am using for my December Thank You Cards ! If you place an order through me during the month, either online or if you contact me to place it for you, you get one of these cute cards !! Have a look !! Wouldn't you love to recieve one of these sweet cards in the mail from me !?!

I really love how this card turned out. And it all started with the combo (in my head) of the Bold Snowflake stamp and this polka dot paper from the be of Good Cheer DSP. I knew I wanted to use this awesome single stamp. Don't you love it ?? And even better, it coordinates with the fab Blossom Punch. For only $7.95 its a super must have for me, and if you think so too get it now !! It's available only until January 2nd !! This DSP I also love. The Be of Good Cheer DSP only says it coordinated with Cherry Cobbler and Gumball Green, but the polka dot pattern (and the snowflake patterns I used as well) have some Pinks and Blues in there as well. Really pretty !! So I decided to use Baja Breeze and Primrose Petals along with the Gumball Green. Love that color combo !!

My main layer took a bit of fiddling, but I think it was totally worth it. I used the Tasteful Trim Die to die cut my Gumball Green scallops, and then attached it to a piece of Very Vanilla (mine measured 4" x 5-1/4"). Then a 3" x 4" piece of the polka dot DSP got layered over the edge of the scallop. This whole piece got run through the Big Shot with the Top Note Die. Speaking of must haves, the Top note is HIGH on my list. The shape and size is so perfect for card layers, and that stitching ?!? Beyond adorable. Then I stamped the Happy Christmas from the More Merry Messages set in Primrose Petals, stamped the Bold Snowflake in Baja Breeze onto a scrap of Very Vanilla and punched it out with the Blossom Punch. I used my Bone Folder to curl up the snowflake and popped it up with a dimensional. A sparkly Rhinestone to the centre, and my main layer panel was done !

My card base of Baja Breeze seemed a little flat, so I added a 1-1/2" strip of the snowflake DSP that I had punched with the Scallop Border Punch. A piece of the 3/8" Primrose Petals Stitched Satin Ribbon added the second punch of pink that I wanted, and helped to break up the "vanilla on vanilla" thing I had going. Added the perfect touch, I think !!

Well, thanks for stopping by today !! If you would like to get one of these cards in the mail from me, drop by my online store ! The Clearance Rack Blitz is still going on, so there are some great deals to be had !! Have a great day and Happy Stamping !!
