Two Pocket Hallowe'en Treat Holder

Hey Stampers !!

Happy Friday !! Hope you all are having a great week and that you are planning on an even greater weekend !! I am unfortunately working this weekend, so I don't really have any plans. Hoping to just be able to relax on Sunday ! Fingers crossed !! LOL Last night was my October Stamp Club, and we all had a great time !! Love getting together with friends and stamping (and talking and eating ... hahaha). My project today is the EASIEST treat holder I have ever made ... it doesn't even use any adhesive !! And you can get 4 of them out of one 12x12 piece of DSP !! Sounds good to me !! LOL. Its a 2 pocket treat holder, and I think they are just perfect for holding the delicious Ghirardelli Chocolate Squares. Have a look !!

OK, isn't that ADORABLE !?! And they are SO easy !! You take a 6"x6" piece of paper (I used the beautiful Howlstooth and Scaringbone DSP, but cardstock would work great too) and score it from corner to corner on your Simply Scored Diagonal Plate. Then rotate and score at 2" and turn upside down and score at 2" again (both of the scores at 2" should cross over the middle score). And thats IT !! Then fold your two corners in, and fold in half so you make 2 pockets, one in the front and one in the back !! I then used a regular hole hunch and punched at the top and used the 1/8" Basic Black Taffeta Ribbon to tie it closed, but you could also just use a staple or some Bakers Twine or something. LOVE IT !!

Where I am using this treat for Halloween, I had to look through my stash of stamp sets for the PERFECT stamp image to decorate this!! And I found it in the retired Gift Givers stamp set. Isn't the little pumpkin patch so sweet ?? This retired set has an image for just about every holiday you can think of, and each one matches a different punch !! This Halloween image matches the Decorative Label punch. I stamped the image on Very Vanilla with Jet Black StazOn and used my blender pens to color in using Tangerine Tango, More Mustard and a hint of Old Olive for the pumpkin stems. After punching out, I punched out a second Decorative Label punch in a coordinating cardstock color, cut it in half and layered the ends behind my stamped image. Love doing that !! So easy and really makes the stamped image pop, don't you think ??

Well, thats it for me today !! I hope whoever gets these treats think they are as cute as I do !! Thanks for dropping by today and Happy Stamping !!
