Blue Ribbon Birthday

Hey Stampers,

Hows everyone today ?? I can't believe there are only a couple of days left to 2012 !! This year has flown by, but I am excited to see what 2013 has in store for me ! Jackson was at a birthday party just before Christmas, for a little girl that turned 1. I thought the sweet Blue Ribbon stamp set would be PERFECT for that, so I paired it with the awesome Patio Party DSP to make a card and matching gift bag. Here is what I came up with !!

Isn't that cute ?? I love that ribbon image. I stamped it once in Primrose Petals onto Whisper White cardstock, and that got punched out with the co-ordinating 2-3/8" Scalloped Circle punch. Then I stamped the ribbon tails image onto the cute Baja Breeze Heart patterned paper in Midnight Muse ink. Then I cut them out with my Paper Snips and attached them to the scalloped image. For my centre "1" image, I stamped it in Summer Starfruit ink and punched it out with the 1-1/4" Circle Punch. I layered it on a piece of Baja Breeze that I had punched with the 1-3/8" Circle punch and attached it to the ribbon with a dimensional. Sweet ! Perfect for a little girl turning 1 !! I also stamped the Happy Birthday image in Baja Breeze and punched it out with the 1-3/8" Circle punch, and then layered it onto a Midnight Muse Curly Label punch. This was it for my stamping.

I ran a piece of Whisper White measuring 3-3/4" x 5" through my Big Shot with the Chevron Embossing Folder. Then I had some strips of the Patio Party DSP in varying widths (all 5" long) and stuck them towards the right of the card. I also tucked in a skinny piece of Summer Starfruit cardstock that I had punched with the Dotted Scalloped Ribbon Border punch. Love how those little scallops break up the patterns and add a great punch of color. I also added a piece of the Summer Starfruit Stitched Satin ribbon to anchor my birthday sentiment. Love that delicious ribbon !! A layer of Primrose Petals was added to the back of the Whisper White and this was all put onto a Midnight Muse card base.

Here is a picture of the matching gift bag that I made. I love having these plain brown paper bags around that I can jazz up for any occasion. This banners pattern of DSP is almost too busy for a card, but it looks great on this bag !! I added a couple strips of cardstock to the bottom, and some fun scallops to the top that I die cut with the Tasteful Trim Bigz Die. Love that die !! A bow of Primrose Petals Stitched Satin Ribbon on the bag handle finishes off this sweet project. Love when I can have the card and bag match !! So fun.

Well, thanks for dropping by today !! Have a great weekend and Happy Stamping !!
