No Peeking Gift Box

Hey Stampers !!

My November Stamp Club is this week, and I am showing you one of the projects we are making ! I saw a box sort of like this in Stampin' Success (the awesome bi-monthly demo only magazine) and I thought it was SO adorable !! It uses the Kraft Boxes, which are great fir giving little gifts and treats. I had never used them before, and I am now hooked ! They are so cute and fun ! The stamp set I used is No Peeking, one of my fav kid-like Christmas sets, which is in the Annual Catalogue. Lots of great fun elements on this project ... have a look !!

Isn't it so sweet ?!? I kind of fiddled with the box a bit, by cutting of the top of the box so I could make the side flaps point up. More room in the box and a bit more interesting to look at too ... LOL After assembling the box, I added two 3/4" strips of Be Of Good Cheer DSP. You need more than the 12" to go around the box, so I added another 3" piece and that did it. The joins can be hidden beneath the bow.

This tag was made using the Delicate Doilies Sizzlet Die. This is the biggest one and is my favorite of the 3 on the die. Isn't it so stunning !?!? I used Gumball Green for this piece, and then had a Cherry Cobbler 1-3/4" Scallop Circle that I cut in half to go behind my stamped image. Thus set comes with a few really cute images, but I chose the Snowman for this project. I colored him in using my Stampin Write Markers in Early Espresso, Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake. I then stamped him onto Very Vanilla and cropped him out with the Labels Collection Framelits. A tiny flower from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack and a pearl on his hat finishes off his cuteness. I then punched some holed in the flaps of the box with the 1/16" Handheld Circle Punch and used some Early Espresso Bakers Twine to attach him to the box. Tied in a bow, the twine is hoe you open and close the box as well.

This is a shot of the other flap of the box. This sentiment comes from the No Peeking set as well (obviously ... hahaha) and adds some more whimsey to this fun project.

Here is my SO CUTE Paper Bow !! Isn't that adorable !?!? And it is SO easy. You need 5 strips of Be Of Good Cheer DSP )or any paper really); measuring 8", 6", two 3" and a 2". All of mine were 1" wide. You take the 2 longest (in my case the 8" and 6") and put some Snail on both ends, then bring the to the middle to make your loops. Then attach these to pieces together. The 2" piece gets adhesive all on the back and get wrapped around the middle to look like the square part of the bow. Then the two 3" pieces get the banner flag ends and gets stuck to the back to look like the parts of the bow that hang down. And thats it !! I adhered the bow to the box using a couple dimensionals. Love this little bow !! It would be great to add to a gift bag or a Christmas gift as well, don't you think ?!?

Well, I hope you liked my project today !! There was a lot of things to highlight, but I think they all went together pretty well !! Thanks for dropping by today and Happy Stamping !!
