Hey Stampers !!
Merry Christmas Eve !! It is snowing here today ... really puts you in the Christmas mood ! I can't believe that tomorrow is Christmas Day. December has really flown by, don't you think ?? We had our traditional Fish Family Dinner last night at my dad's house. We usually have it on Christmas Eve, but it's always such a rush to get to church on time we decided to push it up to the 23rd. So tonight is church and then snacks here at our house ! Can't wait !! My project today is another take on the tag you saw here, only this is a bigger one used for a wine bottle !! I really love how it turned out. Such a festive way to dress up a simple gift ! Have a look !!
Here is a picture of the full wine bottle. I made the tag nice and long, so I had lots of room to decorate. Really really pretty !! I have a more close up picture of the tag below.
The main wreath image is from the Daydream Medallions stamp set. I inked it up in Garden Green and stamped it onto a Very Vanilla piece of cardstock measuring 3-1/4" square. I then stamped one of the star images from the Merry Minis stamp set in Cherry Cobbler, More Mustard and Not Quite Navy ink 3 times each onto scrap Very Vanilla. Then I punched them out with the matching punch. I made a little bow using 3/8" Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon and attached it to the wreath using Mini Glue Dots. Then I attached all of the cute little stars using cut up pieces of Dimensionals. This whole piece got layered onto a piece of Not Quite Navy that measured 3-1/2" square.
The tag itself is a piece of Garden Green that measures 2-1/2" wide by around 8" long. I scored the top where I wanted the tag to start hanging down, and used my 1-3/8" Circle Punch to make the hole for the neck of the bottle to come up through. I then cut the bottom edge of the tag with the Large Scallop Edgelit; a scrap of More Mustard was cut as well and then embossed with one of the patterns from the Delicate Designs embossing folder set. This then got layered onto the tag. Love how it fancies up the bottom, don't you ?? Then a strip of DSP from the Be of Good Cheer paper got layered onto the tag. A banner with Merry Christmas (from the More Merry Messages stamp set) was put on the bottom. I curled it up using my bone folder, and fancied up the whole tag with a smattering of Basic Pearls. LOVE how it turned out !!
Thanks so much for dropping by today !! Have a very Merry Christmas and I will see you soon !! Happy Stamping !!
